It January in Ohio Weather in the 30to 40 range I have garage to do the install but have to move vehicle back out into cold air after doing install I can leave it in there for a few hrs but not 8 hrs Should I wait for warmer weather?

The airbag cover is completely optional to use or not to use. Some customers want it and others do not use it. In test we have done, the cover on the airbag does not affect the deployment of the airbag.
In Texas, the heat can get up to over 120 degrees inside the vehicle in the summer. How does that effect the silicone? Is it made for extreme hot weather to keep it from smearing with time?
Yes, the silicone adhesive we send with our dash covers is formulated to handle the extreme conditions that can occur like Texas heat. Also our dash covers come with a limited lifetime warranty if you do have an issue.

Do you have any clear pics of the overlapped portion on each side? That seems to be missing on all the pics. To me that’s the most important part, to see how it blends into the old dash.

My truck has the speaker grill in the center of it. When I went onto your website the image that the site provided didn’t show the speaker grill will it come with that provision?
You will need to order the 18-207SC (in the color you choose) so you'll have the provision for the speaker. So black for example would be: 18-207SC-BLK
If there are small loose pieces on the cracked dash, they can be removed before the new dash cover is installed. It should help with the rattling if installed correctly.

So what if your blend door actuator goes bad under the air bag. Youll have to take the whole dash apart now. Looked like it covered part of the original air bag cover.
The one I bought does not fit like that . You have to physically hold it down so it won't pop up. I was thinking heat gun a little to form it better so it lays down better. But do not leave in one spot to long or it will melt....lol

No more rattling! If there are any pieces of the dash that are free floating we would ask you just take that piece out. Other than that, the existing cracks would not cause a rattling anymore, the provided silicone adhesive will hold the dash to the cover to prevent that as well as any other cracking.

You do need a portion of the dash to attach our dash cover to via the silicone adhesive, but we have had many customers attach these with large portions of their dash missing with success.

We only offer this in a two piece combo to best fit the two piece original dash and vent. This gives you the flexibility to install both pieces independently of one another.
This does not work for Yukon Denali and others models with Bose System which has the center channel speaker in the center of the dashboard. Also, this blocks the passenger side air bag from properly deploying. If service is required which requires dash removed you will destroy the cover sands have to purchase a new unit. Beware.
Thanks for reaching out. Actually if you have a Yukon or other model with the center speaker, you would order our 18-207S - where S is for the speaker in the dash. When you put in your vehicle in our fitment portion of the website it will give you this option. We also have provisions in the dash cover that allow the airbag to deploy properly. If our customers do have to remove the dash cover for service, we will warranty out the dash cover and send a new. one. These dash covers can be removed using a hair dryer to reheat the silicone adhesive and then the cover can be lifted off. Thanks again.
I figure as cheap as it is there will be a price to pay when and if something goes bad and you have to remove it. BUT the other choice right now is to go and get a new dash and have it installed.........the dash itself is $500 probably at least that to put in. Worth every Penney if its a good fit I would think??

GM disappointed me the last two gen SUVs they put out are straight trash 👎 interior has no effort put into the design or quality smh the only thing is good that they kept the 5.3
If GM quit making junk dashes without a solid shell, there would be no need for this.

If there are small loose pieces on the cracked dash, they can be removed before the new dash cover is installed. It should help with the rattling if installed correctly.

Will the air bag function as normal ?
We add the cut out in our dash cover so that it will not restrict the airbag deployment.
Would that piece coming off be dangerous if the air bag had to deploy?

We actually made those but any weighted bag would work - its basically a sand bag.
