Parking at the port is safe and my family does that every time we go on a Disney cruise.
You won’t be in your cabin much. The Wish itinerary is sooo short. You will spend more time running around the ship. The Wish’s restaurants are so tight that you’ll definitely be talking with the people around you. Take cash because you’re going to want to slip your favorite cast members a little extra. Magic bands are extra magical on the ship. They work so much better at sea than at the parks. I remember back when we were all rebooking cruises. Those were sad days. So glad you finally get to go on your first cruise! The ship has stabilizers. Hopefully that will keep you from motion sickness! Enjoy your cruise!

My husband gets incredibly motion sick. On our cruise last August he used the Relief Band which seemed to help more than anything else. He also uses it on Disney World rides!
Cherry you can always do washing whilst you are at resorts.
The bigger the ship the less it rocks & the less you should feel sick. Try getting some liquorice OR aniseed candy to suck on as both are supposed to help you feel less sick.
Congrats! I wish you tons of fun on your first Disney cruise🚢 I’m gonna say you might not get sea sick because you won’t feel the “rocking” of the boat because it is so big. I got sea on a smaller boat which sits closer to the water and all the rocking made me ill but when my husband and I went on Mexican Reviera cruise I didn’t feel a thing but I had stuff just case. Not sure if that’s helps but excited for you and we still want to go on one with the kids (teens). Have a magical cruise❤
I heard that the showers in the work out area are some what larger than in the rooms, so excited for you two, this is something you two deserve,,, I can't wait for all your outfits, and wear a cross body and put it on the front of your body while off ship, better to be safe... and it's called making way, when you leave port..and the drink package for your hubby, and do the couples spa massage..stay hydrated 🚢

Meclazine. (Active ingredient in one version of non-drowsy dramamine, but the generic meclazine is much cheaper and you can get it at any pharmacy without a prescription!) Take it every day of the cruise, and maybe even start it a couple days before you go so it is well established in your system! Life long Vertigo sufferer here. Trust me - this is the answer. 😂

That’s so exciting to go on a cruise! 🚢 my husband and I have been on the Wish twice and we absolutely love it 🤗 some suggestions we have learned…I love Bumblebella packing cubes for cruises. They hang in the closet and are amazing because you can pack specific outfits and have them all organized. We absolutely loved Palo’s for brunch. The chicken parm and lasagna are probably the best we have tasted. It is an up charge but you basically get all you can eat. We didn’t get off at Nassau and stayed on the boat and it’s super nice because you have much quicker access to a lot of activities. They will give you envelopes for tips at the end of your cruise which you then put your pre-paid ticket into but you can also add in cash if you want to give them extra. We were so confused the first time we got them. And as a fellow planner, the best feeling will be getting into the cruise terminal and logging onto the ship’s WiFi to finally see the activities! Also if you like tacos, Donald’s Cantina on the pool deck is amazing! I have eaten them like 2-3 times each cruise. 🌮

I got sick when the cruise I took from Florida went into deeper waters I think the patch thing should work I wear the ones that go behind the ears. I wear it sometimes now when I go to the theme parks for rides I’m soo happy for you that u r going on this vacay after everything I have been thru🛳️

I am so happy for you!! I would like to suggest the RUclips channel The Tim Tracker. They are a lovely family from Florida and they cover tons of Disney. They have been on several cruises and show tons of information. The Ordinary Adventures are a couple from California that also have a great channel about theme parks, cruises & general travel. I personally would never leave anything in the car, but I’m risk adverse 😊How about shipping some stuff directly to your family ahead of time.
Parking is totally fine and secure. Nothing to worry about there. Have the best time. I've been fortunate enough to sail on 20 Disney cruises so to say I think you're going to love it is an understatement!

🚢When we sailed to Disney Paris it was a six hour long sailing and i have travel sickness too ,i found eatting little but often helped me take lots of plain snacks, Crackers, crisp, cerial bars that kind of thing & plenty of sips of water . I have been on three Disney Cruises. Not on the Wish. My favorite was the one out of Florida in 2022 on the Fantasy. It was so much fun and a lot quieter because it wasn’t a fully booked ship. But I very much enjoyed the other two as well. I just wouldn’t do a holiday cruise ever again. Much rather do Spring Break during March or April. My tip is to carry a small bag with you around the boat. You won’t be in your room much. We only went back to change or shower. 4 days goes by fast on a cruise. I much prefer a 5 day cruise. The added day really helps in being able to do most of what you want to do. Also be sure to pack aloe in case of a sunburn. I was so happy I did on my second cruise. I got badly sunburnt on Castaway Cay. My brother rented a cabana and we were able to swim in the ocean without much people around. He took what he would have spent on two canceled cruises and used it on an upgraded room and cabana. My mom and I we still had the regular stateroom. We didn’t mind though. We weren’t in the room much at all.

Hey Jessi!! So happy for you ❤️ Nassau probably isn't a whole day thing but I'd definitely get off and at least take a walk. The pirate museum is fun. Not amazing, but a good time. You can walk up and down the main tourist street. Here's where I know I differ from a lot of people. I like the straw market and a lot of people hate it. The people running their stalls can be high pressure but that's to be expected. They're trying to earn a living. I at no time felt unsafe or harassed. I'd talk with them if I was interested in what they had or would just say no thank you and keep walking. Definitely have cash on you. My favorite part is actually an aisle of vendors right outside of the straw market where they do wood carving. It's become a tradition for me to get a wood carving each time. They do beautiful work. You're going to have such a wonderful time!!!!
Edited to add seasickness commentary. My mom's doctor actually has a pill of some sort she can take for sea sickness. I'll find out what it. My personal experience is that I have never really had an issue. It gets rocky the last night when you're crossing back over to Canaveral so watch out for that. Also, if you're in any of the interior spaces that can make sea sickness worse. Take a few minutes to go sit outside where you can see the horizon. That helps a lot and kind of rebalances you
First, I’m so excited for you and this trip as it is much deserved! Second, while in Nassau be very cautious of your surroundings and try to stay with the main crowds. It can be a little dicey in certain areas and also can include people trying to sell you things and not wanting to take “no” the first time which can be a little overwhelming. I think it’s important to experience Nassau at least once. For future cruises you could always stay on the ship at port because really once you’ve done the Bahamas once, you’ve done the Bahamas lol (besides excursions or anything extra). Plus with everyone off the ship exploring, it leaves less crowds, lines, business on board. Whatever you decide to end up doing, you’ll have an amazing time and make long lasting memories! Enjoy every minute of your trip girl!

I would recommend when you go back on a cruise for a second time that you go on the San Diego one. That one was so much fun for my mom and I. Depending on the time of year I would make sure you bring a light jacket. We went in late March and it was cold.

We sailed on the Wish last year and it was amazing. I used the patches and never felt sick even during the rough weather. Make sure to do the 5k. It doesn't get you onto the island any earlier but you are definitely going to want the medal as a souvenir. 🚢🚢

Third I get motion sickness easy too I even have to take dramamine to ride coasters. My first cruise was to Belize & Honduras. I was so paranoid that I was going to be sick and have a horrible trip. Walking on I took Dramamine, eating ginger chews, had those wrist things on the whole 9. I was fine. I didn’t do anything from the second day on. A few people told me it’s because the Caribbean Sea is calmer. Hopefully you will have the same experience of calm and fun.

Can’t image packing for 20 days that includes a Disney cruise and attending wedding I’m heading to Canada (from Australia) in May for 14days traveling around there for a few days getting on cruise ship for a week that head up to Alaska and I’m already thinking my bag is not big enough. Also be sure to pack sea bands bracelets. I didn’t need them. But had them just in case. On our Christmas cruise a lot of people got sea sick. This was out of Galveston and Texas was getting a huge cold front. I didn’t get sick. Maybe because it was my third cruise. But do bring sea bands bracelets. I am the weird person that from what I have experienced cruises and airplanes do not make me sick. It’s cars that do. And the one time I went on a train. I guess I do better in the air and sea. And use the washing machines on the cruise if you can. We didn’t. But we were only gone the duration of the cruise and then an extra day or two for plane travel.
Thank you for the suggestion, I just ordered some sea bands to add to my survival kit! LOL! Oh, I didnt realize they had laundry on the cruise, I'll be sure to use that.

I am so happy that you and Jesse finally get to go on a Disney Cruise! They are truly so much fun! A few tips I have for the Wish is do the AquaMouse which is the water slide on ship which is so much fun! Go see the shows! They have Aladdin and another show that I forget the name but they are broadway style shows and Disney does such a good job. Defiantly keep an eye on the activities that are happening and use the app to heart which activities you would like to do. Another tip is live your day to the fullest! There is so much to do on and off the boat all day which is so magical! On Castaway Cay there is a lot of fun activities to do in the water like the water bicycles, peddle boats, and paddle boards which I enjoyed and there is also parasailing. Something you may have not known but the gist shops aren't open all day. If you are at a port the shops won't be open until you set sail. I hope some of these tips are helpful! I can't wait to see your vlogs.😁😘

Do so happy for you. I too get very sea sick the patches fo work wonderful. Probably the trip back to Port Canaval will be the worst. It seems those waters are always rough. So prepare for that. You should be good otherwise.
I’ve never been on a Disney cruise hope yo one day, but have cruised several times on other cruise lines. I’ve seen vlogs about Disney cruises and they say the Rainforest room package is a must have Sounds like something you and Jesse would love. Also heard go to guest services as soon as you get on the ship and book that package if you want it.
I’m so looking forward to seeing all the vlogs but most looking forward to Jesse giving his food reviews lol. And with all the good wow it’s going to be a good time lol.

Sooo exciting! I’m hoping to do a Disney cruise next year! They have them a couple times a year here in Australia. For the sea sickness we have these bands in Australia, you wear them on your wrist. They’re called ‘Sea Band’. It sits on a pressure point in your wrist (doesn’t hurt) that helps curb the nausea. I’m not sure if it’s a USA thing but you can probably find some similar!

From someone who has dealt with motion sickness in the past, ginger chews help a great deal. I don't remember the brand, but I get a mango flavor ginger chew which is pretty good. Enjoy your cruise
Ok, so happy that you had good results with the ginger chews. I didn't realize they came in different flavors! Checked on Amazon and got lemon flavored ones (lemon is my favorite flavor) so hopefully those will be tastier than the plain ginger.
