- Looking over the shoulder of a train driver on the route from Apeldoorn to Enschede.
We travel with the slow train and it has starting problems at Apeldoorn station, due to an operating error on my part, the train does not want to run. The problem is quickly solved and we have a nice ride through a sunny landscape that is still full of autumn colors.

Weer een mooie video. Dankjewel Meester Paul. Ik vind het enorm mooi en goed dat je zo kalm kunt blijven tijdens het vetrek. Ik bkeef door jouw kalme stem ook rustig. Hulde. Ook hulde aan de vriendelijke conducteur. Ik word snel nerveus als ik in de trein zit en er gebeurt iets wat onverwacht is.

At some of the stations, but not all, there is a sign with a "V" on it and a light above it. What's the purpose of this?
It's a departure ("vertrek") signal. It's an extra aid for conductors to know the train can depart because they sometimes cannot see the main signal from the platforms.

Hallo Thomas, leider darf ich die Strecke Richtung Glanerburg nicht befahren. dieses video wurde tatsächlich auf einem abschnitt der ic enschede nach amsterdam aufgenommen.
Thanks for a great ride. You do a different route, pretty well, to Machinist Stefan and Vincent on Cabview Holland. Saw some more of those little blue and white trains and some of a different colour, the same style in the yard in one place. At Almelo we almost caught that young couple in their kiss...just missed it, lovely. The train picture on the corner of your video, what is that? An older style? Thanks, Paul, is it? thank you Geoffrey, I actually just missed the kiss. the photo is a train that I rode a lot at the beginning of my career and now use in the video to prevent abuse. You to a happy newyear.
@@meesterpaul2 Vincent on Cabview Holland actually picked up some of those little blue and white trains I normally see only on your videos. He might have been in a near region to where you do your shifts? Cheers.
@@geoffreymoore1510 Those are 'blauwnet' trains (blue net) which are operated in the province of Overijssel. It's a collection of regional lines. There's some info on it online if you're interested.
