I’ve had at least two history teachers like this. But one of them still taught history that kept me engaged and passed the STARR test with flying colors.
I had a history teacher that was just there to coach basketball. People realized that they could literally copy and paste from Wikipedia for papers (leaving citation numbers in and everything) and he wouldn’t notice, so obviously he wasn’t actually reading them.
I had a history teacher freshman year that would just show up to school wearing Jordan’s sometimes. Dude was so cool, the workload was easy and he bonded with the students so well
My history teacher was exactly like this. A big sports fella who would be drawing the football formations on the board ,comparing it to some historical event, and then goes off topic about football for 10 minutes. Then every odd class or two he would say that "he is going down to the printer" but instead would go down to the gym and talk with the p.e teachers for half an hour. Steryotypes are always true in most cases.
My US History and Gov/Econ class was like that. Same teacher for both classes. We didn’t do work, tests, quizzes, homework, etc. all we did was talk conversations about non history stuff most of the time and watch movies that don’t have to deal with the class. SUPER EASY!
I'm from Europe, and I've had my own fair share of cool history teachers. However, this explains a lot why Americans can end up not knowing some things 😂
There are three types of history teachers: Those who are just there and are really popular with the students (like the one in the video), those who know their stuff a and are popular among the students and make the class engaging, and those who make history class a total snooze fest.
This was literally my history teacher in 9th grade. If we weren’t taking notes in class, we were either outside or watching a movie. One of the coolest teachers ever!👍
Probably my most favorite teacher of all time was my grade 10 history teacher, dude was nice, funny, good at teaching, and would sometimes walk around the class an do the craziest card tricks ever.
I had a history teacher back in middle school, and he was really cool. He'd tell us stories every day, it would be very easy for him to get off subject. His brother was actually one of the science teachers there as well. I had both of them that school year. 😁 I believe they both still teach there, but you never know. It's been about 10 years or so now.
Yup this is exactly my 7th grade and freshman History teachers perfectly 😂😂 one was the JH ladies basketball coach and the other was the JV football defense coach. Idk how he does this spot on. It's beautiful 😅
The one history teacher i had was,.one of the powerlifting coaches. He knew my step brother was part of the team and i lifted so, it was easy to distract him.
We have a history teacher who is the soccer coach and the girls basketball coach. We have him for History and a study hall and this is exactly how both those classes go.
My most chill teacher that i ever had was when i took my truck drivers education (im from Denmark) and the subject was English lol. He was so chill cuz me and my friend (yes we were 2 in the english class) we both didn't have to go to any exam so we watched Convoy the first english lesson. and after that we watched every Ice Road Truckers dvd's ( it had to be related to trucks since its a truck driver education)
I had a teacher like this IS145 in Queens NY. All he talked about was shark fishing. I don't remember if it was history class or science that's how bad it was.
This is literally my history teacher in a nutshell. He is the most chill teacher that I've ever had.

That’s so weirdly specific…yet true.
In my U.S. History class we watched Forrest Gump in segments over the year 😂
My US History teacher told us we already knew enough US History to pass the state test (new york) so we watched movies and talked sports for 180 days
Turn to Christ

Hilarious as usual! Underrated as hell. 😂😂😂
The smart kids always hated this type of teacher cause they genuinely wanted to learn but could not do anything 🤣🤣🤣
History nerds as well. If they wanted to learn, RUclips is always an option (Oversimplified, Armchair Historian, Brandon F., VTH, etc.)

The recruiting part is so true.
It’s always the history teachers that are chill. 8th-11th grade, that class was essentially a free period. God those were good times.
Every history teacher we had was chill, it's like they enjoy their jobs. One offered us a 10/10 on midterms if we just shut up in class.
this is literally my world history teacher lmao
I’ve never seen any of this guy’s videos, but I hope that’s his real accent.
He's slowly turning into Shane from the walking dead 😂😂😂😂😂

So, this is why people don't know anything about history, huh?

On this day February was only a little kid and she was 3 years old
