    This is a really good video, and is a perfect guide. But No, your phone will not be water resistant with adhesives they use in the video. But you can find that stuff all over ebay and Amazon.

      Thank you for your feedback! You are correct, It's difficult to guarantee the device will be waterproof as when you received it from the factory. Anytime you break the original seals, you compromise this feature.

      SDav21 I know im late for this but no. Slicing through adhesive will render the phone non water resistant but if your screen or back glass is cracked than the water resistance is gone anyway

      i have an s8 plus and it was knocked into the water for 2 minutes the phone is very fucked will be making a video soon on repairing it but the screen is very fucked and the back glass is even more fucked the bitch is just water resistant to begin with until ya open it

    Yeah I followed this to remove my back glass, ha It's not that easy it will crack as you slide anything along the edges. Can clearly see that the adhesive is not even used in this video along outer edge you can see the tape still on it.

      Mike Simon I followed the video and did the same, my back plate is fine. Constant reheating is key, just reheat like crazy non stop. It will come off, slowly with patience
