I'm not sure if anyone else reacted to this film in the same way, but as a sex addict/porn addict, this is the film I come back to whenever I need to feel like I'm not alone. I know it sounds weird, but it comforts me to know that I'm not the only one who deals with these urges on a daily basis. It's a private anguish that I deal with in my own way.
I would go as far as to call this film a masterpiece. This left me with such a raw feeling when it concluded that it really stuck out to me in a way that few films have. Truly an intriguing piece of work.
You go in thinking that you will be convulsed with shame of watching this film and you get out feeling atrophied by your own shame, your misgivings and entrapments in life. Utter genius.
What Carey Mulligan said here about how they used to have a closeness or that she used to make her brother laugh or playful fighting between them ,but that at the point in their story in which we enter, it's not working anymore. This insight was good for me to know, just now made me want to watch it a 3rd time, after seeing this interview.
Yeah, that movie stilled me and simultaneously shook me like no other before, nor since. I wanna watch it again to experience it's incredible performances and production; yet, I just can't.
the movie left me sobbing and what actually made me understand how good it is, is that truly in no way i found the sex scenes enjoyable or even pleasant, they were just disturbing bc you know he was actually suffering. Brilliant movie, amazing performances (Fassbender especially was something else), but as you said i can’t bring myself to watch it again.
One of the few movies that made me teared up. I watched to movie to see some porn scenes skipping between scenes. Halfway through stopped and went back and saw the entire movie without skipping. Thankgod no one saw me after the movie. It is the place we come from*.

Shame is one of the most brilliant franchises in the history of cinema, starring Michael Fassbender, where he plays a man who lives madly his life through Sex. Nevertheless, when Sex becomes an addiction in his life, it turns dangerous, on the other hand, Steve (The film director) always knew Michael was the right actor to play the starring role. So I wish he could be back to work with Michael for other projects.

An unexplored subject matter, truly transfixing, utterly disturbing, completely brilliant
Such a brilliant film .
The scene were they are both on the couch is perfection.

A masterpiece!
this movie affects me to this day
The tone and acting were great at creating an emotional response but in the end there was no real motivations behind the characters problems.
Good point.
I haven't even seen the whole thing but it got across why it's called sex addiction. You could see that he was jonesing when he couldn't get his fix.
Can tell how to download shame movie
It's on mkvking.com
Steve McQueen...yeah right
this doesn't really exist in the adult world. Teens, maybe. But teens have no income to live this kind of life.
