c guitar solo has got to be the best in acoustic solo history....first class.❤
Backed by Earl Lindo on the keyboard it does sound incredible but it was a 50:50 solo between the 2 making it sound amazing
@markford4127 very true, Earl Lindo's solo too, made the 50:50 sound absolutely incredible, The Old Grey Whistle test always featured the cream of the crop in all genres of music.
That oooh ooooooh oooooooh ooooh from Peter Tosh sounds amazing 😭✌❤
Who’s still listening to this classic song in 2024?
Desde Ecuador !❤ 💚

Juicy Lucy is still listening in 2024 👍
I am. I was a HUGE fan in my late teens in the 70's of Bob Marley, still am. I had all his albums in vinyl. Lol .Going through a tough, serious illness, and I'm here reminiscing. My soul feels better, lighter, listening to his music. He had such wisdom. It saddens me to see all the divisiveness in the world today. He was truly a force for good. ❤
Still sounds as good as it did way back then. Irie!
September 2020 , I’m 18 years old and I will never stop listening to Bob Marley
Yo también sigo escuchando sua canciones.
Bro I started listening to Bob marley at your age now I'm 30 and I still can't get enough of him. Bob is a friend in spirit. He'll be your friend all the way.
Jah Bless!!!
Ha ha good lad keep listening I am at 55
I'm 13 and will never stop. I'm from jamaica BTW
Impossibly legendary lineup-rarely matched in the history of popular music🔥🔥🔥
1973 last week of August was my first trip to Negril I had just turned 17 went by myself. I remember listening to this over a horn speaker up on a telephone pole. This is my 50th anniversary and I have been living in Jamaica for the last 9 years. You see your dreams do come true at least mine did. Irie one love
40 years since his death. His music lives on forever. One love xxx
This song was on my boyfriend's tape as we cruised around our town. At 73 and 74 years old this is still on, my brother!

Absolute perfection
@@festussang9399 Sorry but that's not Peter Tosh, vocals may be live but the music is direct from the studio recording and the lead guitar was an american session musician.
And beat of the bass

Still watching this & have been since I first saw it live in 1973!
I'm old enough to remember when black recording artists in America played instruments. It doesn't get better than 60's-70's Motown and Reggae. And thank you Chris Blackwell, or we would never have heard The Wailers - The best of the best.
Ohh sweetheart' Long live.

The sound of this music is just spiritual and divine..

This song is one of those hidden gems that a lot of people with only a surface level appreciation of bob Marley miss and that’s a shame.

There is always that one fckng idiot in every video with "underrated" claim to well known and acclaimed music, movies, games, books, people.......

Peter and Bunny's backing vocals on this version give it such a smooth soul, even Motown-y vibe. Just not the same after they left

I was thinking the same thing, but Tosh was meant to do his own thing.
Let's not forget the Barrett brothers on bass and drums

Peter Tosh's solo at the end is *stirring* and many pple gushed over it in the comments but I'm also blown away by the fact that he low-key solos all the way throughout the song even as he's singing at the same time. His guitar is magic, the song is magic, the recording is magic -- so grateful to experience it
It’s not his guitar.
It’s the keyboard clav with a wah pedal.
the solo guitar was done by wayne perkins for this song

Nope
This solo is a keyboard.
Perkins played on the record.
It is a keyboard solo
@@kamandemwangi5271 You can still hear Perkins' guitar in the video occasionally. They remixed the studio version to remove the piano, organ, and most of the guitar, but there's some still left in the choruses.
Bob Marley is the only musical artist with a catalogue that I’ve never heard anyone say that they don’t like his music. There’s something Universal about what these guys were tapping into.

Nah
If you check the Concrete Jungle of the same session you can see that Peter’s “guitar solo” is actually a keyboard clav sound and just like here you can see his finger movements don’t match the melody.
They overdubbed it after.
