Wow two of the most beast sounding drum machines together. Which machine would you say is the best overall? Asking for a friend who cant afford both ;)
I hear ya! They are not cheap but I don't have kids so I've got some extra diaper money. Pulsar is weirder and you'll get more unique sounding rhythms from it but it's much harder to play live or to bring back a sound you discovered. Once you turn it off, you might never get it back. The Perkons is much easier to play live and recall sounds and rhythms and it sounds amazing too but is more limited in scope than the Pulsar IMO. They're both amazing to me. Only play the Pulsar when you can record cause you'll find things you'll wish you saved.
@@leegridstevens7097 Ahh yes that makes sense. Reminds me of my DFAM, I love the sounds and always have to record real time since you might never hear the sequence and sound again. Both Pulsar and Perkons offer different experiences I guess and depends which one you envision helping more with your music. Thank you for this wonderful insight!\
Hey man, I have both, and have been wanting to do a similar thing that you are doing, and I'm glad you did it haha. so routing the pulsar into the pulsar is insane ! It's like they were meant for each other. very kick ass vibe you've got going on.
Personally, I prefer the pulsar because I love the weirdness you can get out of it. If you're playing live or want quick accessible beats with a lot of flexibility and hard hitting sound then the Perkons is filthy. It can get weird too but doesn't have the insane range that the pulsar has. Both are awesome, though
Not entirely... The Perkons kick is sent into the Bass Drum module on the Pulsar playing it's own rhythm. Those two beats are mixed together and then sent to the delay module on the Pulsar which is on a very short loop with long feedback and low-end filter (tone knob). The delay module is a big part of the heavy-ness.
I think the Pulsar can do it all alone without the Perkons. It has it all. All it needs it's the sequencer.
Two drum machine Gods going head to head. Awesome
That low end , oh my.....
i thought nobodys gonna beat the alpha base xD
Bass Drum Megazord!!
Muy dream combo..... One day i will😅
I'm looking at this combo. Nice

Very nice
Strong pairing!👍
What do you prefer? And why? I'm oriented tu Pulsar for hands on and circuit bending factor. Perkons seems more controllable and "modern".

As the kids nowadays exclaim,...fucking RAD!
Nice
Emphasis on the pipe-like sound as is running solor @ 1:20 - 1:25 and you've got yourself a banger.
Nice! 🙂👍
Wow this Bass drum is so heavy! It’s coming from the perkons right?

Filthy. I love it.

Do you think you’re so cool? I’m not jealous at all😂 totally joking. I have 2DFAMS and I’ve been looking to get a pulsar. You got me straight up jelly
How are 2 DFAM working out for you? I have one & thinking of getting another
That's all, shit?
