I love to hear about your autism diagnosis journey Laura. My son was diagnosed 2 years ago (at age 8) and it has made a world of difference for him (and us) to know better how to help him when things are difficult. I really appreciate how honest you are with your mental health struggles as well 💕 Thank you! Merry Christmas 🎄
This is great Laura!! Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions! I am so grateful that you choose to get a knit editor early on, it's because of the quality of your patterns that keeps me coming back pattern after pattern. I trust that your patterns are written well and correct, I trust you as a knitwear designer and I am so thankful for that! ❤
I really enjoyed that Laura. Thank you for sharing. I hope you recognise in yourself what we do. You've come an amazing distance over the past year, hell, even through Vlogmas! I'm so happy to have found someone as authentic as you who so many of us can empathise with. ❤
E spinners are great as you can set yourself up comfortably without needing your feet to be on the spinning wheel foot paddles, so probably better for back issues! It’s so fun.
I went on a 2 week road trip to Banff Canada during the summer going into 3rd grade and it was one of the best childhood memories I have! Your family will surely love it ☺️ enjoying all of your vlogmas!
Yay so glad your results came back good, said a little prayer for you. I love a good hyperfocus song. Your talk about work got me all misty because how much would I love to call the things I love to do "work". I have yet to make any money doing the things I love (oil painting, knitting/designing, or even photography), so they feel worthless. I'm also an undiagnoised nuerodivergent and I struggle with traditional work and my mental health, so in some sense I'm trying to just make it work with what I love but also looking for more traditional work. It's an absolute mess. I love hearing you talk about your Grandma, my Grandma passed a few years go and as I get older I realize how much I'm like her. It would've been so amazing to share more of my adulthood with her, I imagine we'd spend lots of time drinking coffee and reading. Sorry this was so sappy.
Only had time to watch this now! I loved that you answered my question about your kids' names 😊 I was named after my greatgrandmother Siiri whom I've never met. But I turned out to be quite similar to her: she also had a cat and suuuuper long hair (like it went beyond her tailbone, just like mine does) AND she was a knitter ❤ she could also have a bit of a mean side to her, don't know about that 😅 once she put my aunt's stuffed toy in the oven and burned it because she thought it was too worn out 😬
Thank you Laura I loved it and yes it has been a real pleasure to listen! My favorite brioche shawl is the Porcelain Shawl by Raina K. I made it several times out of handspun. By the way while spinning I sit on a gymnastic ball so I can wiggle around which is good for my lower back. Much love and a wonderful Christmas Time to you and your family (patiently waiting for the eclair shawl ....:)
I loved when you talked about your patterns and I cannot wait for the blanket that will be matching the Stella cushion. I have been looking very closely for that one 💖😍
Ok, just to let you know the Canadian holiday you mentioned is not possible! We are a huge country with many distinct areas. The Maritimes, Quebec, Ontario, the Prairies, the west Coast and the far north. You can easily spend at least 2 weeks in each of those areas. If you try to do more than 1 area you will spend a lot of time driving. We have close relatives in England (we have visited several times - love it) but they are always amazed at how huge we are when they come here. Choose a focus is my best suggestion.
As soon as you said Canada, I held my breath, waiting for the word Toronto 🙈 swap out Toronto and go to Ottawa instead! Montreal and/or Quebec City also, tho they're much more European-esque. The Maritimes would make for a beautiful trip, and I also have to put in a plug for coming west and going to the Rocky Mountains! Everyone goes to Vancouver or Toronto, but there's so much more to see! Okay, off my soapbox now 😀

I just love the look of your Sweet Shop blanket. Hopefully I'll finish collecting the yarn I want to use and purchase the pattern soon.
small victories are still victories!!
Hi Laura ! It's been a real pleasure to listen to you throughout december, thanks a lot for these moments ! 😊 And Merry Christmas 🌲❄

Oh yeah we will probably just choose one area, or fly between 2! It’s a long way off though, still just a dream! X
Lovely lovely vlog x
Awesome hearing you talk about the kiddos names. My daughter’s name is Penelope (Penny) Rosalin. She’s also the same age as your Penny. 😊
There is also a Christmas version of nonsense (a nonsense Christmas)!
Hehe I know! I havnt listened to it yet though as I’ve been so busy, it will be a Christmas treat to myself 🤣🤣
Hi I'm new, loving your vlogs. I also hyperfocus on songs I will listen over and over again I also do it with some TV shows certain episodes.
I like the comment re not needing to give a reason. You also don't need to justify yourself.

Thank you for the tips! I’ll definitely be looking for suggestions when we finally make it to Canada! X
Misconstrued 😘
That’s the one 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@_laurapenrose_ you were so close 😃 x
