I think it's remarkable that a lot of Japanese bands are able to deliver feelings without understanding the lyrics. When I first started out listening to J-Rock I didn't have a clue about what those guys were singing but still got the emotions. Just listen to 4:27.
I remember hearing this song for the first time it was so incredible and I got hooked on them so fast and this song will always be special to me watching them for the first time
Different from their normal stuff, but I love it all the same! Hizumi is so versatile with his singing! I mean he can scream, growl, whisper, belt it out, AND make his voice hauntingly pretty. Great singer, indeed. And Karyu's guitar also influences the mood of the sound. And of course, Zero and Tsukasa set up the whole background. Great band, and I love this PV. It's different and pretty :D
I just found this band last night. And it makes me happy. It makes me sad to hear that they're disbanding and that Hizumi has a throat issue... But one thing I find interesting is that Hizumi has had this problem fora while. And just listen to the music? His voice? Quite impressive. Either way, get well soon Hizumi. We all love you ♥

I've had a few bands in the past that I really loved and then they broke up while I was already a fan ... so I was heartbroken then. At least this time I'm spared from that and can just listen to the wonderful music, already being aware they don't exist anymore D:
Imo, his voice is this song, Squall, it peaks most of the things D'espairsRay have ever done. When he sings out, on that long part, I get goosebumps, it's scary shit but I love the band and his voice.

Depends on what you're looking for. I'm Chinese-American so im not gonna claim to know alot about it but personally my favorite japanese bands are crossfaith, her name in blood, and myproof. they're all very metal oriented though and feature screaming vocals.
