Hey guys! The reviews on my second channel "Shree Talks" will be up from the first week of May. I finally found a new house and will be moving out next week from all this construction noise near me :) I'm scared and excited!
Good luck! You got this!
That's awesome, congrats Shree
This movie ranked at #17 in the 100 scariest movie moments on Bravo
I was 9 when I 1st watched that movie lol :):)
@@kylereese4822 I remember seeing this movie on tape back in the day when I was young but I didn't know how old I was
Nancy is one of the best Final Girls: compassionate, smart, resourceful. She's such a great character.
38:13 "Everything's under control!"
This was the part that _really_ pissed me off. I started practically yelling at the screen. "Don't tell her everything's under control. She's calling for _help._ And her _father,_ your _chief,_ previously promised her that he would be _in_ her room, ready to make an arrest when she woke _up._ Why _wasn't_ he? Where _is_ he?"
"Bro yanked a whole woman through a peephole!" 😱
Nightmare is a fun series, once you get into it, though the individual entries can vary wildly.
As a talkative villain, Freddy can be a lot of fun, and Robert Englund never misses a chance to ham it up.
The reverse blood fountain is extremely simple, but looks incredible. The room is set dressed upside down, everything bolted to the ceiling, etc, with a large drop tank of fake blood above. Release the tank, film the beauty, flip the footage upside down. One of my favorite horror scenes, on par with The Shining's blood elevator.
And it's a FANTASTIC example of editing helping a scene. The original version had Depp's body coming back out of the bed, but the version in the film is so much more terrifying because we DON'T see what's left. Great stuff.
&& i believe everyone on set nearly drowned doing that scene because they couldn’t stop it, something like that
@@wendymartinez4873 I think there was an electrical problem and the camera operator got stuck upside down in pitch dark. There was a bit of a panic.
And the blood coming out the bed was put in slow motion when edited. That’s why it looks so smooth.
@Patrick the room itself was built on a rotating axis so when they called action on the shot the crew began to rotate the room…see the documentary Never Sleep Again for reference! It’s awesome!
I remember getting chills as a little kid in the 80's when the mom revealed the story of how the parents murdered Freddy and even took his freaking claws! Seriously, mom, WE NEED FAMILY THERAPY!
You mentioned whoever created Freddy ... that they captured a nightmare perfectly . The character was created by the director Wes Craven . He based him on partly a dirty homeless man , he saw at night when he was a kid dressed similar to Freddy . And combined it was a story of a boy who died in his sleep from a nightmare , in Vietnam . That he read in a newspaper article .
Yeah and he got the name Freddy from a kid that used to bully him. And the Freddy look came from a guy dressed in a hat and a long jacket. Wes was staying at a clinic or hospital or something once and he couldn't sleep because the guy used to start at him through the door. It was crazy.
That's so creative!
those are micro dreams, when you don't sleep for a long time so you hallucinate a little bit in real life
Johny Depp was 21 in this and then the next year he started the original 21 jump street show which was amazeballs!
Can't wait to check it out!
RIP to the greatest & most visionary horror director to ever do it. You're greatly missed, but will never, ever be forgotten...only discovered by new horror fans for many years to come.
❤
Saw this in the theater, age 7... Nov of 84. I'd seen Gremlins (literally) 13 times that summer.. so I thought I was ready... I begged my dad to take me.. offering my allowance to pay for our tickets.. hes like "you sure?".. I'm like "YEAH, its like Gremlins"... so we get to the theater during Tina's first dream..I wasnt ready.. I made a Bee-line for the doors.. he grabbed me and pulled me back in.. "Oh no ya dont.. you dragged me all the way out here.. were watching this.. close your eyes if your scared." - well, we watched it.. and I wouldn't take a bath or sleep for days...but it gave me big bragging rights in the 2nd grade.. I was one of 2 kids that had seen it... and it made me the weird horror geek I am today. We went to see Part 2 a few months later.
Oh my god age 7?! I would've cried like a baby lol... That's awesome though!
I dont remember when i became a horror-obessed guy...
please do the whole series! I like that you actually do commentary rather than just ooooh and ahhhhhs. The rest of the series will surprise you
Thank you so much :) I'm glad you enjoyed!
@@ShreeNation Looking forward to your next Elm Street reaction! 🤩
Theres a weird companion film to this called DREAMSCAPE (1984)... my theory is someone got a hold of the Nightmare script before it was made and said "What if we made this a scifi film".. there are elements both films share... including a dream hopping knife fingered villain.
That's interesting🤔
@@ShreeNation I hate 2 burst your bubble but Holy Water's not going 2 permanently work against/on him (Freddy The Bastard Son of 100 Maniacs/The Springwood Slasher turned Dream Demon Krueger) since he returns in Part 4 after Holy Water's used against/on him in Part 3!
@@ShreeNation at least now ya see why the adults of that town 15 years after the events of this film worked so 2 permanently contain him ( Freddy The Bastard Son of 100 Maniacs/The Springwood Slasher turned Dream Demon Krueger) leading up 2 events of Freddy vs Jason 2003!
This is my favorite horror movie of all times. Discovered it when I was 9 y.o. (which was in 1991, so 7 years after it came out) Lended to me by a friend who's father had a full room of recorded movies on video tapes.
I had to say I'm impressed, cause I have seen it countless times, and it's only a few month ago, by watching other reactions to it, that I had a theory popping out in my head, that you litterally phrased out here on your first watch : "Is this whole movie is a Nightmare ?".
It would actually explain a lot of things that if you think about them doesn't make sense, like the phone calls while Nancy is supposed to be awake, or the fact that Freddy isn't actually in her arms, but under her bed when she woke up from the last nightmare, or that he could have turned around the cops going through the kitchen, while still on fire, not being noticed.
My arguments to make this theory solid are those two :
- The movie title is "A Nightmare on Elm Street", not "Nightmares on Elm Street", like there's only one of them
- After the introduction scene, the scene where we discover the group while Tina is talking about her nightmare is introduced by the little girls that sing Freddy's rhyme. Which is known, in the franchise, to be a sign that what you see is a dream. So if this moment supposed to be in "reality" is actually a dream, then most probably everything is.
I agree, that makes sense.
It was all a dream of Nancy's. There was never meant to be a sequel or a franchise to this. But the people at New Line Cinema saw the dailies and knew they had a hit on their hands. They wanted Wes Craven to tack on an ending where Freddy comes back at the end. He didn't want to do it but had no real say in it. But basically this was one big nightmare of Nancy's which means Freddy probably doesn't exist and nobody died
@@adamclifton29 Some ppl argue it's actually her mom's nightmare. She sees the kids driving off in the end, and end herself back in the house with Freddy. 😃
in the extended version of this movie.....The audience finds out that Nancy had an older sibling that was killed by Freddy.....
🤯 i wish they kept that in.
This was Johnny Depp's first film, and speaking of, he's in court right now trying to prove his innocence for physically abusing ex wife Amber Heard. I wish him the best of luck.
Yes, this was his first film; however he's not in court to prove his innocents, he's actually suing her for $50 for defamation.
@@kevmodee1866 yes that is true, but that will also on the side if you will say to the world he is NOT a WB. Right now also in this trial with all the evidence that has been provided, it looks more that Amber was the abuser and Johnny was the victim. They had a screwed up relationship but he never hit her.
Actually, it was a defamation suit
the line god i look 20 years old, is an in joke as the actress was 20 years old at the time LOL.. this film blends reality with nightmare, and blurring of the two, fun fact when freddy was on fire it was the longest fire walk scene and maybe still is today
Oh my, hope the actor/stuntman is alright.
I like how the most unbelievable part of this movie is Freddy pulling the mom thru the window. Lol. Nice reaction!! This movie kick started my love of horror movies. I saw it when I was way too young, but I couldn’t not watch it no matter how much it scared me. Subscribed for this reaction alone. Looking forward to exploring the rest of your reactions. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you so much :)
They built the room upside down to get the effect it’s on the extra features on the blue ray
That's awesome!
I hated horror movie's and then I saw this in the theater, and Freddie scared the shit out of me, but I also absolutely loved his character at the same time😱 Robert Englund played in an episode of Bones as a janitor at her high school and he hammed it up in that episode. If you get a chance sometime it's a fun episode😊
They built a rotating room for Tina's death, things were nailed down in the room, stuff that is on the floor is on the ceiling, and the stuff on ceiling was on the floor, they used the same room for Glen's death so when the blood is pouring out it's coming from the ceiling and spreading across the floor, they digitally reversed it to make it seem like it was shooting out from the bed that was actually nailed on the ceiling.
That's so cool! Thanks for the breakdown :)
@@ShreeNation my pleasure. I know this movie inside and out essentially
"I can't wait wait to watch any sequels, if it has any..." HA! All of them. It has all the sequels.
I just remembered the night I saw this movie I had a dream or actually a nightmare and frickin Freddy was there. I woke up to a friend of mine tapping on the window to get me to sneak out, OMFG I remember wanting to kick her ass but at the same time hug her. She saved my life 😁😁It never happened again, thank god!!😂
🤣
Glad you liked it nightmare on elm Street is my favorite horror movie of all time
I had an idea for a reboot, what if freddy was innocent, we all know people get falsely accused all the time, and the parent went into mob justice and burned an innocent man, thats why he was coming after thier kids, it would add a different view on the film. In the remake they do say maybe, he was innocent of it but i thought they should have gone further.
Pitch this to Netflix!
This story was inspired by newspaper reports of Asian kids dying in their sleep.
When you have an itchy back you call Freddy, he's got that super reach. : D
😆
Shree! I encourage you to check out Mick Garris' interview with Wes Craven. It's a show called Post Mortem and it's on RUclips. It's a wonderful interview showcasing Wes to be one of the most thoughtful and humane people working in cinema (RIP). He talks a lot about the inception of Nightmare on Elm Street as well as his other work (like Scream). Really great interview. I miss Wes.
Would love to!
When Tina tells Rod "Jungle man fix Jane" that is a Tarzan refrence. Tarzan was a caveman cartoon backing the 80's and when Jane would get kidnapped Tarzan would "save" her.
20:08 "I'm gonna go and look for somebody, and I want you to stand sort of a guard, okay?"
That means you _stand._ On your _feet._ Walk around to keep the blood circulating, but _don't sit down._ Don't make yourself comfortable in _any_ way, to _any_ extent until she wakes _up._
22:29 See? _That's_ what happens.
Thank you for reacting to this. My favorite film villain since Dracula is right here. I love the atmosphere and score. Heather Langenkamp (Nancy Thompson) was my first crush as a teen.
Robert Englund was fantastic as Fred Krueger. Ironically, he was previously best known as the friendly alien Willie in a series called "V". He once said he was tired of playing everyone's buddy and auditioned for the role of Fred Krueger to avoid typecasting.
Both the death Tina Grey (first victim) and Glen (Johnny Depp) were achieved by building the set as a rotating room.
My own interpretation of the ending goes like this: As a being who stalks through dreams, Fred Krueger is vulnerable if he is pulled into our world. Nancy was able to do this. The 'problem' as best I understand it is that when she took her boyfriend's advice, she told Fred that he was 'nothing', that everything was just a dream. In so doing, she 'put him back' into the dream world where he 'rules'. This enabled him to escape for lack of better wording, and led to the end that we were shown.
Good interpretation, makes sense :)
Ooh I love your interpretation of the ending, that would explain it!
This is LOOSELY based on a true story. Wes read an article of a kid in another country who was afraid to sleep. He told his parents if he slept he knew he would die. A few days later they found him dead. He had a coffee maker in his closet. Wes told this story in one of the horror documentaries I have watched. Sorry I don't remember what one.
🤯 the real story sounds so scary.
This movie was really scary, I had many jump scares at the Theater. Robert Englund was exceptional as Freddie. I enjoyed your reactions and commentary. Looking forward to more. Thank you. 👍
Thank you so much :)
everything from where he kissed her through the phone “ i’m your boyfriend now Nancy” is all a dream.
"I look 20 years old!" Children are terrified by it. Adults laugh at it. ;)
As an iconic figure, Freddy ranks up there with Dracula.
Always cracks me up when the end turns into the A team meets Scooby Doo!! The ability to set all those traps AND fall into a deep dreaming sleep in that 20 minutes is one hell of a talent!
The "Blood Fountain" was an interesting practical effect. It was created by inverting a room and pouring blood thru the bed. I never understood the ending of this movie. It is later revealed he feasts on the souls of children.
Not sure exactly which part of the ending you don’t understand but if you’re referring to her turning her back and Freddy still winding up being a car and driving off with everyone, while also pulling a woman through a peephole… you can “blame” Bob Shaye for that… he demanded a rewrite/reworking of the ending that left open the potential for sequels… In Wes’ original vision for the story it ended with Nancy taking back the power, defeating Freddy, and basically waking up to realize “it was all a dream” if you ask me it all being a dream was an equally awful ending and I prefer how it is because we got the rest of the franchise from it. But, yeah the ending we have here is basically blatant “we’re gonna make a fortune from this…” and in Bob’s defense, New Line Cinema was on the brink of bankruptcy pre-Freddy, and is considered “the house that Freddy built.” If it weren’t for Freddy Krueger, we might not have the Hobbit movies or the LOTR trilogy(all New Line releases) so it’s weird how it works out sometimes huh? Sorry for the rambly reply but hope maybe I cleared something up, I don’t know haha.
I just absolutely LOVE you Shree... been hoping you would do this one!! You made me very happy... Time to watch and enjoy.. thx Shree :)
Aw I'm glad you enjoyed :)
Yeah, the way to look at most, if not all, Elm St movies (and most horror movies from the 80's and 90's) is the story ends when the killer dies or is vanquished in the end, and the epilogue is just something fun to end the story with and maybe give a little sequel bait. And that's sequel bait saying that "the killer can come back for a another movie", not really "this is how the next movie will start".
The epilogue scare rarely makes sense to the story, and is rarely considered canon, there are of course exceptions to this rule.
Your so lucky Shree that you can see even nightmares. I wish i could see nightmares, you wake up feeling more fresh like you actually have sleep, it seems that people need to see dreams even nightmares.
May i suggest Hellraiser movie 1987 and series. It´s only movie that make me uneasy. Jason, freddie, texas chainsaw, hills have eyes are all good movies/stories but they don´t even startle me.
Well I'd much rather prefer dreams about ice cream and Disneyland than nightmares 😅😅 thank you for the recommendations!
Check out Mark Kermode’s interesting, insightful rant on RUclips as he reviews the remake of this movie and praises the original. He’s a professional movie reviewer on an English radio program.
Nice to meet a fellow Mark Kermode fan :) Will definitely check out his rant, I miss his show so much.
@@ShreeNation Please do. I miss his rants. In fact, I watched a few this weekend. I enjoy watching them after doing some screenwriting or working on a film project.
Wes Craven, the director of this brilliant film, was such a creative genius. A true master of horror.
9:06 "Is somebody there?"
🤦 Why are you looking for him?
9:12 "Why do these pantless women keep going _towards_ the bad guy?"
And _unarmed_ as well.
I suspect the ending was just added for weird shock value. Freddy is a much cooler villian than Jason, just because of the surreal atmosphere. Love the you-must-stay-awake theme. Kids DO have nightmares, yet they must sleep, so everyone can relate to the horror.
Well done reaction and commentary... keep it up!
Thank you so much :)
it was a combination of the producer Robert Shaye hoping to be able to have a sequel and Wes was low on time to finish it up, so they made a compromise and added the 3 endings that they talked about most and put it as the ending for the film so they could shut the production down without going over budget.
I hope you choose to react to the sequels. Many fans including myself think A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors is the best, even better than this. I love all but 3 of the movies, those i love include a few many fans hate lol (5 and 6). However i'd still love to see your reaction to all, including my least favourites (A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge, Freddy vs Jason and the 2010 remake).
I would love to!
Saw the first 4 of these Nightmare films before I left school back in 92, great horrors in 70s/80s!
@Shree Nation if you want to know how all this was done watch Never Sleep Again it’s a documentary about the whole film series but only watch the first hour of it because it talks about the sequels after that!
Will do 😍
You should check out the original hellraiser
Will do :)
Your reaction is legen- wait for it - dary! I loved your reaction to this film lol
Fun fact you missed who played the teacher where Nancy was having nightmare in class it was Lin Shaye she was in so many movies including 2001 maniacs which also with Robert englund who played Freddy
You probably wouldn’t watch craven’s earlier works it’s more gory - The hill have eyes from 70s
Phantasm is interesting horror franchise that most people overlooked
Thank you so much ❤ I would love to watch more Wes Craven films!
Great reaction. My favourite quote from you 'you have balls, but no pants'. Whilst Halloween is my personal favourite movie of all time, i love this one too. I grew up in the 80's (i was actually born in 1980) when Freddy movies were mostly made, and first saw this aged 10 (admittedly i was 5 when i saw Halloween but, my mum thought this might be too scary for me for a few years).
Btw my mum was wrong, Halloween freaked me out more as a kid, and i loved it, along with Psycho, The Omen and dozens of of other classics i saw in the interim between 1985 and 1990 lol. I still love horror today especially slasher movies, but also love comedy and action films too.
Haha thanks :) And you have a great taste in horror movies!
The second film is not great but it is one of the scarier portrayals of Freddy before he started trying to be funny.
It's also known for its homoerotic subtext. The lead actor was gay and is considered the first male "scream queen".
Now I have to check out this film and its iconic male scream queen! ❤
Awesome vid as always. So the Grey streak was from fright. The big question is, was the whole thing Nancy's nightmare, which would be why ppl like the dad barely react. There are rabbit holes with this one.
Thank you :) Yes there are definitely many questions left unanswered.
It wasn't, the second movie and third confirm the events did happen with the things that happened to Glen and marge, especially Nancy's grey hair which reapers In 3
@Juanpablofanasito850 makes sence
My fav fun fact is called the night.are blue door. In the first movie and New Nightmare, the front door is blue. In 3 and the 2010 remake, Freddy and Nacy say "I'm real now," and "He's real." The teory is that there is a Freddy for diff groups. Thats why even though it would be big news, the groups in 4 n' 5 havent heard of Freddy, even though they def should've. Just fun facts and theories
I look forward to your reaction to the original Friday the 13th from 1980!
Will do :)
This is by far one of the GREATEST HORROR FLICKS EVER...Thank You for this Reaction...Looking forward to the rest of the series...
No problem :)
Probably already explained in comments, too lazy/busy to check. If you saw something weird happening to the characters within the "real life" (awake parts of the movie from the awake characters point of view) it means the one being violently attacked was dreaming about it.
The grey hair thing? Never seen it happen to anyone I know but in the movies yes, extreme shock can bring about premature grey/white hair
Thanks for the info :)
The wall panel when Freddy is over Nancy was replaced with spandex when they filmed this.
I remember when I watched this movie first. I was like 14 and I could not go to sleep
I feel you :( i wouldn't have slept either.
This movie series has an interesting symmetry. The first and final films resemble each other, in some sense. The second and penultimate movies are very standalone. Then, there’s a middle trilogy.
That’s actually a really good way to put it… never thought of it that way before.
Freddy scared me so much as a kid.
i love the end of the movie!
Same!
I was more of a fan of the Friday the 13th series as a teen, but I hadn't seen the Nightmare on Elm Street movies at the time and didn't until I was an adult. Most NoES films are better than the average F13 film, but both series have good movies and bad movies.
For NoES, the first is incredible and the 3 + 4 + 5 are each worth watching. NoES 2 is... not like the others; I don't honestly know if it's good or not, even though I've seen it multiple times. NoES 6 is awful and not worth watching. Wes Craven's New Nightmare is related and excellent.
For F13, the first is a classic slasher with a surprise or two, but all the movies from 1 to 7 are definitely worth watching except the one that relied too much on the 3D gimmick. (But even that one is essential if you're trying to keep up with the lore.) F13 8 is... skippable. 9 is just feckin' weird. Jason X (F13 10) is divisive because it goes full-on "Leprechaun In Space". Freddy vs Jason is okay but underwhelming. F13 4, 5, and 6 are sort of a mini-trilogy within the series, and those are my favorites of the F13 movies.
A sudden streak of grey hair seemed to be a common way to convey stress in female protagonists in 80's horror. Poltergeist does the same thing at one point (and it is VERY much worth watching).
Thank you. I can't wait to check out more Nightmare on Elm Street movies along with Friday the 13 and Poltergeist :)
Freddy is definitely the best slasher out of everybody in my opinion. Simply because he's not like everybody else and that's what make him the G.O.A.T.
He's creative with his kills, he has an interesting backstory, and he's entertaining, sadistic, funny, and scary all at the same time. So I really hope that you react to the rest of his films because it's worth it.
Lastly, to comment on the ending, it only turned out like that because they had some many different other endings and they didn't know where this movie was going as far as sequel. They didn't expect this movie to be popular than what it is, so the ending turned out like that to leave the possibility open to make a sequel. And they did, 6 sequels after this (7 if you count Freddy Vs. Jason). I still enjoyed the ending, other people kinda have mixed feelings about it.
Agreed!
The way Freddy grabbed the mother was so damn random lol!
You need to keep watching!! Let's go for part 2!!
Will do :)
No PLEASE skip part 2. It is atrocious. If you watch a sequel go right to 3.
yes i love 1 3 7 the nancy trilogy @@periechontology
Skip 2. I think that's the worst one. Watch the rest
So where would you rank this in your horror movie tier list?
I haven't made a list yet since I have so many movies left to watch, but this was definitely top tier ❤️
The long arms and the alleyway really freaked me as a kid, and yes I didn't sleep that night and worked myself up so much I vomited. I can watch it as an adult though. Great film apart from the last like 2 mins. Wish they'd take the concept of someone dreaming in a coma for Elm Street so they can't wake up or have to figure out how to wake up from their coma while Freddy stalks them.
Great concept! I hope they do it.
I'm loving your reactions. This is my favorite horror movie. Don't bother with the remake, and honestly don't bother with the sequels, they turned Freddy into a joke of himself. Maybe 3 and 4 just because how inaginative the nightmares become, but Freddy is just not the same. Please do react to Candyman (1992) or Hellraiser (1987), two iconic and really really good horror movies.
Thank you, will definitely check these 2 out😍
Interesting reactions, that was fun. Keep up the good work, if you need any suggestions I've seen TONS from every genre, just let me know what you're in the mood for. Probably have a few underrated oddities in mind.
Thank you :) I'd love some recommendations!
@@ShreeNation Alright then, what kind would you like to see next?
Hi there Shree👅😝. Enjoy the movie? Be careful what you dream of 😴😳😁. I was in Seattle and actually got to see the real Freddy glove among other great things . The reverse blood fountain was filmed almost in the same way her friend died. They filmed as the room would spin .
Whoa that's awesome! You're lucky to have met him😍
@@ShreeNation well , I didn't meet him. Although I did get to see the actual glove. I also the the actual axe from The Shining , the actual chainsaw from Texas Chainsaw Massacre , Jason's weapon & Michael Myers mask and weapon. That museum is full of movie items used in the actual movies . Plus actual instruments from rock stars 🎸
A genuinely brilliant horror movie by the master Wes Craven. You should watch 3,4 and New Nightmare. It's the perfect series of movies.
Can't wait :)
Love your commentary and reactions! Keep em coming.
Thank you so much :)
That bullet! Oh My!
Heres everything as it stands in The Nightmare on Elm Street franchise 8 movies that are original. With Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger one remake an Freddy versus Jason in wich Robert Englund recames his role as Freddy Krueger. Robert Englund does not play Freddy Krueger in the remake. Thats just the movies there was a short-lived TV series Freddy's nightmares. Whare Freddy Krueger was the host kinda like Tales from the Crypt. To answer your question Wes Craven was solely responsible for the creation of Freddy Krueger. Now congratulations you're the first RUclipsr that I seen react to this movie. Who immediately picked up on Freddy Krueger being a child predator. You are also the first one to understand his motive for going after their children. Instead of going after the ones that killed him directly. I think Freddy Krueger only killed her mom because she was sleeping and it allowed him access to the Dreamworld. Basically Nancy pulled him out but he got back into the dream world by her mother sleeping. In the audio commentary for the movie the set designer or something. Had to do something to make with Dreamworld different from The Real World. So they decided fog so if there was fog in the scene dream. No fog it was real world basically they did that so they would know when they. Whore filming if it was a dream scene or a real World scene. Fun and scary fact time actress that played Nancy said they made three gloves for Freddy Krueger. One with real metal and sharp blades for cutting. One with metal but dull blades for close up shots. Then a plastic bladed one for when hes interacting with others. The scary part comes in because she would have to ask what glove he had on at the time. Because they would forget it to change out the cutting glove. So she would have to ask before every scene with him. Because they would go oops we forgot to change out the glove we should do that now. Case in point the scene in the bathtub with the glove coming out of the water that was the sharp cutting glove. Yeas it was actually equipped with 4 razor sharp blades.
Oh thank god no one was hurt during the bathtub scene, that mix up of gloves sounds terrifying! Thank you for the info and I'm glad you enjoyed :)
@@ShreeNation The Brightside is that it was not a issue in any of the following movies. Because they no longer made a sharp cutting glove for any other movie. So it looks like they learned from this movie that. Making a fully functional Lethal Weapon glove was a bad idea. In the bonus features for the movie someone said everyone that held that glove or used it actually cut themself.
That was the best and most insightful reaction to this movie I've seen. This movie was an instant hit. You will love the 2nd and 3rd also. The 2nd has aged VERY well for certain reasons, which I won't go into until you watch it (yes. Has aged well). And the 3rd is many fan's favorite.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed :)
Wonderful choice
🥰
If you want more young Johnny he was in a movie called cry baby…you should watch it…disclaimer..you WILL swoon
Will do :)
There are not many movies I've made it a point to watch _just because_ I saw _reactors_ watching them. This is on the list, though.
14:49 anytime 😉
The ending was that mess because there was a disagreement between the movie company and Wes Craven. And the disagreement involved the ideas of sequels. The movie company wanted sequels, but Wes Craven didn't. So they put all the ending ideas in to this.
17:41 This much, I can tell you, is _not_ proper procedure in a jail. This guy's been arrested and they've locked him up and left him _alone?_ No watch?
23:08 See? _This_ would not be happening if he were sleeping under _watch._
Must be deemed proper procedure in nightmares, though. 😁
sometimes... if you stop and listen, and watch the movie and DON'T just keep talking and talking to fill the silence... the movie will answer your questions for you.

The actress playing Nancy asked if she could take that phone home with her after the shoot finished.
Haha I would've done the same🤣
@@ShreeNation 🤣 I wish I could heart this comment instead of giving a thumbs up. So you'll just have to do with an emoji instead. ♥
IMHO, The first three Nightmare movies are great. 4 - 6 are fine.
This is when I fell in love with Johnny
Every one else already said their facts for this movie. I seen it way too young but I didn't care. A little fear is healthy for ya. So with that being said...Looking good in the thumb nails pic 😋😛😜😉😈😈😈😈
Freddy is cool because he always gets away with it
This movie reminds me of Bourne Identity
Definately watch more Nightmare on Elmstereets and Orignal Friday 13th's then you might be ready for Freddy vs Jason, hich is my fave Horror/Splatter Slapstick.
Would love to :)
Welcome to one of the greatest franchises in horror movie history
I didn't like Nightmare 2 much. 3 and 4 are fun and then they decline from there until The New Nightmare which was pretty cool. F v J was amusing.
Youshould totally watch the og Friday the 13th. Be sure to avoid all spoilers.
Will do :)
Love.Robert England the best freddy Kruger. Ever. He kills it. Get it. Haha. I'm here all week. Lol
🤣
@@ShreeNation lol ! I thought you might like that one. ❤
13:06 - the news report mentioned Tina's age as 15. Now remember that sex scene earlier? Yikes
Ooooooooooooof
For a young Johnny Depp, check out the tv series, 21 Jump Street from Fox.
Can't wait!
IMHO part 2 was ok, 3 was good, New Nightmare was BRILLIANT, the other sequels and remakes were weak.
I love this movie
