- The real silos remain in the same location if you restart game, so destroy them once to locate the fake ones, then restart. This will give u time to destroy the fighter in the first phase. I'm playing here on ace difficulty.

Trying to S rank this mission is rage inducing. Getting the missile silos down with 5mins left on the clock is fine, but I cannot seem to get enough points to get the S...
Do it like I did it, I new the location of the real silos because I tried and then restarted from checkpoint, then you will save time and can destroy the fighters and get extra points.

@@MrLospect I restart mission as I thought restarting from checkpoint loses time… restarting mission yields the same locations as first loading in.
Never thought to take down the planes. Great guide got it first try with an f35. I tweaked your tutorial a bit for myself and used gun automaton to get a few extra ground kills and I’d say it saved me. I had to retry a checkpoint at part 2 but it went smoothly.

thanks, bout to give this one a try. This, the nighttime mission, and 20 (have yet to even try) are the only ones left, but bunker buster has been frustrating. Just need to get the Ace and I should be money.
You need a fast enough jet, i actually recommend the CFA- 44 for most of the missions if you have it. The first half of the missions are pretty easy. Except faceless solider. Which is more frustrating then this mission. And the the next 5 missions after this one except for the mission where you have to shoot down MR. X are probably the most hardest given that you have to identify all the targets before shooting. And mission 20, i actually recommend a very fast but maneuverable jet like the F-22, CFA-44, and the X-02 and both ADF-11's in that mission its how fast you can shoot down hugin and munin. And how fast you climb out of the space elevator. I suggest turning off ground damage for most of these missions.
You only have to hit the real silos…. The three on the right side and the first two on the left from the starting position. Start on the right, you’ll get more done before the reinforcements come in and make it harder. Also… if you are on Ace mode and aren’t good with the guns…. You had better pick a fast plane and hit the spawned ace FAST and not miss. There isn’t enough time to miss, fire again, catch up to the IRBM hit it twice, reload and hit again before stalling at max altitude. The silos target change positions between ace and hard. I listed the ace above. On hard, I had to hit All 7 or 8 but had the darkstar to make up time and got them before the 4 minute mark was up
I'm using a MIG31 with speed specific parts. 10 time A, no S so far.

If any body reads, this dont refer any of the bomb locations in this mission. They do move around locations everytime you play. But they always mix around in the same locations. It is a gamble to every location if you dont know the bombing patterns. Im currently trying s rank all of these on hard, the difference between hard and ace, is on hard you have to get a certain amount of points very fast. Why the challenge is set on hard. The last like 6 missions in including faceless solider are the hardest missions to s rank even when they are on hard. But do keep in mind that s ranking on hard difficulty is the hardest challenge in the game. But if you manage to s rank all of them you do get a pretty bad ass skin for the F-22 . The skin you dont see very many players with. And i was told it earns you bragging rights because of how difficult the challenge really is. I have 5 missions left and they are the most rage inducing missions. More then this one. I think this mission here is speed over points TBH. But dont hold me to that.
Does anyone know why I’m not able to make it to the last bomb in time? Every time I go for it, it’s too high in the air already. I can’t pass this mission for nothing
This means you are not destroying the other missiles fast enough. Fire gun and missiles to saturate the target and destroy it fast enough, you can do it. It is all about time and it fast. See how I did it here in the vid. Also, dont forget to pick a fast jet.
Are those IRBMs carrying nuclear warheads or what ?
I somehow managed to S rank this while doing a no damage run.

Dafuq?? I cleared the whole level, i have 1 and a half minute left in the first period, finished the level with 27 400 points, and i have rank "A".
Why is this rank "S"?
I had 5+ minutes left in the first phase, you will not get S if it is less than 5 minutes, if I remember correctly. It is about time and speed, not score.

“Earning an S Rank on this mission requires earning a combined score and time bonus of 38,000 points or more.
The maximum time bonus available is 19,240 for completing the mission in a total of 7 minutes or less. This includes time spent retrying from the checkpoint. If the player can complete the mission in that amount of time, they only need 18,760 points from destroying targets in the mission itself to earn the S Rank.
If the player goes past the 7 minutes threshold, the time bonus decreases by 40 points every second, so the player must compensate by destroying more targets to hit the 38,000 point threshold.”
@@motox20 Honestly there is no need for that elaborate calculation, just try doing it with at least 5 minutes remaining on the counter, the rest of the points will be achieved by destroying the red targets, and the few sams that are too close to the silos, and the S will be yours.

Sooo if you restart by checkpoint in finding the real silos....it wont count against you?
I did it that way and succeeded. I also tried Starting a new game after locating the Silos and they were still in the same place.

Not only did I get a bunch of extra points, but I also got the same time as you on both parts, yet it still didn't give me S rank for some reason. And I'm on hard difficulty
Did you make any restarts during the game?
@@MrLospect The only restart I made was the restart at the beginning. That was after I discovered the Bunker locations, and I restarted to the checkpoint
I have no idea how to complete this mission... I can NEVER get there fast enough. I'm not exactly the most skilled player in the universe... mission 20 was HARD for me, still is.

I only have unguided rockets and it's telling me to drop bombs. Is ANYTHING explained properly in this game??
In this mission your plane is tasked with guiding missiles from B2s just make sure you center the drop position, listen carefully to the radio form the start of the mission and it shall explain briefly your task.
@@MrLospect Thank you. I couldn't work out what was going on. I'm figuring out that this game is nothing more than an arcade game pretending to be a serious air combat game and it's so filled with information, much of it useless, that it's hard to know what's important and what to ignore.
lol they explained it in length in the mission briefing
the bombers can't see the targets because of clouds yadda yadda so you have to pinpoint the location before they bomb it, and for this mission your special weapon will be replaced by the targetting device
anyone who claims this game doesn't explain its mechanics enough simply didn't read or skipped the briefing

It goes without saying: Don’t be the idiot that I was, by attempting to be cool by choosing the F-22. The F-35 is a LOT better for this task 😂😂😂
which plane is ideal for this mission?
X-02 Wyvern is among the best. The plane is super maneuverable which is what you need for this mission.
Are the active silos always the same?
the same if you restart without exiting mission.
@@MrLospect my issue is when I play the level to figure out where the real silos are then "restart from last checkpoint" the time keeps going.

@@MrLospect i find missions 1 and 18 and 3 the best im talking about anchorage and tailman and i dont the the first ones music i dont know of its actually first though on ps4 if you move down on it starts to play the bgm for one of them
