Knee injuries hurt Hunter. Hawks don't have their picks so they can't trade Trae. I think getting rid of Saddiq bey and more size on the wing will help them. Daniels ZR and Jalen have really solid defensive potential on the wing

If mark williams can overcome this foot injury (unfortunately I don’t know) the hornets are a team I like a lot. This team has a competent 10 man roster and I still think lamelo’s ceiling is up there with the icons of the league

I gotta say, it can't be ignored that the Hornets have actually filled their rotation with real basketball players in the last several months... for most of last season guys like theo maledon, jt thor, bryce mcgowens, nathan mensah, and leaky!!! black, were getting real minutes and they are now replaced with tre mann, grant williams, josh green, vasa micic, and seth curry. Not game changing but the baseline level of basketball should be a bit higher + better health and bmill 2nd year leap... but its actually impossible to be optimistic as a Hornets fan.

Tbh a bit surprised at your guys opinion of the Hawks. The main thing would be the expectations for Risacher’s rookie year. I don’t think anyone should expect him to have crazy numbers like 18+ PPG, but he’s not really being asked to do that rn. A successful season for him would be around 12 PPG on 37-38% 3 point shooting with solid defense. Even getting that would already be a massive improvement to what Bey provided the last few years.
I do think some hawks fans may be putting too much on Dyson Daniels shoulders, but at the same time, he’s pretty easily the best guard defender that has played next to Trae. If he can hit open 3s at a decent enough clip (around league average), that’s again a massive upgrade for the hawks defense.
I agree the Hawks need to start OO and move on from CC. Hunter should come off the bench this year as well considering he was much better doing that last year than as a starter.

I don't expect none of these pundits to give the Hawks a fair shake. I happen to b e excited about this Hawks team, especially if this coaching staff can develop young players. The good part about this season is Trae Young will have a lot of pressure on him as well it should be. I believe the Hawks split with the Magic last season. The problem with the Hawks last season was injuries and an inability to beat teams that were worse off than they were Charlotte.

If the Heat can be 14 to 17th in offense rating the Heat will be a problem.

What do you think the Hawks could have got for the #1 pick? Seems like in a down year they had no leverage to get an impactful player, especially with Sarr publicly refusing to play for them.

So glad Sarr didn't wasn't to play in Atlanta. Zac will eventually be the better player.

Orlando magic made a lateral move. Kcp won’t be impactful as he was with nuggets. They need a creator at the gaurd

@@jantz01 I’m looking at this from an advancing as in playoff lens. He obviously helps but doesn’t make them any better than a 1rst round exit. They need playmaking+ shooting from gaurd position. There offense was terrible
