I'm a triathlon athlete in my late 50's. I'm trying to loose weight. Any ideas what can I use instead of the chocolate milk after a hard training session
Try protein drinks - buy them from Supplement shops. You can get chocolate flavor without the calories.
Get a good whey protein and mix with full fat milk. Consider going keto so you become metabolically flexible. So many runners with insulin resistance and even T2D these days and they don't even know it. All those gels and junk carbs. I used to chug down HFCS and maltodextrine and now in my 50s I regret it. You can't outrun a bad diet.
Eat well, sleep well and hydrate well. Everything else is snake oil
