  • In this video I describe how you can save over $10,000 after tax and interest by avoiding the Max Pack option for Rivian’s by making up for more than that range when doing long camping trips. If you plan on buying or camping with a Rivian, this is a video you must see.
Similar results that I have experienced on my #rivian should be expected from an #f150lightning #tesla #Cybertruck #hummerev and other electric vehicles.

Hey thanks for the video. So i do have a delta 2 unit, and I have done camping in my rivian with and without the ecoflow and I can also confirmed there is a high drainage when using the outlets on feature. I didn't measure it, but it was so much it was noticeable. Good you did this videa so now I would bring it with me. I also run a small fridge so very similar situation than yours. Thanks

Yeah I was pretty shocked at how much it used. Glad to hear the video helped verify what you also experienced!

I had the same results when I tested it. I quickly came to the same decision and got a Bluetti to power the fridge and my electric blanket. If it gets low, I can charge it up quickly from the vehicle. I hope Rivian offers a 12v only mode that runs straight from the 12v battery.

Same page. I’ve noticed the 12v under my dash seems to always be on, but I’ve also seen a fair amount of 12v dying horror stories where I’ll probably avoid that for now too.

Thanks for the video. Watched as recommended by you on Twitter. I like this option, way more affordable than others like Jackery / Anker. Quick question, with that small battery pack and solar panels, in case you needed to charge some, how much energy would you gain? Have you tested? I knot it would be little and and very slow, but curious about actual numbers.

The solar I have will refill in a day, but you can also refill off the truck in ~45 minutes and take just over a mile of range. That’s really the kicker, it’s the fact that keeping the inverter (outlets) on the truck on for so long absolutely kills the battery because the truck stays awake and won’t sleep. By shortening the time it’s awake and quickly transferring power to the power bank you can avoid all that.
Honestly I wouldn’t bother with the solar.
