I was asked to drill small wooden balls as heads for Christmas figures. The drill size was around 2 mm. After I drilled the recess to hold the ball, I drilled through the center to the other side of the board using the small bit. Then when I drilled from that side, the wood held the bit in the correct alignment and the holes were not off-center. By the way, I don't have a drill press so this was done with a hand-held drill. Thanks for the video.
Hey man, there is enough AI out there. Your own voice makes it seem much more genuine. If you are unsure about the explanation just include some captions. Keeps the attention and keeps the charm of your voice!
When using thin bits use a "pecking" technique instead of drilling all the way through in one shot. Drill a little bit then pull the bit up to let the flutes clear then drill a little bit more. The flutes filing up push the bit off-line in long holes.

Wel done. Now next challenge would be diagonal holes added. Accept challenge: Yes / No 😋
Brilliant! I can use elements of this for little ball feet I put on rod-legged side tables. Thanks. You are part of what makes RUclips great

Always impressed with your ingenuity. Thanks again for your videos.
You are a genius
Great idea. I will use this idea IF I ever need to drill a wooden ball...

Well done!
very cool made !!
Not sure what I would need to do this for,but I love your ingenuity. Much prefer your own voice though,as opposed to this AI.
Great ingenuity...thank you!
Excelente video , veo que usas la cabeza para algo más que para peinarte
Great work.

Clever.
Why do you use paper to level the ball? Why can't you just rest the dowels on the wood?
