@@alexasunshine83 A tip for those who are worried about ironing: before I have a shower, I hang up the item of clothing at the end of the shower rod. The steam from the shower will smooth out some (and sometimes all!) of the wrinkles and it's all ready to wear. This has saved me so many times!
i went thrifting yesterday and i’m happy to say i had one of my best hauls ever!! a lot of midi skirts and (my absolute favorite items) a white puff sleeve top and A CORDUROY BLAZER 😍
This may sound weird, but I'm a bit jealous at how cute you look with all your shirts tucked in. I always want to tuck in my longer t-shirt and tops, but feel like I look like a mushroom when I do. Lol. Also, I absolutely adore the floral cardigan from Plato's Closet and the pink cat sweater.
Ahhhhh I’m sure you literally look amazing Rebecca!!! The funny part is I feel like if I don’t tuck things in I look weird, like I almost have the opposite problem!
OMG that Talbot's cardigan is a one of a kind gem! I started looking for it right now, after seeing you wear it, and there are none! You literally have a one of a kind, and it is perfect! 👌
As someone who is deeeeep into the cottagecore style (mentally, I love it) my favourite pieces were the little floral top with puff sleeves and the white dress at the end! So cute!
if ironing makes you nervous (it definitely makes me nervous when I'm ironing anything that's not cotton) I recommend a steamer! it's also good for cleaning dry clean only items like wool suits (edit: I see lots of other people recommended a steamer too so I'll just second the recommendation!)
If you thrift, you NEED a steamer! Best way to disinfect a garment, helps with that 'grandma' smell AND gets rid of wrinkles. Harder to set the house on fire too. Ironing also ups your sewing game
Girl, sometimes your videos are hard to watch because I’m absolutely SEETHING with jealousy. I can tell this one is just from the thumbnail! Great finds!
I’m really enjoying the style journey you’re on. I find myself loving more and more of the pieces you have been finding. Love it when I get inspiration from my favourite RUclipsrs. 🥰
Totally get the thing about wearing your “comfort” outfit when you’re anxious. I’ve also noticed for me that materials and textures of clothes can exacerbate my anxiety (like itchy materials, tags, etc.)
I eventually made it to the end of this OUTSTANDING video (after looking up and trying to find several of the items!) and hahaha❣️ I recognize that gorgeous lavender warm Penny Lane-style coat with the Mongolian furry trim because I thrifted the EXACT same coat and yes I live in Florida and will be ready to rock it when I’m somewhere cold again someday..I can def relate to your Southern California dilemma of loving cold weather clothes while living in a hot climate❣️🙂
You spent FIFTY BUCKS on an old JONAS BROTHERS T-SHIRT?! Okay now that’s out of the way. Love the video. You have such cute and unique style. I would say my reaction was about half “oh my gosh nooo” and “oh my gosh soooo cute”. The puff sleeve too is SO cute. You rock everything obviously! I’ve taken some inspiration from your style as I’ve started to build up my new more grown up wardrobe. Bought a couple of pieces from Ana Luisa and so far I love them. Already got compliments. Thanks for being a ray of sunshine in my day 🥰☀️
Aaaah this video was so wholesome ☺️. You seemed genuinely excited with every single piece. My personal favourites: your shy 15-year-old-me smile when you wore the Jonas Brothers t-shirt (how cute was that? 🙈), the blue Disneyland sweatshirt that brought out the colour of your eyes (stunning!), and the hand-knit floral sweater because it somehow looked pretty, dandy, and elaborate at the same time 😍.
I LOVE that the floral on the cardigan continues at the back! there are so many times where Ive thrifted cute patterend vintage stuff but the patterns dont continut to the back!!
Cool cats and kittens has been a phrase for a long time I’m pretty sure, I remember that John Lennon said it in the Get Back sessions that came out last year!
Okay YES i loooooved this long thrift haul style video💜💜💜🥰. Sooo many good finds!! Literally my whole winter wardrobe is now from Plato's Closet ( can't wait to Thrift my spring/summer too). They have soooo many cute pastel pieces!! And GIRL that pastel purple faux fur coat is a DREAM 💜. Like i need that in my life 😍. Loved this video!! Can't wait till the next one!! 💗🥰
Great haul..what I really love is that you aren't wanting to wear designer outfits..and proudly admit most of your clothes were less than $10.00..everything you got is mix & match.. ❤
The color block blazer & the teddy bear skirt are my favorites. I hate ironing & so I bought a hand held steamer. Its light weight and you can press your clothing in less time. Come to NYC its 16 degrees today. I've used Mercari few times & I've had good experiences. Use a shoe stretcher for the boots
i feel your pain about prices lol. but small businesses are definitely still struggling, so it's nice to know that your money is going to a good cause. and it's def worth it to me for more unique hard to find pieces that you otherwise might never come across in person, like that JB shirt!
I really recommend a steamer! I know it’s already been said but I agree completely! They are so handy and quicker than ironing for me / they make my clothes feel fresh and cleaner. Especially if you already have clothing racks to hang and steam on.
Girl, you’ve gotta invest in a second measuring tape to keep in the glove compartment of your car. That way, you always have it and don’t have to worry about forgetting it! ☺️ Absolutely love your videos!
I love the bear skirt! I just love that! Also I know that I stayed so far away from platform boots but now I think I should get some all because of you 😆
So many gorgeous pieces. Wow! I would get a steam iron. It works for all fabric types and you don't have to worry about accidentally burning your clothes or leaving behind shiny iron marks. Much kinder to clothes.
I use a mini hand steamer from Amazon or Bed Bath & Beyond instead of an iron to get wrinkles out of my clothes! It's so much faster and more convenient, would recommend :)
LOVE the embroidered cardigan, tink and both mickey crewnecks, and those (blue and black) jeans U worn when trying on tees (what brand is it), floral slip dress love the black chunky cardigan, winnie and eeyore top, teddy bear skirt is so cute, black slip, love the print and colors of pink skirt, love that pink color of that button up, how fun is that color block blazer, so cute in that pale mint dress, that purple coat is such fun I just got lace gloves too bc they were just too pretty to leave behind
On the point of ironing, I hate ironing too! It scares me! I switched to a steamer and I’ll never go back, so much easier and I’ve never damaged clothes with it
The multocolor pastel blazer is the coolest! For the boots, if they’re leather, you can use some shoe stretching spray and wear them around the house with thick socks to loosen and adapt them.
Just wanted to drop in here been watching for a long time love ya girl love the videos, you were the first thrifter I started watching you got me hooked on thrifting myself so thanx my over loaded closet thanx you lol 😆
By the way you can wash 100% silk on low setting cold water, air dry low on delicate. I wash my pajamas and silk and cashmere this way frequently and nothing bad happens to it. I am guessing most of these cheap thrifted clothes are polyester, which is plastic, which is why you will be extra sweaty in it like in the H&M top.
oh, some of these items... my heart! they are everything!! and look so good on you and make sense. lots can be styled many ways...yea I love everything. I didn't realize how long this way until your comment at the end, haha.
Try a steamer instead of an iron, it’s typically easy to find small person steamers at the thrift store too, that’s where I found mine. It’s way easier than fussing with an iron/ ironing board
Fire video. You seem so exited to show us and that feeling is everything. I loved coming home from shopping and doing a fashion show for my dad haha. Same energy. Love you 💕
I love to thrift one of my best finds is a pair of doc martens which has a platform. So the were size 10 fit me perfectly because they run large so I got lucky.. thanks for the upload enjoyed it
Ughhh Alexa that floral slip dress was soooo gorgeous 😍 also I feel like I’ve found my style the past year or so and that’s pretty much all due to watching your videos :)
In regards to getting an iron, I would 100% recommend getting a steamer! They are super easy to use and much better for the integrity of your clothes and they get the wrinkles out amazingly well😊 They are also pretty affordable!
When you said you wanted to wear that green dress with pastel pink tights I automatically thought of ballet tights 😂 Honestly my ballet tights are one of my favorite things ever, they are actually really pretty and surprisingly comfy 😅
You can wash silk unless the washing instructions explicitly tell you not to wash it. I have a silk pillowcase and my washing machine has a silk setting. I have washed it countless times without issues. If your machine doesn't have a silk setting, you can try the wool/hand wash setting or just wash it by hand. Just use the right detergent specifically for silk, not regular detergent or soap. Don't put it in the dryer and don't hang it to dry in direct sunlight or the colours will fade. Usually when silk items say "do not wash" it's because it's painted or has other fragile decorations.
Your videos always remind me of Ashley somehow😂the teddy bear skirt and i noticed the heart choker from enroute jwellery😍i loved that soo much but could not get it in my country 😭
This really was an increadible thrift haul! I just have to say - your style is so inspiring. Since I started making my own clothes I got into a habit of screenshoting the clothes that I'd love to make AND wear. So I had to save TOO MANY pieces from this video because they resonated to me so much! 🙈😅
Grab a snack, a coffee, a tea, or a water because holy moly it's a long one 🙆🏼♀
I got my waffles!
Dirty chai made and ready to watch!
Watching while eating my lunch after work! Perfect way to wind down ❤️
Video idea. Go to create a sim and randomize their outfits and then go thrift for them items!
Where is your sweater from? I love that yellow on you
That floral slip dress made me physically GASP that's the most beautiful pattern I've ever seen 😍
I’m still shooooooocked I found it randomly at the thrift store !!
@@alexasunshine83 A tip for those who are worried about ironing: before I have a shower, I hang up the item of clothing at the end of the shower rod. The steam from the shower will smooth out some (and sometimes all!) of the wrinkles and it's all ready to wear. This has saved me so many times!
Tip for drying sweaters after handwashing: lay it flat on a towel, and then roll the towel up. It'll dry wayyy faster

girl same! I always feel like I untuck my tops too much or something. Gotta find the perfect ratio of tucked to untucked
OMG that Talbot's cardigan is a one of a kind gem! I started looking for it right now, after seeing you wear it, and there are none! You literally have a one of a kind, and it is perfect! 👌
Well boo! I was going to try to track it down myself after I finished the video!
I found a few on Poshmark but they are closer to $60 :/

They were selling that cool cats and kittens shirt at Walmart when tiger first came out hahah I love it . It’s super cute
I remember that too lol 😂 😂
Lol yes I bought one and love it
The ted bear skirt 😍
Love the longer videos!!! So excited to get nearly 30 minutes of thrift finds 🥰
So happy you’re excited!!!! I was scared nobody would watch because it’s so long 🥵
@@alexasunshine83 I love your longer videos!! I love getting to see your style evolve:)
the pink skirt is soooo cute!!
