- I tested the limits of damage reduction in Skyrim by setting my health to 1. Here are my findings. Special thanks to @MittenSquad and @thespiffingbrit for allowing me to use clips from their videos, which are linked below:

Yeah I mispronounced draught, sorry it won't happen again.
unwatchable
I started watching and was like "Ok this should be good" and when you said "but you can actually reach 1hp legitimately" I threw my hands up in the air in an expression of "just when I thought this guy couldn't impress me any more...". Great video!
Happy to impress and amuse!
love the "terms and conditions" explanation of the giant's damage 😆😆😆😆😆
this build is soooo awesome!
I'd been wanting to theorycraft a character with 1 health, no magicka, no stamina for a while but couldn't find a way to make it decent on legendary, but there you did it!
It really is just decent, using it normally is pretty annoying since you have to wait 24 hours to get berserker rage and SoP back. Not to mention that their duration is so low. But if your opponent is weak enough that you don't have to use them, it's not that bad.
@@Sickliff I wouldn't expect a 1 HP character to be OP anyways 😅
Unless there was some sort of glitch that boosted your damage the less health you have
@@hungrystork7252 Damage is almost never an obstacle, depending on how far you're willing to go.
This is how Skyrim was meant to be played
I just learned that you can do esberns quest while also keeping paarthurnax alive. Amazing
I was looking at Dragon Infusion on UESP and saw the bug there. I almost couldn't believe it, but testing in-game confirmed it.
Spiffing Brit wishes he had the hours in Skyrim to understand what the hell you just did.
😅dooooood.no hate on the brit but this do be true lololololol sickliff you are the MOST underrated skyrim related channel.... but
Thank you man. The power of P.E.E. courses thru my veins
I knew that equipping armor pieces gives an inherent amount of damage reduction regardless of armor rating, and that you could equip multiple sets of armor at once with werewolf shenanigans, but never thought they would stack.
I had always assumed it was based on the armor slots that were occupied, but testing showed otherwise.
casually showing a way to keep Paarthurnax alive
I can imagine a build that is based around Using Unrelenting force on an opponent and then taking all their shit from them, then killing them
Dude PLEASE keep making videos like this cuz I’m infinitely entertained
You Always come Up with the most awesome videos, Keep em comin!
Thanks, will do
Your vids are goated keep up the good work
Appreciate ya 🙏
Congratulations, you created sans in vanilla skyrim, just add an enchated wooden sword so you can say you technicaly sorta deal 1dmg a hit.
*Sans 1atk 1def
*The easiest enemy
*Can only deal 1 damage
I'm a new subscriber. Going to watch all your videos. Thank you for making them and I will try to bump them with youtube algorithm
Hey thanks! Welcome to the cult of Hermaeus Mora.
Honey wake up sickliff posted a new video
youtube did it’s gem recommendation every blue moon, this was next level
Glad you liked it!
So, you basically play as the Pokémon Shedinja: immune to everything except for killmoves. I love this concept.
Lol these videos are amazing, subbed!
Great video, pls make more
I will

You`ll be Feim, get it?
I love the "you'll be feim" at the end
it didnt know become etherial could be used when a kill move is already happening? Also i really dislike that my characters armor rating isnt considered when a kill move os taking place, it always made berserk, and dragon flesh spell feel stronger
It can't be used when a killmove is happening, only beforehand so you prevent it in the first place.
Have you tried drinking fortify destruction and grabbing atornach perk? If fortify destruction is at 235% or above and you take atornach perk in the alteration skill tree when the potion is active you get a 100% chance of absorbing all magic and would take 0 damage from any magic attacks. The drawbacks of this is that you will absorb your own conjuration spells and would be unable to summon anything.
Yes, I've done that before. The reason I didn't include it in this video is because it's inconvenient to activate/deactivate. Using the standing stone allows us to stack our armor without having to level alteration every time.
@@Sickliff to be fair, leveling alteration is very easy once you get telekinesis since it levels to 100 instantly if you have secret of arcana active and fast travel with it, or just gear that reduces alteration cost.
@@WomanSlayer69420 Overleveling can be problematic though, it's best to keep it simple
@@Sickliff Is it really? You don't have to put points into health no matter your level.
@@WomanSlayer69420 I mean in terms of enemy scaling
6:35 is there a way to use the giant club? I downloaded a follower mod and he picked up the club and dealt a lot of damage to the enemies, for some reason I can't really remember the game didn't let me take it, I think it said the item was too heavy to carry or something like that
Giant Clubs aren't visible in the inventory due to them not being marked as "Playable." So as of now, only followers can pick up the few that are placed in the world.
I think all you need is a fortify resto and the lord stone.
So cool man
Ahh just like Shedinja!
Now I need sturdy
Nice to meet you!
My name is Mu and I am a Japanese Skyrim player.
I didn't know that Fus and Yol have recovery effect.
I also learned from your video that Agent of Dibella is effective against creatures.
I am thinking of making a video introducing a build using them.
In that case, may I mention your video as a reference source?
Yes, you may! Please show me your video when you're done :)
@@Sickliff Thank you very much!
I will let you know when it is completed!
Is there a way to get two lurker vindicators as a dead thrall?
Soul Tear and The Ritual Stone are the only reanimate spells that can raise Lurker Vindicators, and neither of them are affected by Fortify Conjuration potions. So I'd probably say no for now.
@@Sickliff Guessed as much... I had an idea for a build. Something like a Champion/priest of Hermaeus Mora. Would have been pretty bad-ass to have two of those guys with you.
You can actually do this with Bittercup by duplicating it with the duplication glitch. However you need to increase magicka and stamina with enchanted gear so that your health is the lowest attribute. Make a piece of enchanted gear with fortify 1 health and don't take it off (or you'll die during the next part because I'll have 0 health) then drink 5 Bittercups to get 1 health.
It's impossible to enchant gear with a Fortify Health of exactly 1 point. There's a decimal that you can't see when using a petty soul gem.
Why didn’t you use the Divine crusader heavy gear and light gear together? And same question with the dawnguard light/heavy armor? Wouldn’t that give even more damage reduction?
No, they use the same perk to give the damage reduction
@@Sickliff BTW, I’m curious about wether or not you could cheese some parts of this with the fortify restoration glitch, like making a looped Daedric shield with a fortify block enchant, I know it would only equal 85% damage reduction regardless, but it’s an option.
How exactly killmoves work? They ignore all damage reduction?
From what I understand they don't ignore damage reduction, but many enemies deal enough damage to trigger a killmove anyway. Especially if you don't have all of your buffs active. I don't think the attack that triggers it necessarily has to deal enough damage to kill you.
@@Sickliff As far as I can tell I've seen Kill Moves trigger with about 2.0x damage give or take.
It is why I run a mods that disable those because it is basically a random animation locked critical hit that does little more then randomly punish the player.
when you love math and gaming
Cool story bro, irrealistic, but cool either way.
Honestly this could be a decent build
This made me wonder, can you ever stack enough magic resistance to survive spells until you get permanent100% absorption since that seems like the obvious way to do a 1 hp run? Now that I think about it, you probably wouldn't even need it if you got impact.
Well, you can get 85% magic resist and 85% elemental resist, plus 50% elemental resist from Elemental Protection (it stacks separately), and 50% destruction magic resistance from Secret of Protection. So the lowest you can get is 0.5625% damage from elemental spells. The Dawnguard set bonus also reduces the damage from Vampiric Drain by 25%, so you would take 5.625% damage from that.
Instead of Magic resistance you can stack Magic absorption, atronach Stone with atronach perk from alteration skill tree, while Also choosing breton as your race and becoming a vampire with the necromage perk from restoration skill tree.
@@Sickliff you can negate 100% of magic damage if you take the atornach perk in alteration skill tree while having a fortify destruction buff of 235% or higher.
If you reach 1 health by using the fortify resto potions would that mean you need to keep drinking them in order to stay at 1 health?
No, the strength will stay the same until you unequip the armor. You also must equip it while under the effects of the potion, drinking the potion after you equip it will do nothing.
The spirit of the "1 hp challenge" is about not getting hit.
Getting hit and surviving somehow kills the spirit of the challenge.
@WhiteEagleRevenger You make really good points. Yeah, I agree that it needs to be renamed into something a bit more accurate.
To be honest, this video is WAY more interesting than the "no damage" challenges. I love the way that it gets into the meat of the mechanics as opposed to being a quick load challenge.
Draught is pronounced draft. Just like the gh in cough.
Yeah I learned that later
Awesome information. But man those kill moves are BS. they shouldn't be able to so that on you
You must be playing a different version of Skyrim.
