sir, we can use the method as well I think. then there is no need of 3L wala concept.
70/L-70= L+20/L+L-20 (as both ratio same)
therefore,L=190
Using equations will always be available as last resort. But this way helps our mind to think freely.
for this method, we have to be conceptually very strong...I think Ravi sir method is easy to understand

Sir, I find first Question's solution confusion. I don't understand how exactly: d= 190?
If D then A=70m : If 3D then A=(3*70)m
but How A travels D+20 till M2?
and then you said A>>> D+20=210 , D=190
How if till M2 is 3D is travelled?
D is the total distance covered by a and b ..so when they first meet at M1 they cover distance d and when they meet at M2 they both have covered d distance each making the total distance covered d + 2d = 3d .. therefore A covers d=70 hence in 3d he will cover 210 m...now when he A and B combined cover distance 3d A will be at point Q completing the distance PQ i.e d and to meet B at M2 he will move 20m more hence PQ distance is d and additional distance is 20 there d + 20 = 210 and d = 190m

Sir in Salman and sarukh que how can we get that 6and 9 hrs is time after their meet or total time by a and b is 6hrs and 9 hrs respective to complete their journey

A with speed 30 takes 4 hrs to cover BC, hence BC =120km... so T required by sharukh to cover 120 km @ speed 20 kmph is 6 hrs...... 6 hrs is the individual times for both of them to reach C

sir in 1st 210is wrong it must be 140 as it is traced by A so my solution is (70+70)at 2 time intervals and deduction of 20 as they returned so 120, is this right?
so by this logic 3d means d + 2d and so d + 20 wud mean that d is 10??? a little confusing
it'll be 11, 21d = d +2d*10
