When we used to go to Orlando with my parents in the 80s and 90s, we would often stay at the Polynesian resort (which was smaller at the time). I have such great memories there. But nowadays, the premium to stay at a Disney resort is so high, I find I get much better value if I rent a car and stay at the Hilton opposite Downtown Disney or the huge Marriott World Center.
I spend most of my days at the parks anyway, so I don't need the hotel to be that amazing.
A place my family and I stayed at that was also a great option was a rental townhome with a pool in the townhome, a lazy river, hot tub, golf course, and so much more... easily booked on VRBO/Airbnb
I went to animal kingdom lodge it is AMAZING it isn’t a typical themed African hotel it’s more best hotel highly recommended

We most recently (2016) stayed at the Art of Animation resort (Nemo building) and absolutely LOVED it, however, my wife and I honeymooned at the Polynesian Resort as I also grew up doing family vacations at the Polynesian. Love BOTH locations!!

I stayed at the Polynesian in 1972, the Contemporary in 1974 and the golf club in 1983. All where good back then.

@@themepark101 I plan to stay a month at Disney World next year for the 50th anniversary of my first time trip to any Disney park. Oh and the room number at the golf club was 206.

@@alexanderhall8392 Yes it is. Had only 151 rooms back then. All room on the lower floor started with a 1 (101 to 176) and top floor with a 2 (201 to 275). My room was 206, I still have my room card!

The Beach Club had a spa when we were there. My wife used took advantage of it the day of our arrival.
Awesome. Hope she had a great time. I doubt the Spa services will be opening for a while.
I’ve only been to the Grand Floridian and other than the obnoxious price tag it’s good if you want a more relaxing and elegant experience. It’s probably better for older kids or adults however I went during Easter and there was an Easter egg hunt(pre covid) that was good for younger kids.
I grew up staying at the Contemporary, but have to say I prefer the Poly now. Great video!

the first 3 time i went to disney i went to the Polynesian Resort but my last one was the beach club which was fun. In my opinion i like the Polynesian better because with stitch and lilo’s play center i have no idea what it is caled
old key west is a very great resort, my family and i stay there a lot because they have bigger rooms for a cheaper cost! but we are apart of dvc so that may be a reason we love it so much
we also like saratoga spring! honestly we love every moderate and deluxe resort!!

Disney is one of our fave destination with our family. The happiest place and fun to visit. wonder if they offer like discount tickets or package deal for two adults and two kids. They're constantly doing offers like Free Dining or a Free nights stay if you pay for three, etc. Need to keep checking the website. Hope you get to visit Disney World this year!

We usually stay at an All- Star but loved Coronado when we stayed there!!! Trying out PO Riverside this summer.

We have stayed at the All stars a bunch and loved it the only draw back for us is the Bus. On a bus with 2 small kids and 2 strollers and bags at 11pm on a packed bus standing room only is not fun!

we went in 2019 of July and we stayed at all stars music resort we had so much fun! my favorite ride is Splash mountain
if your not a fan of roller coasters then the Space Ship Earth is for you!

I remember going last year to a disney hotel, just to see it, I didnt stayed, it had like totem walls and it looked like an iland, I think it was the wielderness lodge
It may of been the Polynesian Resort. Did you like it?
I didn't stayed there, my uncle and aunt have the annual pass and we were reserving something in magic kingdom, after that we went on a ferry and we went to see the hotel. But I liked it a lot. Now I remember after looking the video it was the wielderness lodge resort

Disney Parks Addict i don’t know I just love it as a hotel altogether! The pool, the rooms it’s all amazing! I also got some amazing pictures of the sunset from the balcony where toledo is with the tower of terror in the background. It’s just a beautiful hotel and I hope to go back when this is all over.

Enjoyed the video! Subscribed! We just put a video on our channel about the cabins at Ft Wilderness we just got back! We are already booked to go back to the cabins bad news is when we went it was over $600 a night but worth it!

@@themepark101 it was. And it was over New Year. We had a few things go wrong but you know Disney they are a class act they bent over backwards to make things right. The only thing is if your going to stay there and eat there dont get the quick service dining plan. We did and it was useless there. There is a take out bar with one person taking orders but the wait in line to order was for 45 min then the wait for food was 45 more. Table service plan is the way we are going this time!

I used to stay at shades of green but it’s only military members I believe.
That's right. I didn't include it in this list as it is a specialty resort and not open to all guests.

Glad it was helpful! There are a total of 25 Disney hotels at Walt Disney World!
There are 21 Disney-owned hotels on property and a host of good neighbor hotels (non-Disney-owned hotels that are located in WDW property, have a relationship with Walt Disney World, and are able to offer their guests some of the same benefits enjoyed by guests at the Disney-owned properties (some of them offer such benefits as early park entry, Disney transportation to the parks, etc...). These hotels include the WDW Swan, the WDW Dolphin, and the WDW Swan Reserve (just opened a few weeks ago). These three Marriott-owned-and-operated hotels are located in the Crescent Lake area, right behind the Boardwalk hotel and are in walking distance to EPCOT's International Gateway and the Skyliner as well Hollywood Studios as well as enjoy Disney bus and boat transportation to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and the three Disney-owned Crescent Lake hotels and boardwalk restaurants. Other non-Disney hotels on property include Shades of Green (the former Disney golf resort located directly across from the Grand Floridian and Polynesian that is now owned and operated by the U.S. Department of Defense and is open to members of the military and their families), the various Bonnett Creek hotels, the Four Seasons at Walt Disney World, and the various hotels located in the Disney Springs area. When you add in these non-Disney hotels, the number of hotels on WDW property comes close to 40.

Good choice! Pop Century is a great resort!
There are deals if you look carefully online. We got a standard view tower room at Coronado for $212 which is only a bit higher than Pop, and same price as their standard rooms out of the Coronado tower at normal price. Sites like Expedia will have discount codes (we found one for 12% off) and also Hotwire has hidden "hot" deals but if you search their map in the Buena Vista area and filter for only hotels with airport shuttles, you can figure out which ones are discounted Disney. If nothing else, you'll find a discount to stay at Pop again that way.
What about the swan and dolphin resort?
Not a Disney owned resort, so I left it out, but i'm planning on making a guide in the near future.

Although Swan and Dolphin are on Disney property, they are the only hotels not owned by Disney, so I didn't include them.

hi thanks for your video. i am bringing my family to go over in december. which 2 hotel can u recomend. 1 which is the easist to go into the disneyland so i can get a headstart. another that is the for the best theme hotel that u can remend but best for value.
The nearest hotel to the Magic Kingdom is the Contemporary, but as a Deluxe Hotel, it can be expensive. As for great theming, value and location, I would suggest Pop Century, as you can ride the Disney Skyliner straight to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. I hope this helps.

@@danieltjoa5353 Yes, all the Disney hotels offer early entry to some of the theme parks. If you only have three days, I would suggest one day for Magic Kingdom, One day for Hollywood Studios, then try to do Animal Kingdom in the morning, then head to Epcot in the late afternoon/evening.

I feel disney has become too greedy, not only are you paying high park tickets but they also want you to add park genie which costs about £100 per person! I have stayed at there hotels before the new changes! When my family got picked up by the airport chauffeur to be taken to the Disney resort, the chauffeur said “have you not noticed that Mickey Mouse pockets are deeper!!!!! We’ve decided to move on to universal studios as your definitely getting more for your money!
