After the IVC relocated to the east and south India the empty IVC appears to be occupied by an incompetent a native Hunter Gatherer population and continued with the coming of nomadic Steppe pastoralist (cattle herders) in 1500bc.Extrnsive indiscriminate cohabitation and mixing over 2000years,created a new all pervasive genetic identity now known as the ANI confined to north India.
The imposition of Endogamy followed by the Caste system in 100AD a parochial social measure is indicative of religious presence and the Vedic culture
However, Endogamy and following Caste system are meaningless and misleading imposition as the population had already mixed extensively becoming homogenous and indistinguishable genetically.

Was an indigenous urban civilization
The nomadic Steppe (cattle herders non Brahmin) pastoralist arrived in the indo gangetic plain in 1500bc
The war chariots are relevant to the iron age 1200bc to 500bc.The Steppe mixed extensively with the native Indian population AASI and did not practise any form of segregation .
The Vedic culture appears amongst the Steppe people in 100ADwith the advent of Endogamy and the Caste system.
Segregation of
the population along race and caste lines was not known until 100AD
