- 7th February a special day for Me... as I got the chance to have a real chat with Chitra Singh Ji Gazal Singer and wife of Gazal Maestro Late Shri Jagjeet Singh Ji... A day before the Ghazal Legend's Bday... (8th Feb is Bday of Jagjeet Singh Ji) Watch d video... a simple and touching chat....
Every word that Chitra said in praise of Jagjit is true . He was my neighbor . A perfect gentleman . A very loving father to his own son and chitra’s daughter and her children . I have seen him walk his grandchildren to school . I have seen him when he was a completely shattered man and when he put aside his own sorrows and kept singing . O’course this time his voice had more dard than before tragedy struck
I feel very bad, sad when I see dislike icon. What is there to dislike? Each artist is unique, hard-working and importantly harmless. Here is person who lost talented husband, two children and still sane enough to give interview! In her place I would have committed suicide or end up in mental hospital. You are a great woman madam. Let the dismiss not bother you.

I think she lost so much because she betrayed her first husband and make him alone just to marry jagjit singh ji that's why god punish her and make her alone in old age days.
Her first innocent husband have troubled a lot to come out from this sadness ,so sad how people take divorce , she destroyed her whole innocent family and after marriage also her 20 year old son died by accident, so sad she was punished by god only but she is not guilty

She was alone with her daughter n was doing hardwork to survive. When jagjit ji purposed her she didn't say yes after 2 year they get married. She has pure soul so God have met them with pure soul.

I think u have lack of information , jagjit singh himself said in an interview that he and chitra ji felt in love, chitra and her first husband have some issues, jagjit singh went to his first husband to talk about the marriage and then only ,her husband felt alone because her wife chitra wants to marry jagjit,so at force,her husband said yes and gave her divorce,god punished her,may be she is pour soul but what she did with her first husband is the outcome of today.
In india a lady keep their relationship strong till the last breath but chitra was married but still did afair with jagjit ji but everything which happens in life has it's own destiny,god punished her this is the fact .

the day jagjit singh gone..felt like sm one very of mine i lost..was listening since i ws 5 yr old..felt love in adolesence listening him...he is gone..i feel empty..i think he should have live for 10-15 yrs more..miss u father

I have been fond of listening Jagjit and Chitra Singh's music since my youth. I heard about the death of Jugjit and took it in a normal way as you have mournful thought on somebody's death and then get busy in your daily life. But recently I happened to know the traumas they met in life was more than shocking to me. All my sympathies all of a sudden went on their side. But more to Chitra as she faced bravely the departure of the souls of her 3 dear ones son, daughter and beloved husband one by one from this mortal world. She is stood strong realizing and embracing the bitter facts of life. It is not an easy task. I salute her for not succumbing to these killing realities and keeping herself up to finish the tasks she might have in her mind to tribute her husband and making remind her children through some positive gesture. Like she should establish a trust in names of Jugjit & Chitra. This trust should always sponsor every year 2 awards, one Vivek award for the best ghazal maestro in the sub continent and 2nd Monika award for the best female folk singer in the sub continent. These awards where will make her dear ones and herself enliven in the time to come, they will also help to remove the barriers of borders at least in the world of art & culture. If she succeeds in carrying out this marvellous task she will be the pioneer of peace in this part of the world and her name will ever remain on its mast. Shoaib, Karchiite

I was a kid when the duo got famous and popular. But, it had so much of an impact on me and my musical sense and taste, that till this date, even after 40 years, it has a deep influence in me. The duo and their singing is divine. Listening to many of their compositions , their ghazals , sometimes tears flow from my eyes and this feeling again is divine. Something that cannot be expressed. Pranams to both 🙏🙏Chitra ji, Jagjit Ji is with us only. He hasn’t left us .🙏
दर्द, मोहब्बत, गज़ल और जगजीत चित्रा सिंह .... Made for each other.. सच कहा जो शायर ने भी न सोचा हो जगजीत वो जज़्बात उतार लाते थे गाते हुए... बचपन से सुन रही हूँ, दिल जैसे ज़ुबान पर उछल आता है.. उस वक्त सब भूल जाता है..बहुत दर्दनाक था जब सुना था विवेक की असमय मौत के बारे मे,,,महीनो नही भूल पाई.. मिलकर गले लगाने का बहुत मन है चित्राजी को,जिस खूबसूरती से ज़िंदगी के दर्द को निभाया है शब्द नही हैं

Chitra's voice Jagjeet's music like spice in a delicious dish. Personally I listen Chitrajee more. I heard her first time talking about Jagjeet after his death. At moments it was hard for her to give words to emotions, which is very natural when the relationship has remained so deep. Wish her good health and happy living.

Chitra ji kisi heroine se kam nhi dikhti, balki unse bhi khi jyada stylish aur sundar hai aur iss umar mai bhi almost unhone apne aap ko maintain kr rkha hai. My heart fills up with grief for this brave lady,who lost her family but still she has stood up with strength.
She meant so much for the music and deserves so much better these days.
A voice from heaven and a strong humble personality but so punished by life.
The whole industry 'forgot' her since she decided to stop with singing.. and that craves me.
She and Jagjit ji opened the way for other women to sing ghazals on a high level.
I'll never forget her.. she has a special place in my heart.. hopefully other musiclovers will not forget her too 🙏🙏
There is memories of late shri jagjeet sins and madam Chitra singh. In entire life the love for gazals was marvelous. When they both were on the high altitude og music waves God intervened in there life by getting son vivek to him for ever, but both came out of the crises. And then jagjeetsinghji brought best of his music.. But God again snatched this wonderful man from the world by giving him trouble of brain hamerrege. Which him to leave this world.
At that time when I heard his sad demice. I waS just shocked.
Because I have faced the same with my father who also died of brain hamerrege.
Right from child hood of jagjeet singh hewas born for music and music for the whole world.
Chitra ji mai apkay songs sakoon k leay sunta tha..jab school sy wapis akar afternoon mai sonay ke koshsh karta tu apke casatte laga kar sunta ...love u guys.
