Buying the last year of a car before a completely new version comes out means you get a version that has had the bugs worked out of it. Plus, you can usually get a good deal on them, as a lot of buyers will be waiting for the next new thing. You'll miss out on the new styling, and perhaps some more important updates, but I think the pros outweigh the cons.
My thoughts exactly. Might have to swoop one of these for a daily when the new generation hits. I just hope the factory isn’t lethargic about building these for so long that they’ve gotten sloppy haha.
I have a altitude package and my wife has a Laredo X they are exactly the same except for the black out package. Identical interiors. The Laredo X is a really good trim for what it comes with.
I actually leased the 2019 and it is exactly the same. I’m planning on keeping it Bc I barely drive it and it’s actually a quite nice car, spacious and comfortable ride.

Just bought the 2022 version - one of the last ones = 2022 Grand Cherokee WK. There are only 3 versions - Laredo X E trim, Laredo X Altitude trim, and Laredo X Limited trim package. The Jefferson North Plant is to be reset at the end of February 2022. I just bet that this is the best vehicle I will ever own, after all it is the 11th year of production, and all bugs have been addressed. Based on a Mercedes design.
I had a 2007 grand Cherokee loradeo liked a lot. Sold it went with another car manufacturer but after 3 years of missing having a Jeep I am planning on going back to it in a few months.

Don't be fooled!!. I sell these and it is just a marketing gimmick. The Laredo X is the same thing as what the JGC Altitude has been for years. Most of them come jammed up from the factory with all the options they can put into them. They just changed the naming so it went in line with the Limited. Where you have the appearance package of the Limited X. So now you have a Laredo, Laredo X, Limited, Limited X...... Where before you had the Altitude in place of the Laredo. Nothing has changed.
@@donknicker8110 Not really Don. It all depends on what you want them to have for options and what kind of exterior style you would like for them to have. Thats all.

I bought mine in 2015 and this 2021 model is 98.5% identical to mine. Jeep must be making a killing by selling the exact same chassis and minor body updates. If anyone buys a JGC Limited or Laredo and pays more than $30K, you’re wasting a lot of hard earned money.
I've never seen a GC that wouldn't climb a tree. For Safety and go-go anywhere anytime , everyone knows . There is none better. In my job you can't call off. Subaru's are great cars , but not in deep snow they ain't. Pick wisely !!!!!!! Peace.
Yes. For 2021 they brought back the Laredo X model and that model offers the Altitude package. Weird way of doing it but it’s basically the same as the prior Altitude Models.
Looks almost like my 2016 JGC. I thought the 2021 model was going to be the big reveal for the new styling...guess I was wrong. This style still looks good but its sooooooooooo old and still way overpriced. I bought my 2016 in 2018 and by then it had lost almost half its value due to depreciation.
It’s not on this trim, the srt hood is on the limited x and it had the larger more aggressive grill with led lights. The high altitude had the front end but no srt hood
