His father was one of my best friends, his name was Ron Artis Sr. Ron Sr. father played the organ for Ike & Tina Tuner. Ron Sr wrote some music with Michael Jackson. He had 11 children with his 2nd wife. He was an artist & one of the best keyboard/piano players I had ever seen or heard. All his children where home schooled. He & his wife who is a beautiful singer had their own family band with their children playing all the instruments. He passed away a few years ago I believe in 2010. His band was called Ron Artis & the family band. He has some really cool videos youtube. He & his wife are African-American. I think his son Ron Artis II is perhaps the most talented of all the children. He wrote a song after his father died called the "Lord has got me". He also has another song he wrote called "before we go". He toured all around the world this year. Jack Johnson lives in our town & Ron opens for him & his buddies like Ben Harper, & a couple of others I can't remember at this moment. I'm really hoping & praying you get a major label Lamont, but don't sell out if you know what I mean. Look what happened to Dave Chapelle he walked away from 50 million, because his mother is a female preacher & college professor. Yes he smokes a little weed but he had a good up bringin, & for the most part he is a christian & family man. I look up to people who will not accept & not worship Satan/Lucifer & sell their souls for fame & fortune. I use to be a big fan of Joe Rogan also, because he a truther, & called it how he saw it, but did a complete 180 because the shot callers who control, hollywood (wood of the holly stick), the media & the major labels in the music industry told him he couldn't speak down to them or about them regardless if it was the truth or not.
