I agree. I was a teenager back when these were on TV so didn't get the comedy behind them then but now it all feels so relevant even though I'm not married.
There is an episode when Marie came to Carrie's house to pick up Ray but she was early and Ray was out with Dough. Marie tried to tell Carrie how to clean her house and Carrie tricked Marie into doing the cleaning for her by pretending to have Marie teach her how to clean, Carrie played Marie like a boss 😆
Never been into Everybody Loves Raymond but I would have loved an episode or two with a Heffernan, Palmer, Barone couple trio. I could see them all hanging out once or twice. Would have also loved an episode with Arthur and Raymond’s father
The worst thing is when a woman acts immature and silly, throwing a mood because of a reasonable helpful comment. Ugly character trait. They are the ones who go by the ‘’happy wife, happy life’ quote… only they are happy and thats all that matters.

@@indiasupportstrumpwwg1wga927And Debra became feisty and bitter throughout their marriage, when they first met it was normal. And rightfully so, Ray is unrealistic useless and dismissive about the little things in a marriage. Plus his parents lmao so funny...
There's an episode that shows how Doug met Carrie: she was a kind of troubled teen, she lost her mom early in her life and her home was not a home... they met by accident. After you watch that episode you start to understand why.
That happens frequently enough in real life. But this isn't about mopes. It's about show biz. You have to be much more attractive as a female to even get on a show. Males, not so much.
Nowadays we would identify it as an abusive marriage. Sorry but yea. Emotional and finanical abuse. No wonder she was angry all the time and trying to leave.....
There is some truth to that, but you don't respond to a jerky comment with that level of passive agressiveness. That will only escalate things and make it worse. You make it clear that it's not okay for them to talk to you like that and to communicate their issues in a more thoughtful way, instead of giving them underhanded jibes of resentment. As with most of their fights on this show, they're both in the wrong and continue to escalate matters until it reaches a critical failure point, when they're finally forced to confront what's been happening and patch things up. In a weird, fucked up sort of way, their marriage only works because neither one of them knows how it's supposed to work properly. They both say and do terrible things, but after the dust settles, they can't blame each other because they both know they fucked up just as much as the other one did. So all that's left to do is to just acknowledge that and make up, until the next fight happens. It's dysfunctional, but because they're both equally dysfunctional, it kinda works for them. It wouldn't make sense to anyone who isn't part of the relationship and they probably wouldn't be able to explain it to anyone who asks. They just know it works for them, even though it looks like it doesn't. Well, all of that and you know, the fact that it's a TV show so they kinda have to do things that way, because that's where most of the funny stuff happens.
Shows what people know, Doug was a groomsman at Ray's wedding. I'm fact,Doug and Ray have been friends waaaaaaay before. So all you young people on here stop saying cross overs, and underrated this and that.
Ya 👍 you boil/steam/grill it + put some butter (or spices if you want) on there and u can eat it like that. It's pretty good, tastes like regular sweet corn 🌽🌽🌽 Granted, it's usually a side dish, and not the main course
I guess it depends on the family/person/heritage/region. Personally, I've never eaten it that way unless it was grilled along with burgers or something.
Never liked Raymond or that show (mostly due to his annoying voice). The character’s appearances on _King of Queens_ were particularly bad because he always whined and got Doug into trouble for no good reason. Just wanted to choke him on every guest appearance 😂
Doug. Carrie was no angel but uptight was one of the things she was not. She was a loudmouth, kinda freaky sometimes... Doug had too much issues and insecurities that are funny as heII in a sitcom but it wouldn't have worked in real life.
