We the Nagas, younger generation should never forget how our Forefathers were tortured, brutally killed, women were raped & houses were burnt down into ashes (tears & blood)...This is just one part of the story...there are many incidents happened in many places...& getting to know all these are so painful. Thank you Takeone Nagaland Team from my bottom of my heart for covering this...This is so genuine & the story must be told to everyone.Your work is highly appreciated.
well, not exactly "Forefathers" bcoz this happened in around 1994 only. i happened to be 7 yrs old at that time and i'm not that old. Anyways a very dark day for the MKG people.
27 dec is my birthday My dad went to buy me a gift for my birthday and all that nightmare happened but he survived. Today he is 81 and he still narrated how fortunate he was that day. From that day I stopped demanding gifts for my birthday till today.
On my way to work in the bus...my earbuds in, and I'm listening with all ears. Tears roll down.. How strong are they to even narrate the story. It occurred to me like a movie scene.. May God grant them peace.
As a 7 year old..on that very day our neighbour, an uncle father of 3 was burnt alive inside a godown. He was one of it among the 5 burnt down soul's. Still it lingers and afresh in my mind. So unfortunate day it was. By God's grace our family saved 🙏 Thank you for Sharing 'The black Day' of Mokokchung People
I remember being under our bed for hours with two neighbourhood kids who couldn't go back home. Their mother had gone to the nearby jungle to fetch fire wood.. Stray bullets hitting our roof. Everyone praying! Thankyou takeone. The world must know. The world must never forget!
My daddy said he went for a haircut that day. But since the salon was full of people, he went up towards the DC Hill in search of another more vacant salon for his haircut... And that is when the incident started and my daddy quickly returned home unharmed. I was still a lil' child back then and I don't remember that incident yet it sends a cold shiver down my spine everytime I hear this story.
Whenever I hear about this incident, I get shivers down my spine and I feel an immense pain in my heart for all the people who faced the unimaginable pain and suffering. Even if we have so much anger, forgive and move on because Tsüngremi dang mangyangtsü!
Our family was also one among the victim of this fateful day. It was hard to forgive and move on, but today we have forgiven as Christ has taught us to forgive and that's the best thing we could do. A memory never to be forgotten but forgiven.
Thank u TakeOneNagaland for sharing our story... This is just a pinch of the inexplicable and unjustifiable atrocities committed on Nagas by the Indian Army but glad that the world knows now.. Wil never forget this day for sure... Forgiven or not is another thing... For the sake of the mother's and innocent souls raped and killed it is just impossible to take in what the Army did... May the souls gone find peace in our Lord...
