      @@mariancoker5772I've worked in inpatient level 4 psychiatric centers my entire adult life. Starting as a mental health technician, becoming a mental health tech II and finally becoming a LPC. I specialize in adolescent behavioral health, and have seen 10 year old girls bench press 4 grown men off the ground during a therapeutic hold. I've seen patients perform the most debased and violent acts towards children and once in treatment towards other patients. Fortunately I work for a hospital that not only allows Catholic doctrine to be taught to our patients, but outright encourages the practice of prayer. There is most definitely demonic influence in some of these patients, if only I could legally recommend a spiritual cure, unfortunately they'll allow my fellow therapist to recommend life ruining gender affirmative care, but they refuse to update the DSM with a code for Demonic oppresion..

      I have a movement disorder that used to make me look and feel demon possessed. I’ve been able to learn to tap into that feeling of being electrocuted and put it to use. What I’ve seen is that same energy that causes so much pain and dysfunction can also totally block all pain and leave me with something I can only call retard strength.
      Other than I can’t use my body I’m perfectly fine in my head. But not being able to use the body makes it look like it could be psychiatric. I have even been taken to the hospital where I destroyed their equipment until they chained me to a bed. And put stronger restraints on after I broke the first pair. All this crap is from a really bad head injury. People aren’t kidding when they say mental health has a ton of stigma

    • @marial3231

      @@macintoshimann9892 movement disorders I feel are some the most torturous illness. If you don’t mind my asking what kind of disorder do you have? I have dystonia that started from the neck and spread down a bit but then “froze” via adhesion la that go down to the bott of my leg a yet I look normal. I used to do body scan mediation before this happened due to a neck surgery that was much more painful than it should’ve been and for a while o could use the meditation to equilibraste my body but eventually the meditations would CAUSE spasms that I was not aware were happening and I’d literally get injured. Yesterday I finally listened to some verses on healing the body from Jesus and a Pastor discuss healing and today my body is so much bette than it’s been in a while. I did not try to get it to relax in any way o simply listened to the word of god and contemplated on it and my body started amazingly relaxing in ways I’d forgotten it needed but what’s more I had a sense of peace that lasted. I must turn to the Lotd for me i deep down I know it’s the only way but it’ll be really hard for e as ever since o turned to Jesus my life got so much harder and I became super critical of myself and became very afraid of the dark and seeing thing that shouldn’t been.

      What do you think of the spiritual gift of encouragement/exhortation? Why do you think it’s wrong to exercise a spiritual gift that the Holy Spirit gives the Body of Christ to build one another up in the faith? Steven’s (as well as Moriah’s and Pastor Craig’s) talents and gifts are being used by and for the Lord here so it is godly and biblical to encourage them to continue to do so. They regularly give the glory to God and there is no pride here in these three awesome people. Their discussion is a wonderful, fruitful work of the Spirit. I understand that you don’t want people to become puffed up from complements but these comments you’re commenting on are building a brother up in the Lord with godly intentions, they’re not taking glory away from God.

    When he said that he experienced God's clarification of, "Nobody cares like I care." It reminded me of a similar experience that I had. In 2018 my life changed dramatically when memories of severe childhood sexual abuse began to surface. One of the greatest struggles I had with it was the question: why would God design the human body to experience orgasm at such a young age, knowing what it would do to that person's self-worth. I struggled with this question for several days until one afternoon while I was walking my dog, I was praying about and I was given an answer. It's because I needed to know God's worth of me not my worth of myself. Because of sin I have a very low worth of myself but because of God's love, I'm worth so much to Him that He sent His Son to suffer and die in my place so that I may no longer be separated from Him for eternity. God's worth of me is far greater than my worth of myself.

    Thank you so much for this video. When I was living in total depravity, my mental illness completely plummeted. I had always been mentally ill since early childhood, but it got WAY worse. After stewing in rage and anger towards family I began waking up at 3am constantly. I became worried and afraid. Then I was hospitalized. When I was wrestling with coming to Christ I was completely oppressed. Insomnia. No appetite. Weight loss. Nightmares of demons and of Satan. A strong desire to give in to Satan and into the oppression. Nightmares of handing myself over. Then Christ rescued me in the pit. I was coming to the conclusion I was going to Hell because I wasnt sure if I could believe. I laid in bed, purposely deciding to give up. And the Holy Spitirt filled me and a voice in the form of a feeling took hold of me and fervently told me to go to church. I never got dressed faster. Went to church. Cried during worship and surrendered and told Jesus I would begin giving up my sinful dedires and the desires that keep me from being close to Him. My mental health has gotten better. I still feel oppressed. Constant doubts. Severe anxiety. I see after this video things I need to repent for. Thank you.

    I was born again at age 13 but fell away and got into the gay lifestyle but felt trapped .Like I couldn't come back to God.I went to church but I still felt gay so I caved into the lifestyle more and began hating Christians.
    Well eventually I reached a point where very dangerous things beyond my control where having their way and I was tormented and fearful.
    I think then I truely repented and God sent me a man who cast demons out of me.
    That was 25 years ago and I'm still walking with Him and getting more peace and truth in my life.

      @Julie's Heart Healed By Jesus Forgive me, but I am absolutely shocked by your comment that Steven would have to cut his hair to become a Pastor! I’m aware of a few verses in the Bible that speak to the length of ones hair. I myself believe God will purposely call men that have long hair, ones that look like bikers from motorcycle gangs even, to become Pastors to preach the word of God and help save a wider range of souls that might otherwise never know God in this evil world we’re living in! I believe that’s the most important thing, not the way a person looks or how long their hair is! God almighty is the One and Only Judge

I was struggling with anger and judgment yesterday and truly throughout the last couple of months towards a particular situation and it was right at the beginning the reminder to forgive just as I have been forgiven. The message how God uses oppression for His works was really important for me to hear because I have also worried for someone I care for, but just as God saved me from my wicked sins, he can save those I love and pray for every day. When people say they can't forgive, it is helpful to realize that forgiveness isn't getting over the damage. It is forgiving the person, letting them off the hook, not making the sin less sinful than it is. A lot of times, especially because the world is constantly making evil, good, and good, evil, the pressure _people_ put on us to "forgive" is actually to just not make a big deal out of the damaging effects, because it supposedly is not really that bad,. And to "get over it", which is what we feel like we can't do. But getting over it is healing, God's work, not forgiving, which we are commanded to do. Forgiving is simply forgiving the person, not getting over its harm. Getting over it is not a requirement; it's an eventual benefit, in that God will heal us from the damage we truly cannot make better on our own. That is the real way it works.

    I agree with a lot of things Steven says, but I disagree with what he says concerning satan in the Old Testament. I do believe that satan in the Old Testament is the same one in the New Testament. Here’s why, in Revelation 12 we read about the great dragon that hurled down. Listen to how John identifies this dragon that was hurled down: that ANCIENT SERPENT called the devil or SATAN, who leads the whole world astray. John is showing us that this devil was the one that tempted Adam and Eve by calling it the Ancient Serpent and the one that was mentioned in Job by calling it Satan. Also, if the “devil” that tempted Jesus was a different one from the Old Testament, how come John refers to it as the ANCIENT serpent? By John calling it this, he’s saying that this adversary is Old, not new. So the devil that tempted Jesus was not a different one from the Old Testament, but the same one that was there in the garden and in the book of Job.

      Steven just meant satan was referred generally as the accuser in the old testament but after Jesus exposed the devil the Bible became more specific about demons

    • @jaredjamesgough
      @jaredjamesgough 3 года назад +4

      You are right. However I don't believe Steven is saying that every instance of the word Satan is not Lucifer in the old Testament. Just that we assume every time the word Satan is used that it is referring specifically to Lucifer. The work of Michael Heiser helps clarify some of these things.

    • @charissa6648
      @charissa6648 3 года назад

      Yes, I agree. There is also so much warfare in the Old Testament, but I agree with Steven it appears peripheral.
      I do not believe there is an agenda. I just believe thats how he was taught, and who knows maybe he is right on some of it. I would have to prayerfully study again. But Job was a typology of Christ and satan did afflict him. There is also the Moab King who sacrificed his son for power, and he gained power and pushed back Israel. There is Saul, the prophet Milcah I believe is his name who saw a vision in heaven and reported back to Ahab. Then in Genesis the Lord speaks about the goat demons, and the Psalms, Zechariah etc. I agree with him that spiritual warfare is more explicity spoken about in the new Testament, but I believe the strategies are the same throughout the Bible. King David used the same weapons we do, as is evidently seen in Psalms.

    • @lindajohnson4204
      @lindajohnson4204 2 года назад

      The Donatists of North Africa were the first Christians recorded, who celebrated Christmas on the 25th of December, back in the 200's. They apparently concluded that Jesus's death would have been at the same day of the year as His conception, and December 25 is nine months from that day in the year of His birth. After Augustine persecuted and killed the Donatists, for disobeying the will of Rome, refusing to accept an apostate back as their leader, he wrote that their celebration of Christmas on December 25, instead of that holiday about Mary on January 6, was another reason he was right to kill them. Christmas, as a whole, has pagan elements, but the whole is made up of many parts, and some are very godly and testify of Jesus Christ to unbelievers. The Christmas carols tell about Jesus coming into the world, "to save us from our sin, when we had gone astray". They talk about Jesus as the Savior, "the dawn of redeeming grace". It hurts me that people, who think they are being pure, don't care to use what's left of an opportunity to use these _Christian elements_ of Christmas that actually testify of Jesus. My family were not big churchgoers, and I heard that Jesus was the Savior, to (somehow!?) save us from our sin, from Christmas carols. It makes me feel that not wanting to use those godly elements of Christmas, to tell people about Jesus, is perhaps less godly and pure than they think it is. It is definitely not caring about non-churchgoers, or their children. It is barely still possible to use Christmas carols to tell people about Jesus, but while it is, I'm not buying the propaganda that Christmas is all about paganism. I think it comes more from _Zeitgeist_ than it does from the Bible.

    Paul's thorn in the flesh isn't sicknesses and isn't God's tool to make Paul more dependent on Him. Instead it's the persecution by people as directed by Satan and it's Satan's desire to keep Paul from rising in influence... But God's grace is sufficient to neutralize both.
    Not to be conflated with the unforgiving servant and his resulting torment. Paul wasn't given a thorn in the flesh (by Satan) because of his unforgiveness.

      I think sometimes those things are necessary. Weed would certainly be better than a benzodiazepine for seizure disorder. I am coming off five years of Benzo use for anxiety after being saved and it is no joke. Also was on opiates for 2 years after a bad car accident and almost a dozen surgeries. I wasn’t saved then but even if I was there would be no way to make it without them with all that pain. However, I don’t think they’re great for your mind spiritually. Not at all. I have chronic pain now but try to manage with ‘natural’ remedies. I hate weed so that’s not even an option lol. It’s a struggle. But I know all will be worth it to be with the Lord and be pain free with Him for eternity 🙏

    36:09 I think some times we read scripture and elaborate too much on something we can just use our God given common sense. If we come home from work and get plastered everyday it ain't so good. If we go out to get smashed every weekend no good. Once in a while, and some times at weddings should be okay to get a little buzzed. Even if you drink once a year you shouldn't be getting drunk until you're incapacitated anyhow. We all know this in our hearts. Once you start rationalizing in your head for more that's when you need to check yourself.

      The Bible says "they overcame him (the "Accuser": the devil) with the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony". I believe that means our testimony of Jesus Christ, not our personal story, although how the word of God applies to our personal story is, of course, important. And I believe that "word of our testimony" means the word of God, but also how it has been used so far in our life to bring us through what we've had to go through.

      You are beautiful, unique, gifted, and beloved. Your fathers rejection of you truly had nothing to do with your value, but with his ability to love.
      Jesus was rejected when He walked the earth and He is perfect, kind, Holy, compassionate, fully obedient, the Creator, love, Truth and so much more than I could even articulate.
      He understands your suffering and He will never reject you. He created you with purpose and value, and your identity is forged in eternity with Jesus. Lose your life and you will find it. Lose your life in Christ and let the former things pass away.
      Depending on when we come to Christ, many of us spend a half of a lifetime broken, rejected, unloved, neglected, and sinful. We develop thought patterns and beliefs and practice them for years. The truth is satan used those who were to love you so deeply; to attempt to steal your identity. However, Jesus created you, and made you new when you were born again. He will make you whole, because He conquered sin and death and overcame the works of the devil!
      Ask the Lord to tear down those strongholds and to show you your responsibility in response to His Spirit working. I understand what your going through, and I believe when you seek after Christ and follow after Him; than you will be made whole. Love you
