Hey folks, I'd like to address several comments that pointed out my use of the engine to analyze the opening from the second game while it was still ongoing, around the 25:00 mark. First, and most importantly, having an engine running during a game is against the rules, end of story. It was wrong and I unreservedly apologize to my opponent and to any viewers who felt uncomfortable during that segment. After capturing my opponent's queen, I fully expected resignation any moment and got impatient. It goes without saying that one's status or title should never put them above justified criticism. I am sorry and it will not happen again. However, I'd like to strongly request that you take the context into account and treat it charitably. The speedrun series is educational in nature, and as such, my priority at every moment is to maximize the instructive value of each second. I was up a full queen and minor piece, and was looking at the opening (i.e. the unrelated position after a few moves) in the hopes of shortening the post-game analysis. In the moment, I thought it obvious that in the context of the series it would not be interpreted by anyone as deliberate cheating. I think that anyone with a modicum of discernment can see that I had zero intention of "normalizing cheating" by suggesting that using an engine during a competitive game is in any way acceptable. It is not. And anyone who has watched even a tiny percent of my YT or stream content can agree, I hope, that I have consistently advocated for fair play in chess, and have tried to foster a community that prizes honesty and integrity as we all strive to become better at chess. My priority is, and always will remain, to put out educational content that helps people improve at chess. I try to lead by example, but I am not perfect. Thank you for taking this into consideration, and my deepest gratitude to y'all for your support, kind words, and stories of success. I am honored and grateful to play a part in your chess journey.

@@Kimdk87 he did it in the middle of the game. it's called cheating. and no, using a speedrun account doesn't make it okay to cheat...
There is a pinned explanation under the video. He apologized for the use of the engine during the game but it's clear that it was not done to gain an unfair advantage against the opponent. Take a moment to read the response instead of stirring up old issues.
@@user-ee1lo1il3f Do you think he was confused on how to win that position and just HAD to turn on the engine? You are acting in so bad faith. You know, he wasn't doing it to cheat, but only doing it to get started on the analysis. Stupid of him to turn it on before resignation, but you can't seriously mean he was cheating here
Niceee DN:)
Anish Giri is actually giving the early Be6 in the Najdorf line as his recommendation
Lesgooo danya, i want to be your student
So if you watch at 2x speed you may not see why opponent's queen disappeared at 24:40 cause Dnaro's knight is that fast
24:37 I'll be honest, I didn't see that white's queen was eyeing the d7 square. I wanted the knight on that square. -- White was very friendly.
I've been your fan for long time now, BUT, Can you please explain why you used engine at 25:00???? PLEASE>?
sure. Look at the pinned comment on the video he made 3 months ago. There is an explanation right there for you if you look.
@@chessgains8075 ok but how do we know he wont be doing the same during TT?, the fact he can do that on a second monitor so quickly during the game its alarming
@@StarWarsBattleFron we dont know 100%. But his explanation is very fair. And everything Daniel has done for chess and if you watch him even in the slightest should make you belive him. Any top player could potentionaly cheat like that. This one instance in this speed run game is NOT alarming on Daniel specificaly imo. Cheating in chess is alarming however.
@@chessgains8075 i believe him, but i am also open minded, there is a reason why lichess has banned these kind of content
@@StarWarsBattleFron
How quick? Lol how much time do you need to open a program and play a few moves from an opening you just played? He took like 30 seconds so what are you on about?
25:50 Who's this Clyde guy? He could possibly clear up all this misunderstanding in a few minutes...
I love long episodes
20:43 is only giving kramnick credibility. The clock on the game keeps going at the same pace, but your hand somehow is now covering your mouth.....? It's not the only time this happens on your videos. Even in this video. Also body language analysis says that liars tend to cover their mouths, as if trying to hide the truth.... It's weird. Also :34 into this video, the opponent's clock goes from 9:55 to 9:53, while a similar but slightly less noticable *glitch in the matrix occurs.... 😮 The thing is. I never even heard about these allegations against you until today. So I watched some videos, and couldn't even tell what kramnick was specifically talking about. I saw, him, being very vague and hard to understand and you, doing a refutation that proved nothing.... now I see something deeper. Danya you play like an engine
43:20 i have heard this back then from you
Greatings from Somalia
“Unless he knows reams of theory, our opponent is in serious trouble” GM Naroditsky against literally anyone after the first 3 moves
All i can play is the vienna and caro kahn and other openings for a 1400?
Learn how to play the Italian. There’s a learning curve, but I’m around 1500 and have gotten some really nice monster attacks as white in the pianissimo.
Thats good enough
Spanish if you want and endless well of ideas and variation. Yeah it's theory heavy but it's not like people at this level will know 15 move long lines. King's Gambit and any Sicillian if you want to have fun.
Opponent plays Ng5:
Danya: I think I know what my opponent is trying to do. Brilliant!
What is DYI?
Why are you lurking on your phone all the time? what is there?
This is clearly a different setup. The second monitor shown on Danya's video is most likely the same one reflected on the bookshelf doors and his chat is likely open on his phone.
"welcome to those watching on youtube" ... is this also being streamed somewhere else?
Yes he streams on twitch and if you watch you can catch a Speedrun game at the end of stream.

😂
how did the game last 8 minutes and danny yap for an hour
Why do you keep wishing opponents would resign? XD
Don't you know one of GM chessbrah's rules is never resign? People are just following the rules, and you're the one playing 1100's
Love your content. Please keep making cool stuff like this
that h6 move from the 1700 player mouse slip meant to play h5 and save the knight.
24:40 😂 i was thinking about defening the 7th rank with queen, and suddenly Sensei capture the queen 👑
two episodes in 7 days !!!!!
You are the best
Danya missed the underpromotion in game 3. As we all know, if you can underpromote and win, you do it.
“Yes, precisely, it was Berlin, 1911, and I was playing Franz Ferdinand in the first round when José Capablanca…”
25:14 he’s looking at the engine during the game?
alert kramnik
@@vitahast I don’t care if it’s already a winning position, he is an influential figure in the chess world and he shouldn’t normalize looking at an engine while you’re playing to his audience
25:52 You can see his program on window reflection iin the background! THATS crazy!
what does it say?
Ya chessbase program is there
I wish Naroditsky would dominate my opening like he does for people on stream.
"after our opponent resigns"
>opponent immediately resigns
Great vid please use Vienna game, caro kann defence and Dutch defence for your next speed run, it’s my repertoire.
Fun fact: We never had Dutch in all of the speedruns. Vienna was also rare, especially gambit line.
