Fish on 🎣
I know I already told you earlier today that I got the new metanium shallow from digitaka(as per your recommendation) but I just came inside after using it for the first time. All I can say is wow! It is so smooth, so quiet, casts amazing, Palms incredibly…. It’s flat out awesome. Actually makes my 21scorpion dc feel like a toy, and I love that reel. Anyway thanks again for recommending digi, they are an incredible company. 74 hours from ordering to my doorstep in NJ
Very nice Nick! Cool video!!
Thanks Walter 👍
Good job. Looking great out there.
Still loving the JDM metanium and Zillion you recommended to me. Still loving the old 18 rods, but did pick up a Sarge and a Laguna. Man, we are blessed with such amazing rod makers around us.
well done Nick.... always love the eye in the sky shots too....
Thanks David!
As always great content and commentary. Thank for showing us how it's done. I love the Saltnative lures. Tight Lines
Thanks buddy
How do you get into this marsh?
I’m an old veteran who’d love to fish with you. I have a WS Ride 135 I haven’t gotten wet in years
Hey there Roo Dog, I’m looking for a fishing partner for M-F early or late marsh fishing. I have a PA 14 and Bote IPB. Contact me on FB Messenger if interested in teaming up.
I want to try the marsh, what would you advise for a beginner? I know fishing, l just don't much about marsh fishing.
Kayak is one of the best ways to start fishing the marsh.
Could anyone tell me where this area is? I know its usually to be kept to oneself, but im trying to take my wife saltwater kayak fishing and im tryinf real hard to find a good spot for us to go tomorrow.
Sucks how the person making the video doesn’t want you to fish there or he would’ve told you. Go to Harbor Drive in Hitchcock. You’ll see where the street crosses over the water. Park on the right side and launch at either side. Good reds flounder and speck
Awesome video! I want to learn how to kayak fish one of these days!
New sub ! Liked 🙌😊✌️

Great info video friend stay connected 👍👍
👍
Top secret? Well you just told 1/2 the world.
hmmmm no I don't think he did....upper texas coast is pretty big and Galveston is big too...
@rxangler thanks for all your help I finally pulled trigger in daiwa gekkabijin pe and old 18 buoyancy ultra light so i can throw the buggs click shrimp and click minnows. What varavis braid model type you using now i bought there new 8 multi color in all the sizes digitaka had would you start off with the 0.6 gauge, im kind of worried about line capacity only being 50 yards not to worried about braking with a flurocarbon leader going use 12 lb varivis
I would do 1.2 guage PE x8 braid line with 12 pound fluro leader. Use my discount code to save some money.
Awesome! Im curious from your links the #1.5 varivas line has a 28.6 lb test and your leader line is 12 lb test? Is this correct? Isn't is the norm to use a heavier lb test line for the leader? Thank you.
Using a lighter leader line is best for finesse fishing. Going heavier than 12 pound fluro would make the leader line thicker than your Varivas braid line.
@@RXAngler understood ...thanks
Casper looking good.
What color and size Shimmer Swimmer is your favorite.
Size and brand of jig head or hook too
3.5” natural color with a 1/8 oz 1/0 jig head.
Maybe I had some bad Verivas 8, but the spool I put on my metanium ended up breaking 3 different times. Not my FG knot, not at the reel in a backlash, but on 2 separate casts and once fighting a fish it just broke mid line.
Give them a contact to get exchanged. What guage were you using?
@@RXAngler 1.5
@@RXAngler the spool of verivas 8 I used on the zillion has had zero issues. I'm now trying out a locally made braid, Tight Lines braid. I like it. Very soft and supple. Not wirey and no coating that I can tell. Color looks great and stays on the line. Theyre out of Tomball. Actually made there; not just relabled there.
Awesome! I’m a new fairly new follower and a getting into salt fishing. Where is a good place to fish in Freeport / surf side area? Still trying to catch a Texas triple.
