super helpful! I got a nicely straight-up potted cuttings 4 years ago and it has pushed out babies like crazy, all turned into this fan shaped ones, all with the edged leaves! I’ve since then lost a bit of interest in them and let them grow on their own course… now thank you for your super informative videos on this plant, I know better! I can’t wait to repot mine and see them all grown full and plump again!
So great to see you back on RUclips. You are looking like you have more energy so congratz an that. I had no idea that is what happened during propagation so thank you.
Thanks so much for that info. I have one I had bought at Lowe’s. And the pups are completely different like that. I just accepted it but I’m glad to know more about it!
Great thanks for explaining the specifics of this plant I love it and I want to find one. I have been checking my local shops and I saw one that was cuttings; and I wouldn’t have know that before watching your channel. I thought it was cute but I really prefer the fan shape so I’ll keep looking. I have other sansaveria plants but mine are so slow growing, honestly I wonder if they are growing at all...I don’t mind babies but I would like to see some growth. I have a very common snake plant and I keep watching that center leaf for growth and it just keeps staring back at me.
Now I'm really confused. I have a pot full of little vertical, very cylindrical fingers about 5-6" high. There are a couple of offsets, growing at an angle, but also with very cylindrical leaves. I've been combing through the literature, but this doesn't match anything I can find. I'm hoping the new growing season will shed some light on the situation. Till then, I'm sticking with S. cylindrica...
Hi, thanks for the video. Very helpfull. But I still wonder if I have a Bacularis or not. It looks exactly like your plant, but no cilinders. Just edged leaves. I have it for some years now and there were 3 or for in a pot. I split them up some months ago and now one of them has a flower! All of them have some kind of air root comming out of the soil. Growing very fast. That really looks like a snake! Could you say something about that? Thanks PS love the cats.😁
Hi I have a BACULARIS (the person who gave it to me did not tell me the exact name so just learned it today after watching several videos) I was wondering whether it is safe to propagate in 3-5inches cutting of the pup, like many people do with Sans CYLINDRICA types. Can BACULARIS also be cut in that way?

Can you tell us the difference between the two? I have a young sanseveria that looks like it could be either of these. Any help?
New leaves that don't start out with new leaves?
THANK YOU!
