Your method is how I do mine too, they just seem to pop up more that way. I do mine all at once, if I have the time. It seems like I have lots of splits, and they happen frequently too. That makes me sad. I don't use heat, I'm gentle, I wear it up a lot. I use oils. Your hair is such a beautiful color, and shiny and healthy!
Gorgeous hair. I’m going to start doing this. I want my hip length hair back. Not had it in a while. I also want fairytail ends rather than a blunt end for the first time in my life. Can’t wait to feel like a princes
Naturally Antonia ok so I did this yesterday. I have a question, if a hair is tapered rather than a blunt end, should you cut it assuming it was a split and one side of the split broke off? I have a lot of new hair that’s grown and it’s all tapered... is it all damage am I missing something? Anyhow besides this glitch it was such a thoroughly an enjoyable experience and can’t want to do it again in a few months time 🙈
@@emacwakeupIf the hair is tapered but feels strong you could leave it be, but if it feels fragile I would cut the tapered ends. For instance I have some tapered hair like that around my neck and even front of my face, I think for me it's a combination of new growth and damaged pieces. the damaged pieces feel brittle, the baby hairs I usually leave alone. Glad to hear you had a good experience otherwise :)
Great video! I find these ''s and d'' techniques quite useful since I am growing out my hair (currently it's BSL) and I want to retain as much as length as possible. My hair type is pretty similar to yours, and I am so glad to finally see a youtuber that has finer hair, and yet can grow beautiful long hair. Btw, I bought tangle teezer about 2 months ago, and I can notice a lot less split ends. It works great for finer hair since, as you probably know, it gets tangled easily. :)
Thank you so much! And BSL is a lovely length, that's great you are growing yours out too. :) I will be doing some videos on specific hair care geared towards us fine haired ladies oily prone hair ladies. Yes fine hair tangles easy and its a struggle when you have a lot of hair because it likes to catch on other hairs, but with proper care as you know it's so worth it.
@@naturallyantonia You're welcome! :) I'm looking forward to your videos! I always wanted to see how long my hair can get (I remember my dad telling me my that great-great grandmother had floor length hair!) so I want to grow it as long and healthy as I can. I use a natural boar bristle brush before going to bed, since my hair is prone to dryness and it helps distribute the oils from scalp to ends, and it gets out the dirt as well (so I can wash my hair only once a week). BTW, I voted for you few days ago on Instagram long hair art competition. Rock on! :D
Love this method to keep my hair in better health, I do it your way, the briad, and twist I have wavy cruly hair and I have to do it every other day because I always miss some and then I see it and have to cut it but it is worth it 😉 love your videos 😍
Yes I know that it is very useful to remove the split ends, but I think that it is much better if you will turn your hair on itself until the ends. It is easier to cut the split ends so.
Another great video. Keep enjoying your length. As you know, my girlfriend and I have very long hair too that is beyond floor length. As much as we love it, we can only wear our hair down at home. We have to bun it or braid it and loop it up if we go out. Have we become hostages to our hair's length? Who knows. We have talked about cutting but it makes us very nervous. Oh, well. Good luck with your continued growth. Does your husband or boyfriend support your hair journey? Does he like your hair?
Thank you! Wow that is truly impressive beyond floor length! I can imagine at that length it is a challenge to wear out in public. I usually wear my hair in a braid or bun to work, but I love to wear it down at home or with friends and family. Aw if it makes you nervous don't cut. My boyfriend does support me. He has short hair but appreciates my long hair and knows I am growing it out. It's always nice to have a partner support you in what you do.
@@naturallyantonia Thanks for the advice. We do both do not want to cut our hair but do you think thete is a point where it may be too long? We already have rude friends and relatives tell us we need drastic hair cuts (especially me). But the thought of losing any of our length is scary.
@@larsrapunzel6323 Hmm...great question. I think "too long" is all a matter of perspective. Some people think my hair is "too long" which I really love my hair length. My hair does not interfere with my life and is easy to care for. I don't think past floor hair length is too long per se, I think it's beautiful, but you certainly do not want to feel tied down by your hair, both literally and metaphorically. Perhaps you could always trim or cut back to ankle/floor length. I'm not sure if my hair is capable of growing past the floor and now that I think of my active lifestyle I'm not sure I would want to grow past my ankles, but you never know, I may decide to keep on growing. At some point if I ever do a significant cut I would donate to help out children, but that is many many many years down the line. I love my length right now, and I would not want it any shorter. Like for instance maybe I will grow it all the way to the floor, see what it is like and then cut it back to knees or where it is now. Only time will really tell. Right now I love my hair length and am having fun growing it longer and longer. Do what makes you and your girlfriend happy. So to answer your question "long' and 'too long' are both relative, it depends on your lifestyle and your perspective. Personally I think super long hair is very cool, and beyond floor length is a big accomplishment!
@@larsrapunzel6323 I also think that there will always be negative people out there, but again if long hair brings you joy continue to grow it out. I would never cut it just to please anyone. I'm all for trims, but I wouldn't do any thing drastic. I mainly get compliments but have gotten some back handed compliments and a couple trolls, but at the end of the day it's my hair, and my decision. In life we must do what our passions are, what brings us joy, and if you believe in a higher power, what you feel connects you higher.
You have incredibly beautiful hair! You could always work as a Pantenemodel ;-)! It would be nice if you make more videos, for example different Bun Styles (Business Style or Messy Buns with Basecaps or something). That would be great to see!
morpheus20122403 Aww that is so sweet! Thanks! It's a dream of mine to be in a hair commercial or do an ad with a big company! And yes I can do bun tutorial requests. ☺✌
I want to see how long it will grow while still looking healthy. Don't have a set goal but just having fun growing it out. I'm at upper thigh now, so my next mini goal is mid thigh/fingertip length.

Thank you Kathy! Yes unfortunately splits are inevitable no matter how gentle we are, especially the longer our hair gets :)
