A remix of 'Lullaby for Mergo' from Bloodborne. The idea was to take the simple music box theme and turn it into a full orchestral track like the other Bloodborne boss themes. I had this idea pretty much since Bloodborne came out but I just never got to it for some reason. At this point I'm a lot more comfortable writing in a Bloodborne style so I think it was the right time. It's a bit early but this was going to be for Halloween, so Happy Halloween and enjoy the song!

I showed this to my husband and told him that this was the boss theme for a cut Mergo fight, and he believed me until I told him - after he was finished listening - that you'd composed it. He was extremely impressed, and so am I! Well done!

I really like the Lullaby for Mergo it always gave me goosebumps. Imagine you hear the original on the elevator to the boss and after the cutscene is over this remix starts to play... That would be really epic. Someone should do a video like this :O

Imagine if this was a 3 phases boss. The 1st phase uses the normal song, 2nd phase transitions to orchestra, and 3rd phase intensifies and adds latin choirs.

@@ihatezoophiles2980Bit late here but I don’t think the Moon Presence wanted to kill Mergo for fear of his power. The Bloodborne artbook pretty much confirms that Oedon is the Presence, and we know Mergo is Oedon’s son. Mergo is trapped in his own nightmare, kept from his mother by a being that I like to assume is mergo’s projection, similarly to how orphan had a physical creature guarding his soul. Great Ones are stated to be sympathetic in nature, so why would Oedon want to kill his son? I think his intention was a mercy kill, for the good of Mergo and also the human race since the ritual around Mergo is likely the cause of the beast plague.

Would've been nice if the second half of the Wet Nurse boss fight sounded something like this. Kind of like how Father Gascoigne's music gets more intense after he transforms.

Would of been cool, in my opinion, to have this theme as the main theme then go into the music box version whoever she uses the darkness.
I think it would've fit better for a different boss rather than a part of Mergo's, it's boss theme just being the music box gave the fight such a fantastsic atmosphere

Hey guys! This is my Halloween remix for y'all and Bloodborne couldn't be more appropriate. I've arranged the music box song 'Lullaby for Mergo' into a big Bloodborne orchestral track. Hope you guys enjoy it! Also I wanted to say that I'm planning on making a Dark Souls inspired album soon (like Borne in Blood) I hope by Christmas time, will probably release more on that towards the end of November.

If there was ever going to be a Bloodborne 2, the final boss should be the Paleblood Hunter, aka your character from the first game. In the second phase they should then transform into an old one similar to the Moonlight Presence, and this music should play.

A 2nd game with the Hunter from the original game being a NPC or Enemy sounds awesome.
I hope one day Bloodborne 2 becomes a reality.
@@claudevalentine8657 Oh, and unrealistically, maybe whether the hunter is an NPC or Enemy is based off of one of the three endings. That would be cool, but I feel like a lot of work to implement.

This is one of the most haunting and beautiful things I've ever heard. Thank you for this, because it is now the soundtrack for my player's next boss fight in D&D

To me bloodborne holds a special place in my heart. It was its whimsical horror around every turn that brought me out of my sadness and made me face fears I didnt know I had. This needs to be a tv series for real.
This is the song that played when Mensis conducted their ritual to summon Mergo.

I like to think that this theme is also something the player character would hear when you found out all the truth behind the happenings of the bloodborne game and why everything went to hell.
So this came up in an Opera Gx mod themed around BB as the bg music, right after Ludwig the holy blade finished playing... holy shit did it caught me off-guard, i thought i was listening to an official cut content boss theme. You're one hell of a composser.
For true eldritch horror, try it at 0.75 spd, it's a totally different experience, provided ya can put up with some static sounds..

This should have played during phase 2 the mergo's wetnurse fight. The novelty of silent music box wears off quickly.

Mergo, the Unseen Nightmare
Just like his Wet Nurse, Mergo takes on a dark colored shawl which it uses to cover itself. With it, it takes on a humanoid appearance with four arms, like the perfect idea of man, the Peruvian Man (Rip name)
Every attack from the boss inflicts Frenzy, but takes a bit more damage from Arcane.

I'd assume Mergo is like if Jesus had the same body as the Peruvian Man, but you can't see it because he's invisible. At least, to us.
Because it symbolizes how he's essentially Humanity at it's prime. The perfect man. The end goal of Laurence and Willem.
And while his role is pretty miniscule and lore is even more, I think Mergo can be a good boss. Just like the Son of Kos.

This remix always reminds me of Marta from Outlast 2, she fits so perfectly into Bloodborne's universe, and could be an awesome boss and that would be her theme
nah like the original is so, ominously empty, that it fits perfectly with the tone and atmosphere of the fight, along with its dissonance, which at times makes it creepier.

This should have been this boss music in game. Its so cool and it would have matched the boss fight in a great way
in my opinion I think that this is what really should have played during the boss fight. The actual theme can pretty much be heard in a couple other places in the game like at the beginning for example.
