20 something years ago I built one of these out of a MIM Squire. JB humbucker at the neck, string through the body, new tuners, neck profiled to about 10.5 radius with medium jumbo frets. A monster for almost any situation and still my go to for a session
Many thanks for the review John. I play mostly acoustic but wanted an electric to just mess around on without spending thousands on a Suhr or Fender and after visiting Slovenia earlier this year I thought that the Jet might be the one for me (I know they are built in China, ha ha). Loving the look of the Tele you are playing... it could be the one... the price point on these guitars is so good, but the quality seems to be that of a much more expensive guitar. Have subscribed mate, look forward to exploring your site.
Great demo of JT 350 Tele HS! Local shop in Vancouver has this exact model above for $600CAD and there's stiff competition at that price. Last fall I bought the teal color PRS SE Swamp Ash Special HSH on a factory sale for only $800CAD. The SAS has the 85/15S humbuckers plus the new for this model AS-01 single coil and does single coil tones nicely. Not sure there'll be a JT350 in my future at that price but I'll keep an eye out for sales.
Shout out to you and yours ...I've seen the PRS SE SAS..It's really nice and a steal of a deal L&M has them for around 1200..channel your inner Santana✌️
I said it during the unboxing video John and I'll say it again ; aye, this is my kind of guitar too 🤠 My new " Top Of The Shopping List " guitar, in fact 😎It's a beauty ! Just got to save a few quid ... or sell another guitar lol
John hi, any info on the pickup heights you used? The neck humbucker tends to dominate on mine unless I raise the bridge pickup quite high, which makes it a bit "biting". Great review of a very good guitar. Keep up the good work as your channel is well with subscribing to. Cheers
I've just got hold of one of these, exactly the same as yours John. I am astounded at the playability of this guitar. The frets on mine needed a polish but the actual fretwork itself is faultless. This really is one of the nicest necks I've played in a while. Unfortunately the person who did the wiring on mine appears to have wired it incorrectly. The middle position is out of phase. They must have been a Peter green fan. I really don't want to take it back because it plays so well but i don't have a clue how to wire it back into phase. 😢
It should just be a question of flipping the wires on one of the pickups. That's how you wire a pickup out of phase with another, so I guess that's what happened at the factory. Just swap the wires back the other way round. Can't hurt to try 👍
Been waiting on this one! A T style is the only main guitar type I don’t have and ive been hanging my nose over this exact model and finish for a little while. Might have missed this in the review but John can you comment on how well balanced the pickups are for volume? Can you switch between them reasonably seamlessly?
@@JRobsonGuitarmany thanks John! On a slight aside I’ll probably be purchasing your book in the very near future (which I need much more than a new guitar!!) it looks to have just the right info for my knowledge gaps.
hey brother, check out the S by Solar guitars... its the budget line for beginners, nice and affordable guitars. the Jet tele sounds like Fast Eddie Clark
Hi John, thanks to your video a bought one and I cannot believe the quality level for the money. However, I found the guitar has a pronounced neck dive. Does the same happen to yours?
Does anyone know the types of frets this guitar has - I have a Harley Benton LP copy which has 'chunky' frets and a strat shaped OLP guitar which has smaller frets (which I prefer) - sorry for non technical description!
Hello John, can I ask your opinions in terms of plusses and minors as if put up against the Fazley Coyote PLUS ? Obviously there’s a price difference to think about too; many thanks in anticipation
As said in last vid comments,I been playing this guitar for last 8 months,I have better guitars, but this one like my Epi SG & Shergold are so comfortable to play & sound great, value for money too

Love the chord progression in the Clean section 😎👌
Cheers for the shout out mate 🙏
So glad to hear this one is a keeper 😃
I have a surf green Jet js-400 Strat and it’s the guitar I play the most. Had my Fenders picking up dust. Amazing, amazing vfm and necks.

Cheers mate. I did back the neck pickup off a little 👍
Thanks John, I'll adjust the pickups a bit more and try to get a better balance to the neck pickup. Still loving the guitar though.

Nice demo John. Sounded good!
Wow, that guitar sounds great! Your playing doesn't hurt, of course.
I love Teles.
I have the JET JT-350 BK R - Black and it's an excellent player guitar. I've only had to tweak it a bit (basic setup). But it's a quality player.

A bit of a boost when you go to the humbucker but nothing unmanageable 👍

Not that I've noticed, mate.

Do you prefer the Jet over the Sire, thanks
In a word, yes 👍

Sounds good.

Close run thing. I think this one is slightly more "refined" in the way it feels & I'd say the stock pickups on this one beat the Fazley 👍
