Rhythms - Grenoble

There is something incredibly bizarre yet enchanting about coming home, but not quite. I grew up a 5-hour car ride away from Grenoble but had never set foot there until this opportunity came along. The landscapes so different, but the sounds, smells and people so familiar - it made something in my chest swell.
“Rhythms” is my creative response after a week spent in Grenoble, France. A cohort of 10 artists living in Manchester and Grenoble was invited to share, collaborate and create together as part of “Spotlight” a cultural and artistic exchange funded by the British Council.
I got on the plane clueless as to what my creative response would be, I came back with too many ideas for one person to explore. I ended up settling on the following: a soundscape accompanied by a video attempting to encapsulate the rhythms of the city of Grenoble. Its people, nature and infinite things that make up its heartbeat.
