- Join the heroes of Avalice as they face their greatest challenge yet! An ancient terror has emerged from the depths of the ocean. Merga, a water dragon from Avalice's oldest and deadliest war, has been freed from her crystal prison as a consequence of the Kingdom Stone's destruction. War is imminent once again, but this time, the heroes are split between sides. As friendships are tested, will the girls stand united when Bakunawa rises?

Holy crap, 7 freaking years for one sequel.. That electronic jester yellow piss thing managed to make a whole trilogy during that time.
I’m glad this game finally came today, even if it’s one PC and Steam, but I also hope that this game comes to Consoles too, one of these days.
They're aiming to have it on consoles next summer.

Between this, Spark the Electric Jester 3, the Sonic Movie 2, and Sonic Frontiers actually looking good, it feels like 2022 is a good year to be a Sonic fan.
We could add Sonic and the Fallen Star and Sonic Triple Trouble 16-bit to that list.

Bennett return as Lilac, she’s become one of my favorite VAs thanks to performance as Kale in Dragon Ball Super, Dark Elf in Bikini Warriors (not for kids, very raunchy), Setsuna Tokage / Lizardy in My Hero Academia, Yunhua from Astra: Lost in Space, Sora in The Helpful Fox Senko-san and Sister Lily in Black Clover. ❤️
She's also directed the game's Voice Acting.

Oh my, I'm so hyped for this trailer, now I won't hesitate to try it, I like the first installment too much, it's sure to be the perfect example, that the sequels can surpass their first installment!

I'm still in the Torque and Spade waiting room. I don't care if you update the old game or simply make a Torque or Spade mode using what you've done in Unity. That way you can finally fulfill those final two stretch goals from the original game's kickstarter.
PS: I'm fully aware of the engine issues and the trouble you had, it doesn't change the fact that I'm still waiting and wish you luck.
Torque in the beta was like Gunstar Heroes on crack, with a touch of Mega Man X. Loved it.
i’ve been waiting on that dlc since i first found out about freedom planet. torque is my favorite character and spade also looks nice to play as. i just hope they figure out a way to finish it eventually.
Holy Hell! I was not paying attention to this game after the long silence. I was just watching a bunch of Nintendo Direct trailers and I see this. I think "Oh they releasing it for switch or something." Get to the end of the trailer and see it out now. Freaking almost broke my keyboard smashing the keys to purchase this game.

For the record Freedom Planet 2 is going to be a great game. Four heroines facing a new evil threat and villain and King Dail meet Neera for the first time and they will have a good relationship in the future next to Lilac and Torque when Lilac is an adult. Will see what happens.

Definitely excited to play this later. The first one’s still one of the best games of the 2010s, and this looks like a great follow up.
I first came to know about Freedom Planet 1 back in the summer of 2018, 4 years ago. For for years I have been waiting for this moment and now, I can literally feel all the patience that I had developed over those 4 years leave my body. And than I must realize that there are those who already waited for 7 years for this moment, the amount of patience that they had to build up must have even been much higher than mine.
It was too long man...FP was very special when I first played it early 2015 (I knew about it when it released, but wanted to wait till my mood was right before playing it cause part of me just KNEW the game had the potential to be very special to me...will probably do the same with this game...)
...like man, I remember first hearing about the team deciding to age up the characters by 2 years and even redesign them and I was taken aback cause of how much I liked the original designs...I didn't hate it per say but couldn't help but think "Is this really nessary?"
Now that its 7 years later its now strange to me that its ONLY 2 years that have passed! It would be weird to me if the characters haven't changed at all since then... (Nevermind the fact that despite being 27 years old I feel like a very different person compared to 20...in ways I would have never expected given that a good chunk of that was unfortunately spent going in circles sadly (I'm doing better now thankfully!))
First I wake up to an amazing Nintendo Direct, then I'm blessed with this beautiful release trailer!? This day just keeps getting better, thank you guys so much, I'm so excited to get to play this today!!

i remember attending the PAX South announcement so many years ago, and to have it finally release is so satisfying!
Some of the devs for Sonic Mania went to work on this game after Sega drove them off. Never change Sega.

The coincidence that this happened to be around the same time as the nintendo Direct makes it feel more official.

I really wish it was released on consoles day one (particularly PS5) but I understand why it had to be delayed till summer 2023. However that's not going to stop me from buying and playing it via steam because there's no way in *hell* I'm waiting until mid next year to experience this 2D action platformer masterpiece.
