This is refreshing to hear what the Gospel was. My thoughts exactly and nice to know I was not alone.

I think the kingdom of heaven is within is truly the good news, and always was, and always will be. I think that teaching is truly radical and also a profound truth.
Another of his parables that I think has been purposely obscured is the good samaritan.
It's taught as a story about loving thy neighbour, but it's actually about religious bigotry preventing spiritual growth.
The priest and the levite do not help because they are on the way to the temple, they are ritually clean and so they will go nowhere near the man who has been attacked, because the blood and filth will taint them and they will not be clean enough to be in the presence of God, according to their religious dogma.
The Samaritan is still descended from the tribes of Israel, but he is not fooled by the temple teaching because he rejects it and follows only the Torah.
Therefore, the Samaritan is able to show mercy and compassion and help the man in need, which is good and proper.
The priest and levite, conditioned by their bigotry, ignore the suffering and leave the man, potentially to die in the dirt, all because they seek a spiritual reward and not loose standing in their religious community, and to leave a person in the dirt to die is wicked and evil.
So much of Jeshuas' teachings were about challenging the hypocritical and hateful ways of organised religion, and instead, he pointed to direct spiritual awakenings and actions.
No wonder Christian biggots hate that this teaching is being re-revealed.
They still hold onto a bible in which he says Why do you call me Lord yet you do not do what I command?
He threw the money lender out of the temple and now we have mega churches with cash machines in the foyer to both celebrate and ignore the fact. They are the very same hypocrites he spent his whole ministry speaking against.
But that's just my opinion, and each to their own
Great video BTW, really concise and well written. ❤
