Duuuuude I have the same car with HTRAC and I’ve been trying to find something like this set up for so long. Great work and looking forward to new videos of your mods!
Epic and amazing sound. I'm about to replace the rear mufflers with Paradox mufflers on my 2015 3.8 since I want a bit more growl but everything I've read about Paradox mufflers in forums says their design minimizes eardrum killing drone while producing a nice engine note during spirited driving. My previous vehicle was a 2008 Honda Civic Si with the Berk HFC + Invidia Q300 exhaust. Sounded great for a 4 banger but the exhaust drone was a bit ridiculous at times. Fingers crossed the Paradox mufflers are as nice as the mini-reviews I've seen in various forums from the people who installed them on their vehicles and they were pretty pleased with the results.
Thanks man! Next video will be another Dragy-meter run to see if the rear section of my exhaust with the AEM Cold Air Intake made a small difference. Will keep you posted. Click on my channel to see previous videos.
@@beeswaxx3.8 Awesome! I was curious if there was any noticeable difference with that intake, i'm sure the sound is sweet. For now I just picked up the K&N drop-in filter
@@KuleTube if you're still running the stock exhaust system, the K&N drop-in filter is perfect! The AEM Cold Air Intake will be an overkill. One thing you can do though, is remove the small but strong magnet from the round flapper door inside the bottom of the air box, so it opens easier on lower RPM, for a little more (but not much) throttle response off the line. There are 2 magnets, 1 on flapper door and 1 on short tube that holds the flapper. You can pop out either one with a flat sharp object.
@@KuleTube The greater fuel consumption mostly comes from us having the tendency of flooring it more often, after any modifications, particularly in sport mode 😆
Hey Bees Waxx ) amazing sound! Congrats on getting it right! you inspired me to experiment with the exhaust on 2018 G80 Sport. Couple of questions: 1) how does it sound on the lower RPM, especially when you drive in eco mode in and around 1500 - 2000 RPM? 2) did you do ECU tune after the cat delete and intake install? 3) any noticeable change in power? Thank you in advance for your advise. Cheers!

Would love to hear a V6tt or V8 with exact same setup as mine..or even with just those Vibrants at the back! Cheers!
Very nice setup. I’m looking to get one of these or the Q50, and after searching for mods to do on this car (and specifically the 3.8), I’m really leaning towards the Genesis more than the Q now. I’m surprised there’s not a lot of aftermarket support for these considering this is the same engine as the Gen Coupes, no chance of using some parts on the coupe on this car? Also, is there a risk of voiding the warranty?
Hey thanks! I like the Q50s, but they're everywhere. Wanted something different for a daily and got this 3.8 Genesis. Yeah there's not much support in aftermarket parts like the coupe. Don't know if performance parts are interchangeable from the coupe and you don't really see people doing them.

I’ve only had it for a little over a year but I cut the mufflers off and did a resonator delete and it sounds good, any advice or info on some stuff would be appreciated!

Thanks bro! Are you talking about the lower rear bumper cover @4:26 ? If so, it is a one piece and doesn't hold the tips that I have. My tips are aftermarket and are welded directly to the exhaust with stainless hangers at the original location where the oem mufflers connect. I have cut off that section with the 2 holes on each side to fit the tips that I got. Those 2 holes are for the decorative (fake) oem tips to fit into the holes and be bolted behind the trim. The lower rear bumper cover is #86612-B1100 for the 5.0 V8. But you will need to purchase the left & right side decorative tip pieces separately, if you're looking for oem look. Thoes oem tip part numbers are 86662-B1100 (right side) and 86661-B1100 (left side) for the 5.0 V8.
@@beeswaxx3.8 got it, thanks! So I have a bunch of questions. I already have the cold air intake and the resonated x pipe is being installed tomorrow, where is it exactly that you have the bullet resonator installed? Is it before or behind the cats? I kinda don't wanna mess with anything in front because it'll void the warranty so I was maybe thinking of placing it behind the x pipe somewhere. Is there any drone with this setup? Lastly, do I need the custom mandrel flex pipes to achieve this sound or were they more for a cleaner look?
@@Dettplp21 do you have the V6 or V8?..cause even with my exact setup, it will sound a little different on the V8. The oem dual exhaust pipes of the whole exhaust system is 2" for the V6 and 2.25" for the V8. Usually, people upgrade to 2.25" pipes on the V6 (like I did) and 2.5" on V8's, for extra flow. My setup is now 2.25" after the front oem downpipes all the way back to the tips. The custom mandrel pipes you'll need if you go with bigger piping or have a professional shop custom bend some for you. I chose the mandrel pipe kit cause it is polished T304 stainless steel, economical and easier for a shop to install, do to most of the bends are there and flanged on one side, which will save you $ on install time instead of shop doing them, plus they will charge extra if they use their own s/s piping. I have also deleted the 2 lower after cats (see @4:02) and replaced them with the 2 bullet resonators @4:14 . You won't need the bullets if you're keeping those cats! I'm in Illinois and I just passed emissions without those 2 cats! If you already have the cold air intake, you will definitely benefit with .25" bigger piping, they work good together! I get no drone at all with my setup. My car sounds even better up close and inside the cabin, I get lots of compliments. Let me know how yours turns out, Good luck!
@@beeswaxx3.8 honestly I couldn't even imagine it sounding any better than that, sounds like a Nissan GT-R to me! I also have the V6 and I've been toying around with different mufflers and deletes for the LONGEST TIME trying to replicate the sound you got. But that's good news because I still have the cats intact. I actually just ordered the ultra quiet resonators about an hour ago so I think I'm good to go!! I'm so glad I finally came across the ideal V6 setup, can't wait to get the work done! So do you think with the cats still in I'll still be able to achieve this sound?
@@Dettplp21 I believe so! It sounds like you'll have the same setup (Megnaflow Tru-X center muffler/resonator with the Vibrant UQ resonators). Keeping your cats will muffle some unwanted noise or drone, so you won't be needing the bullets. Later, you can always change the rear lower panel to the 5.0's and add tips. Or, you can keep the V6 lower panel and pop-out the decorative oem tips to feed and weld smaller dual oval aftermarket tips to personalize the sound even more. That was my original plan, but decided to go with the 5.0 lower panel and wider tips. Are you a member at the Genesisowners forum? I'll be doing a complete thread of my exhaust setup with lots of photos and the option of keeping the oem V6 lower panel and installing the not-as-wide dual oval tips that I mentioned.
Recently purchased a 2015 3.8 and have been wanting to install the V8 exhaust tips like you've done. How hard was the install and where could I find them?
The tips I used are AMG tips from ebay. They are wide, so you'll need to purchase the 5.0 lower rear panel/diffuser shown at 4:25 in video. Then you'll need to cut off the round holes so the tips go through the panel. www.ebay.com/itm/403677476827?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=mpo1zdglqx2&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=sT7ejUwyRX6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Or.. you can use these narrower tips and keep your original lower panel without cutting it. You'll need to unattach the original metal exhaust tips tho, so the new ones feed through. A good muffler shop can install these nice and even through the holes for any tips you'll use. www.ebay.com/itm/263563495737?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=Ytj5xlttSrq&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=sT7ejUwyRX6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Yes, of course it can work for your car if you have the sedan with dual exhaust. All the exhaust pieces are universal! You just need to find a professional muffler shop in your area, show them this video so they get an idea of what it looks like underneath and they'll guide you through. You can order the parts yourself or have them order everything for you. I believe this setup can also work on the Genesis Coupe, the Genesis/G80 Sedan 3.8/5.0 and many other vehicles; only the piping/tubing might need to be bent a little different. If so, the shop will know what to do! Good luck!!
Bro are the links to the v8 quad tips correct? because I clicked the link and it says exhaust duck, I thought that was only for the v6? Or are they just showing incorrect name and picture?
Yeah you're right!..the pictures are misleading, but that's how Hyundai catalog calls these pieces "exhaust ducks". All the links and part #s are correct for the V8! If you scroll down after you open each link it shows "Vehicle Fitment" for 5.0! There is a better diagram for the V8 on my Instagram photos if you want to check out.. instagram.com/bees_waxx_3.8
@@beeswaxx3.8 Oh I see... so basically if I order all the parts from the links it’ll be the quad tips correct? Basically all I want is the same set up as you.
@@Flying_Indigo Yes, the links are correct for the quad tips! You can always cross-reference the part numbers yourself with another Hyundai OEM Parts site to confirm. My setup is without the oem quad tips. I got aftermarket s/s ones that are welded after the mufflers, like the video shows. The links for the V8 are to help if anybody wants to go the full oem route for the V6 . I only got the V8s rear lower panel which I custom cut myself around the holes to feed the aftermarket quad tips.
wow man your genny sounds amazing do you have a IG page or anything i been thinking of an exhaust setup too your car sounds insane...do you have a video from inside the car on how it sounds when driving with the window down and windows up?

All you have to find is a professional muffler shop to do the rest. As of now, the only video I have with interior sound is the one with the Dragy, before I had finished the rear exhaust section.
your post about NOTE 2: The 2 resonator Bullets will not be needed if your two OEM secondary cats are still intact! if my car is all stock for exhaust right now i dont need to do the resonator bullets then right?....im literally new at all this exhaust stuff
@@ramandepbhuller8780 Correct! you won't be needing the Bullets. The original exhaust system on the V6 is 2" diameter piping. I have upgraded my whole system to 2.25" now with the new exhaust. I recommend that you first decide if you want to stay with the stock 2" system or upgrade to 2.25", so all mufflers and resonators you buy, can match the piping. If your planning to keep the secondary cats, I would first start with the rear exhaust section by replacing the original mufflers with the Vibrant UQ resonators. Doing that alone, will give you a better sound. See how that goes, and then you can do the mid section by replacing the original mid muffler/resonator with the MagnaFlow tru-X muffler.
@@beeswaxx3.8 sorry man im a bit confused like if i legit just wanna do a copy of yours because its sounds great do i just tell the shop to do all this? • Custom OEM 5.0 V8 Rear Lower Panel (#86612-B1100) • Megnaflow Tru-X mid Muffler/Resonator (#11385) • Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonators/Mufflers (#1140) • Stainless Staggered Quad Exhaust Tips • Stainless 2.25" Exhaust Tubing • OEM Secondary Cats Deleted • OEM Mid Resonator Deleted • OEM Mufflers Deleted also is there no way I can have quad tips on the exhaust like you did without changing the rear lower panel? thanks again for all the advice
How much of a pain in the ass was the process of installing those staggered wheels? Did the rear ones have any dilemmas for installation? Looks really good and unique to be honest
Thanks! The front and rear wheels fit nicely under there with no issues! ..you just need to have the proper offsets for the wheels, and with a right size tire you should have no problem. Check the description of this video to see the offsets I'm using for these wheels.

I personally love the 20s the car even handles a little better without sacrificing much of the rid. My oem wheels are 18" compared to your 19s, so you'll sacrifice even less. 20x9 w/ 20x10.5 wheels are perfect fit for these cars. Try to have the offsets between 30-35 in front and 40-45 for rear if you go with same size tires as mine.
@@beeswaxx3.8 that's whats up bro! Thanks for the advice on that. I think those tire sizes will bring out the aggressive look while still keeping the luxury appeal
No, not at all! The secondery cats do not have o2 sensors or any other wiring connected to them to trigger the check engine light. They are only there to filter more exhaust gasses and be restrictive lol
They are custom made pieces I got from ebay. One is routed through the front lower bumper and one underneath the front under-panel. Or you can get the Velossa snorkels for the 5.0 and make them fit. Either way it'll require some fabrications if you have a radiator shroud. You can find photos of my setup on my IG account @bees_waxx_3.8

You can order the parts yourself or have them order everything for you. I believe this setup can also work on the Genesis Coupe, the Genesis/G80 Sedan 3.8/5.0 and many other vehicles; only the piping/tubing might need to be bent a little different. If so, the shop will know what to do! Good luck!!
Ugh thank u so much for these comments i just got a 2017 g80 3.8 im wanna start workin on my ride 😏😏😏😏😏
@@destinygallegos6015 ..you will fall in love with this car! It gets a lot of attention 😉
My dad has this car but it's a 2015 Hyundai Genesis G80 V8 SRT 5.0
Your dad has nice taste in cars! Which model is the Genesis G80 SRT?
@@beeswaxx3.8 2015 Hyundai Genesis G80 V8 5.0
Hey thank you man! No IG page yet, but I'll work on one.. Everything that I've done to my exhaust is listed in this video!..parts and all! All you have to find is a professional muffler shop to do the rest. As of now, the only video I have with interior sound is the one with the Dragy, before I had finished the rear exhaust section.
@@beeswaxx3.8 alright kool i think imma copy your setup lol ...love the sound make sure you upload more lol
your post about
NOTE 2: The 2 resonator Bullets will not be needed if your two OEM secondary cats are still intact!
if my car is all stock for exhaust right now i dont need to do the resonator bullets then right?....im literally new at all this exhaust stuff
• Custom OEM 5.0 V8 Rear Lower Panel (#86612-B1100)
• Megnaflow Tru-X mid Muffler/Resonator (#11385)
• Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonators/Mufflers (#1140)
• Stainless Staggered Quad Exhaust Tips
• Stainless 2.25" Exhaust Tubing
• OEM Secondary Cats Deleted
• OEM Mid Resonator Deleted
• OEM Mufflers Deleted
also is there no way I can have quad tips on the exhaust like you did without changing the rear lower panel?
thanks again for all the advice
I think im about to pull the trigger on one of these...
Try to find a 16'+ model they worked out some bugs from 15's but either way you'll love it!
@@beeswaxx3.8 Im actually going to test drive a 2016 3.8 today! so excited
What size rims and tires do you have on your car?
Front: 20x9 with 255/35/20 tires
Rear: 20x10.5 with 295/30/20 tires
How much of a pain in the ass was the process of installing those staggered wheels? Did the rear ones have any dilemmas for installation?
Looks really good and unique to be honest
Thanks! The front and rear wheels fit nicely under there with no issues! ..you just need to have the proper offsets for the wheels, and with a right size tire you should have no problem. Check the description of this video to see the offsets I'm using for these wheels.
Thanks!
Hey I kno this is a older post but wanted to ask how the 255 front and 295 rear setup rides for u? I have the 5.0 and going to change to the 20 and have been interested in a wider setup. Stock its 245F / 275R
@@beeswaxx3.8 I'll be ordering them by the end of the week and I'll shoot u a pic once they come in and get installed
So I don’t have to buy the whole bumper for the quadruple tips ?
No, not the whole bumper just the lower black panel as you saw in the vid @ 4:25

any check engine lights with deleting the 2nd set of cats?
No, not at all! The secondery cats do not have o2 sensors or any other wiring connected to them to trigger the check engine light. They are only there to filter more exhaust gasses and be restrictive lol
@@beeswaxx3.8 thanks
Anyways I could get in contact with you? My secondary cat is going out and id like to do this setup!

Is there a front wheel drive to the Genesis.
I believe all Genesis platforms are designed as RWD vehicles. They offer a AWD (HTRAC) transfer case as an option. But not just FWD.
Thank you.
Cool
Is this the 3.3T or the 3.8? I know it’s not the 5.0 which is why I didn’t ask!
It's the 3.8
All these exhaust pieces are universal n can be fabricated to fit all G-DH models
where did u get the ram air ducts?
They are custom made pieces I got from ebay. One is routed through the front lower bumper and one underneath the front under-panel. Or you can get the Velossa snorkels for the 5.0 and make them fit. Either way it'll require some fabrications if you have a radiator shroud. You can find photos of my setup on my IG account @bees_waxx_3.8
@@beeswaxx3.8 thanks a lot man!!!
thats so weird how theres zero sound when hes not revving it
