I would like to know if its automatically check or rotate to the preset are to guard or monitor ?
@@kimwenceslaosanchez4449 I am not sure if I understand you. But if you're asking if it rotates then yes it rotates to any detected motion or activity if auto tracking is enabled. Once the activity like passing dogs, vehicles or person is gone from the camera view it rotates back to the original position you set it up to. If you're asking if it will keep rotating 360 degrees to guard then no it doesn't. It used to have a patrol mode where it rotates 360 on a set time but that feature was removed from the app.
@@sleanzles thanks for the feedback what im looking for is the patrol.mode where you.dont have to manually controls the camera to.rotate to whete you wanted to it to look like your preset are to scan or monitor .
@@kimwenceslaosanchez4449 Sorry, but Patrol Mode was moved to the Pan and Tilt section. I didn't quite realized this. lol Used to be at the front as 8th icon link. Yes there's Patrol Mode. You set the mark area how long you want to stay there then you set another mark area how long you want to stay there and do on if you want more areas. Then it will automatically rotate after set time period.
I have Tapo C520WS installed 4 days ago. How can I set it up so that the camera move to follow the moving person or pet.
Hope that you can input more night time sample, especially when rotating and showing the actual amount of ambient lighting
@@HoneyLemon27 I will try via shorts tomorrow. I actually use infrared mode at night, that black n white color. But there's also a full color mode but this forces the camera to turn on it's led spotlight also to see clearly. And there's also a Smart mode that turns on full color mode with spotlight when an activity is detected then back to infrared mode after no further activity detected.
@@sleanzles Thank you very much for your prompt reply! 🙏🏻 Because I am contemplating whether to buy the C520WS or C325WB and intending to use it at the same area as you but without streetlight. I am thinking if the full colour vision in low light vision (C325WB) is good enough to forgo the 360 degrees rotating function (C520WS).
@@HoneyLemon27 well if you compare it to C325WB for night mode performance then that one wins since it has ColorPro Night Vision Mode without having to use the spotlight so it can see clearly at night with color, that C520WS doesn't have that feature. The advantage for C520WS is that it can rotate and follow activity. C520WS cannot use full color mode without spotlight turned on and that can be distracting to people passing by and Smart Mode is more distracting street passers. If you get C520WS you will end up using infrared mode unless you don't mind that spotlight turned on all night.
@sleanzles will wait for your posting on this subject Sir.
@@sleanzles I saw your reply 1 month ago and proceed to buy C325WB. The nighttime colour footage of C325WB, without any spotlight and minimal ambient lighting, is really fantastic! Thank you very much for taking the time to craft out the advice. 😄 I decided that I can do without the turret function (C520WS) and that better night colour vision is more important for me.
is the c520 better than tapo c220 in picture clarity and night vision? also what if the SD card fills completely then we need to remove it and format it to record more?
@@skyraghav3690 I don't own C220 so I really don't know for sure. But spec wise they're about the same though if you're using indoors then C220 should be good enough.
If SD fills completely then it will automatically delete the oldest one to store and save the latest one, repeatedly. You don't need to do anything at all.
Hi, about the app stutter its that really annoying? You know, the whole point to have camera installed is to control surrounding.
Or do you have another camera recomendation at the same range price?
@@mamatgate it's not stuttering much after recent updates. But there's that loading feed takes a while sometimes before it shows up. Often it's responds fast but on some occasions it can take 20-30sec to show up. I think it might have to do with reading the sdcard or the WiFi, probably. Recently switched to Wired connection and seems much more faster to respond than WiFi connection.
@ okay thanks, that help a lot. out of curiosity, based on yout experience, what camera do you prefer/recomended?
@@mamatgate I'm satisfied with this but if you want something that's good at night without light assist then checkout the Tapo C325WS but it doesn't have rotate function. Goodluck!
Please provide the link for the power extension cable. Thank you
@@mamfides just search "rj45 dc power extension" on your favourite local ecommerce sites like Amazon, Flipkart, Temu, Lazada, Shopee, eBay, AliExpress etc...
Hi i have tapo c 220 and tapo c 520 ws both 2k camera but in c 220 there is a video 2k resolution icon on screen as well but in c 520 there is no 2k video resolution icon ..plus during installation it asked me to verify which version of c 520ws camera is this..version 1 or version 2 ...as i have version 1 ..pls tell about version differences also.
@@UjjayantLamba yeah no 2k icon but it's 2K resolution if you set it on the video resolution settings.
Sorry I don't have any idea either with the difference with version 1 and 2. But best guess probably is that they used a different SoC or just regional variation but they should still have same features and functionality.
We can watch live from anywhere?
@@thelifehackerpro9943 yes, you can using the app.
Can i use sim based wifi router to connect it + can i use it without internet
@@arjeetbhadauria8054 I haven't tried but I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work on a SIM based router. You can initially set it up through it and disconnect the internet and it should still do its job. But you cannot access it until you connect back to the router and internet. If you do be sure you connect to the same router and WiFi name coz that's what was saved into the config settings when it was setup. Goodluck.
@sleanzles one more thing if I connect it with internet via mobile hotspot using one of my phone
Can I see livestream of camera from my other phone when I am outside home or in other place
@@arjeetbhadauria8054 yes you can so long you leave your phone at home and keep it connected to the internet and powered on. You just need to login to your tplink account on your other phone when you're elsewhere and access it via Tapo app.
@sleanzles and by doing this there is no need of purchasing tapo care cloud services for viewing livestream from other place, am I right?
Can it be operated if wireless?
Yes, you can control it via wireless network connection. You can control it remotely also.
Countinue Auto rotate features?
Sort of in Patrol Mode. You can set layover time when it will move from point A to B and vice versa.
AI generate rotation ? Or we need control manually
Ai
Bro what the capacity of micro sd card showing?
@@fadedgaming2588 my 256gb micro SD card shows 228.30gb
apakah bisa menggunakan POE?
No, it's not a POE camera. But I think you can use 3rd party adapter if you want to.
How many meters is the wiring (without your extender)
Very short... Like 0.5M on camera + 3M on the power adapter. So if just WIFI no wired Ethernet then that's just 3.5M.
Hi, if im at outside lets say im shopping in a mall. The camera detected suspicious activities.. will the notifications send to my phone?
@@jamesparker873 yes, so long your phone has the app installed, setup and connected to the internet. And the camera is also connected to the internet.
@@sleanzlesthank you for sharing 😊
How many people can use the app at the same time?
There's a device sharing to view the camera but not modify the settings but they need their own TP-Link ID. So first come first serve on the command but should allow multiple viewing from other user. I use two phones to view the camera using the same admin account so there's that and seem to work just fine too.
Does tgis camera record on sd card if it is not connected to internet??
@@mohdpervez6975 Yes, it does even without internet, as long as you have already set them up with the app.
Wifi coverage range?
Haven't tried. But I guess as far 2.4ghz WiFi n allows or to which type of WiFi you're connecting to. Doesn't support 5ghz btw...
