    Making a batch of 40 of these as a gift for my pageant sisters. I've never heard of using baby oil before! I've always seen the glue and water recipe. Very cool!

      @AlyssaCotten  2 года назад

      Wow that is so kind and thoughtful of you! I another option is to buy empty travel containers and add the glitter and oil to the container. I have done that when I need to make a bulk batch! I get the biggest baby oil to make a bunch of 3 ounce containers!

    OMG, Alyssa, my kids are past toddler timeouts but I am a huge advocate of timeouts but in the way where the kid actually calms down. The idea is to calm their emotions at that moment. The long term goal is to teach them that they can calm themselves down and that it's not worth their time to pull a temper tantrum. Anyways...I will recommend this to all my friends with toddlers. My 9yr old gets anxious during this homeschooling time and so I am going to be making one for him to use everytime we sit down to do homework. This is going to be good for the both of us! Homeschooling is hard stuff!! Thank you for this video!

    • @AlyssaCotten
      @AlyssaCotten  2 года назад +1

      Oh no, I’m so sorry it didn’t come out. Sometimes I have to use the tip of the scissors and stick it in the middle of the stopper to pull it out. I hope that helps.

    Any suggestions for getting the plug out of the bottle? I’d like to do this project with families but I’m worried that it might be a little dangerous. I tried it myself and ended up using an awl to get the plug out. Also, I discovered that if I take the plug out and don’t return it, then I couldn’t open the bottle again. Any ideas?

    • @AlyssaCotten
      @AlyssaCotten  3 года назад

      When I did this as a group project, I had the bottles all opened with the stopper taken out so all they had to do was add the glitter and put the stopper back in. If the scissors do not work, you can use a tiny crochet hook and scoop the stopper out. (if you make the hole too big, you can put some hot glue to plug it up) You will need to make sure the stopper goes back in so it doesn't leak. Hope this helps! excited for you to make some!
