Hey bud you can only do what you can, Just do your best and don't Quit. Deal with yourself and your family first. I have been going through something similar for about 4 years, back in 2014 I started a complete transformation it took me about 3 years to go from 459 pounds to 340 pounds. In 2016 the lost of my father and a chain of events totally derailed me completely. I am glad that you are on a positive path now, we're all thrown curve balls in life but we have to stay strong and not lose focus and don't quit. Glad to see you back posting. Thanks for all the video's I really enjoy them.

A great message. I dealt with depression for most of my like. It was consuming. Like became a serious issue. I always just tried to do what you did. Tuff through it it’ll pass. After 30 years of dealing with it and anxiety I was breaking down mentally and didn’t even know why. All I knew was how I felt. My wife after begging me to go see the doctor saved me. If it wasn’t for her I’d would have never went. Your exactly right. My doctor knew exactly what I’d been dealing with. Gave me a lite medication that has no side effects and I feel nothing from the medication other than I don’t get really far down anymore. If anyone is dealing with anxiety or depression it’s a chemical in balance in your brain that’s very treatable but ya can’t get treated if your stubborn like I was for 30 plus years.

Outstanding video, one of the hardest things to do as a man is to put yourself out there, we don't want people to think we are vulnerable so we hide our feelings , I've struggled with depression my entire life , i never wanted my wife, children and friends to think I was weak , letting go of that mentality was hard and it took a long time, glad to see you are doing so at a much younger age , looking forward to your videos , you were the first youtuber I started watching , tight lines brother

I can relate. I lost my 22 year old son in Oct. 2019. He was my heart and I will never get over it. I get strength from God first,, thats the only way I can get through some days. Grief a part of my life now and forever and I have to deal with it every day. Your exactly right you have to strive to be the best you. You have to learn to put your feelings first and choose happiness over sadness. Thank you for your honesty cause alot of people are going through alot of hardships right now. You stay strong and put it all on God's shoulders. And remember, never lose site of God's blessings in our lives. Sometimes they are as big as the world, sometimes we really have to search to see them but I promise they are there. Look forward, deal with the now, and don't worry about what you can't control. Can't wait to see you back on You Tube catching some of those bigguns!!!!

I've been following you for a few years now and this is probably the best video you've put out, certainly the most important anyways. While I don't personally struggle with depression, my wife & others I know do or have in the past. It's definitely a real issue and certainly not something that's easy for anyone to talk about; particularly for guys. However, confronting it head on & being willing to talk about it, along with a strong faith, family, and good friends seems is key. Good luck & God bless you!

Great post man. It took me falling flat on my face and almost losing my family before I realized something had to change. My pride and thinking I can handle anything almost ruined my life. Looking back I thinks it’s the Lord’s way of breaking us down so we can submit more to Him and have a better relationship with him. I thank God and my wife so much for not giving up on me. Sorry to hear about your lost friends brother. I have almost the exact same story dealing with the depression and anxiety. Just powered through for almost 6 years of serious depression and suicidal thoughts until one day I hit a breaking point and decided to try and get help. Got on a low dose SSRI and it completely snapped me out of it within a couple weeks and I was kicking myself for not doing sooner. Just crazy to think I endured it for so long without trying to get help. Glad to hear you are on the other side of it now as well and thanks for sharing man. It can definitely help for people to hear this kind of message if they are struggling with a similar problem. 🙏

Man, this hit me in the feels. I found your channel and subscribed several months ago because I live 5 miles from Lake Chicamauga. I was disappointed that you weren't posting new videos as I'm just really getting into Bass fishing and I wanted to learn from someone on my home lake. In May of 2019 I lost my home to a house fire and the rebuild process was slow. I felt like I had to stay strong for my family, but I too turned to drinking to self-medicate. So this video really hit home. Just know I am praying for you and your family. And if you are interested in a loving church home that will walk with you through things like this, Christway community church in Ooltewah is amazing. My name is Robb and I work the soundboard in the back every other week. Come up and say Hi.

brother there's a lot of things I could say, but I'm not going to because I think everybody tries to find the perfect words to say to someone when they see someone else struggling or hurting, but they're never are any perfect words. as someone who just sought help for the first time in MY life for my mental state two weeks ago, I can relate a lot to what you're saying! I've been needing to see someone for a long time for a lot of reasons, but if for nothing else, just to sit in front of a stranger and let things out because I know that they could never be repeated and I knew that person couldn't post any judgement on me because they don't know me personally.. and I could just get everything off my chest and off my shoulders, things I've wanted to say, feelings that I've felt, feelings that I've held back, all kinds of things! I finally hit my point too where I needed to see someone and I finally saw someone two weeks ago.. I'm telling you right now I walked out of that office feeling like a different person just because I let a lot of it OUT... did it fix everything? absolutely not! did it make me a different person? yes and no! Did it help? ABSOLUTELY!! will I continue to do it? ABSOLUTELY!!! And to anyone else who sees this, there is no shame whatsoever in saying, "you know what, I need a break.".. you can only help so many people before you start to run thin, you got to be able to take care of yourself before you can take care of anyone else! Not just physically, but emotionally and mentally too.. There's no problem or nothing wrong with needing someone to talk to no matter what's going on in your life!!! I commend you for making this video though, I know that couldn't have been easy because once you put something on the Internet it's on there forever.. and that's a very personal thing to put out there.. nothing but respect for you for doing it! I just wanted you to know that you're not alone and this year is a new year!! just a chance to get back to our OLD SELVES but NOT our OLD WAYS!!! I wish the best for you my friend, tight lines always and if I find myself in Tennessee I promise I'll hit you up and try to find a body of water to fish.. I live in Alabama, My cousins n I try to come to Chick once or twice a year, if we make our first annual trip in the next month or two I'll hit you up on Instagram an see if you're available to come lean on a few with us! We usually take two boats so there's plenty room. Tight lines always good vibes!!

Much respect to you and thanks too, for sharing this with everyone. It takes a strong man to say and admit he is just human too. I hope everyone pays attention to this and it can help someone one. Mental and emotional health, affect not just the person who has it, but the whole family and their friends. I have seen more men this past year come to terms with that and get help and , on the flip side, I also have a friend who ended his life because he couldn't cope. I have always admired and respected you and Becka for your wisdom and how you are witb your family and life. I'm glad this didn't break you. Thank you again, so much, for sharing your n heart and helping others. You are a blessing in many people's lives.

The timing on this video was perfect it’s funny how god knows us and each of our little Kwirks and stuff and puts the right people in the right places perfectly so that it benefits everyone involved in a different but individually perfect way if that makes sense lol. I know I said perfect a lot there but it’s true. Well it’s true if we are paying attention to gods plan for our lives and can see the little things he does for us everyday.

Any tips you could give me as to where to try to fish it’s my first time ever fishing there and I’m by myself also where is a good boat ramp this time of year that’s still in deep enough water to launch? Dayton boat dock, chester frost, Blythe's ferry still have water on them... Wolfever should as well. There are some fish schooling in creeks on the mid and low ends of the lake. They seem to be a little deeper...12 to 20 ft... Some fish on main lake flats as well in the 4 to 8... Just gotta read where the current and wind is pushing the bait. Also, there are fish on the main river channel usually on swings and bends I sit deep and drift then cast shallow... Rigs, swimbaits, traps, blade baits, etc have been producing
