Squeak! (hello fren! Rat will encounter a lot more unarmoured enemies than carapace or maniac, and being able to kill normal enemies faster with smaller secondary burst attacks saves a lot of time. Time which can be spent dealing with other threats. And especially paired with the speed which rat can spam secondary attacks, it ends up doing a lot more dps overall. Rat hopes this helps) ;D
