138 HP @ 1480 RPM ! Low RPM makes the difference. The story with the interior, beyond its great lay out, materials and midsized car dimensions, is its quietness. It is very quiet. Much time spent on that by GM. Optional Pioneer sound system that is noted as best in class. 10 air bags standard Huge trunk (mentioned) Wide stance. Great handling with sophisticated suspension. etc.. Gotta sell what makes it so much better than the competition. Plenty attributes to sell. Get with it.
@2004NissanSentra I agree with that on most fronts. In terms of competitors, I recently got to take a video and a test drive of the 2011 Nissan Juke with the 1.6L Turbo I-4 and it was surprisingly good. Not to mention that I adore the ECOBOOST engines. Although Ford won't offer the 2.0L ECOBOOST 4 cylinder until late this year into next year, and into 2012 with the new Focus.
@SuperR1991 42 is on the Cruze Eco. It has the same engine but it is a 6 speed manual with special tires, wheels, and front aerodynamics. The gears in the manual are also stretched to get the better gas mileage.
@2004NissanSentra On the terms of Chevrolet having more options, I'm kinda inclined to disagree. This is not a luxury car, but I do like to have some nice things like nav and heated seats, and this car does just fine. Price wise, I would love to see the Cruze LTZ be a bit cheaper, but with today's economy with the gas prices the way they are, I'm really not surprised.
The elantra achieves 40 mpg without a special package. To have 43 mpg in a cruze you have to lose amenities. I do like the cruze. I'm just frustrated that it should be cheaper to be more competitive with the elantra. Fords and chevys are overpriced.
@2004NissanSentra IT IS BY FAR OVERPRICED! IT GOES TO 25 TO 28 THOUSAND DOLLARS IF YOU FULLY LOAD IT ON IT'S SITE! It's a COMPACT CAR! It should NEVER reach the price of a FULL SIZED CAR!
I'd be more inclined to buy one if it had two doors and wasn't so expensive. It costs too much for what you get like the camaro. The elantra limited has nearly the same features plus some the LTZ doesn't have with better warranties and gas mileage at a cheaper price......23-24000. The focus titanium (overpriced as well) is better than both cars.
This is highly classy compared to the past lot. A coupe version will be sick!
thats an awesome car, i think it one of chevys best ever made vehicles
I Love the New Startup and Splash Screen on the Cruze, because it shows the Bowtie in All Its Majesty!
seems like a pretty cool car for replacing the cobalt.
Thanks for posting! I've been waiting to see one of these! Nice!

@talldude123 Yes I do believe you get power windows, locks and mirrors.

@johndeere6780 I'm not sure, but that is one thing you should as Chevrolet. I think it would be a sweet idea!
@talldude123 I think this car debuted in Asia and Europe last year... I know it was already available in Mexico late last year.
