When Kirsty Lang was diagnosed with breast cancer three years ago, she was advised to stop taking HRT to treat symptoms of the menopause. Once her breast cancer treatment finished, she began to suffer extreme symptoms of the menopause and was struggling to find a suitable remedy. Today she's joined by Dr Louise Newson to explain why she's taking HRT again after discovering that the study that linked it to breast cancer was 'fundamentally flawed'. Dr Louise also sheds some light on common misconceptions about HRT and what to know about taking it.

This segment is SO important to women everywhere - it deserved a longer video. Dr. Louise Newson should have had more time to talk - This is the first time i've watched one of your videos. There is SO little attention paid to women's health - especially women in menopause - we NEED MORE attention focused here. In the U.S. less than 1% of all available research money goes to studies on women's health - THIS is unacceptable. The ONLY way this is going to change is for media to shine the spotlight on it and for men and women everywhere to demand change.
