The only thing I wish they did was make Naoe the ONLY playable character and Yasuke only playable in certain missions, like in Origins with Bayek and Aya. The fact that Yasuke is limited to certain gameplay mechanics doesn't feel like it's worth it, while Naoe is like a true Assassin from previous games with an updated mechanism.

I'll just try to balance both, but bro hell naw, I wanna be a shinobi, ninjas are way cooler than samurais, still don't understand how they want us to play as yasuke when it's all about assasination from shadows and yet everybody knows that those who choose to work from shadows are a disgrace to samurai culture and dojos, they automatically flee and become shinobis, which is cool, but everything destroys the whole idea of samurai, so it's kinda weird to play as a samurai in an assassin type game, on the other hand playing as a shinobi would make a better sense, tho the blade should be either a smaller katana like in sekiro kusabimaru either wakizashi, and tanto, + we need some kunais but not as throwables and shurikens as only the throwables. plus there must be literally a whole different level of parkour and movement either combat, more like dojo style, some taijutsu, kenjutsu, higher altitude jumps like ninjas do and little wall runs, ninja dashes and flips, kicking moveset like ninjas literally whirl around in the fights, + literal ninjutsus would be cool, suchs as short time invisibility maybe in smoke bombs or something like dat, long reach attacks with kicks, teleportation and big leaps to travel fast. all this must be considered in this game since it's a bit of a mystic style game.
Ubisoft has shown that with AC games, their best titles are those that they take huge risks on. After AC I, when they showed that ACII would be in a different setting with a new protagonist, gamers were skeptical and there was backlash before the release. Later with Black Flag, it was the same. People said the pirate setting wasnt true to the series. And lets not forget Origins, with its RPG elements. So much hate beforehand. And you know what? Those games went on to be huge successes and fan favorites. I expect it will be the same with Shadows, and I commend Ubisoft for mixing up their formula and trying different things rather than trying to be like everyone else with their AC games

The game isn't ready nor will it be in 3 months. And its true people might forgive a few bugs if they loved the story and world building but these don't really seem that good nor interesting.
The game is in a sorry state no glazing from this channel is going to change that. I would expect glitches worse than Unity. Ubisofr cancelling season pass and early access to delay the game by an extra 3 days is extremely concerning
Oh well here we go again, saying that the game is in sorry state when it is not out yet is a serious jumping of the building. You can be sceptical about that stuff, sure, but dont jump into conclusions when the product is not released yet and obviously they took some more time to not mess this one up for obvious reasons, they need this one to be succesful. Im kinda fun of that attitude to be honest so its fine for me, if they need more time to tweak some bugs and change something there or there, that should be fine or shouldnt it? As for the monetization, how it is concerning for the game? Many fans, me included, were quite mad at their current monetization system such as season passes, 3 days early access and stuff like that so thumbs up for their change of behaviour towards the customers, at least in some ways. We will still probably get shops and buying xps and stuff like that, but for me they improved at least in some ways. So to conclude, I dont think calling the game being in the sorry state is a right thing to do here, sure the game can turn out buggy, but at least have some faith in them that they wanna deliver something good to us instead of being the executioner right away, thats all.

Lots of people, and including myself, have made fun of this game because of Ghost of Tsushima. But being a long time ac fan, I'm still hyped to try this one out.
I hate the concept of playing two characters for the same missions (i got sick of it in Syndicate), i hate the rpg concept (AC was never suposed to be an rpg) and i hate that when we finally get a game set in Japan i can't play as a japanese samurai but instead i get an african tourist. And that's before we even know if the game itself is any good.

She's created by the founder of S B I, so that should give you an indication of how evie's inclusion wasn't for the benefit of the game. Evie is 2 dimensional and boring and without any character growth or depth, when compared to Jacob who has himself a great character arc from reckless young man, to more thoughtful and accountable master assassin. Jacob's journey as he wrestles between being a ruthless gang leader and an honourable assassin is fantastic, especially in the Roth levels, where the pair talk about the philosophy behind their quest for freedom. Jacob is the primary main protagonist of syndicate, and evie is essentially like aya or haytham, a playable character but not a protagonist by any means. In addition, evie isn't actually the canonical character for London stories and gang conquest activities. For an example of this, Roth says to Jacob that he invited specifically Jacob to dinner, because Jacob was seen taking down the gang leaders and helping his accosiates. So we know evie didn't do those levels either. My point is that Jacob should be recognised as the games main protagonist, because if you play syndicate today, the entire way through, then you'll know for a fact that Jacob is the main character, not one half of a protagonist, he's the full protagonist. That matters to me as a huge syndicate hardcore fan.
@@chrismoore5333 One of the things that broke my imersion is that in Victorian London Evie's outfits are in complete contrast with the women's fashion of the time, unlike her brother's who were more in line. AC Liberation did it better with Aveline, she had three personas( outfits) and one of them was wearing a fluffy dress and a hat, wich limited her combat eficiency but greatly increased her social stealth, she could walk around unnoticed and really blend with the crowd. Evie instead wears pants and visible weapons in a time where all women wore long skirts and corsets. She couldn't possible be walking in Victorian London without abosolutely every npc noticing her standing out but somehow it all goes away when she couches wich "activates" stealth and makes it all go away. I facepalmed hard every time i saw that.

We're lucky Jacob is the primary main hero of the game, because if it had been evie instead, then the experience would've sucked! And yeah, Jacob not only fits into the setting, but his outfits are also somehow more old school assassin's creed. He has the pointed hood, he has a more historically accurate look, but with the outline of your typical assassin's outfit. Just look at Connor for example. Connor had the typical assassin's creed outfit elements, bit he had a coat not a robe, because his setting didn't have robes. Same as how Jacob has a coat and not a robe for the same reason. Yet evie either wears mens clothes or robes. She's terrible! And as for Aveline, I actually really like Aveline. She's underrated, perhaps not as underrated as Jacob, but still. I was literally just playing liberation, and Aveline is a far better female protagonist, who actually is the main hero in her game, meanwhile evie is a bad character and she's only a side character in Jacob's game. The fact is, the more recent female heros in these games haven't been included for the right reasons, and so they aren't very good. Aveline had actual passion behind her inclusion in the franchise.
Just played as Evie exclusively and not going to lie, since when are Assassin's less sneaky and the other is better at combat. You are right, what they did with that game is atrocious. She should have been the companion sister or even the Brotherhood like Assassin's.

She's a poorly written character and worse yet, she doesn't have the lead writer work on her story or character at all. Jeffery Yohalem and Corey may, lead writers for syndicate, both created Jacob, his story, and the games general narrative concept and fantasy. Evie and her story, which is remarkably smaller, were made by Ceri Young and kim belair. It's like an awful dlc that your forced to play through here and there, that's just been shoehorned into a game about Jacob.
People aren't giving this game enough credit, it solves problems that many had with previous games, specifically it relies a lot on stealth and the characters don't seem to have any superhuman abilities.

The people who were causing all these problems for syndicate, origins and valhalla, have now become the only people working on assassin's creed. (Go figure how that happened.)

Syndicate went too far with that steam powered gauntlet that allowed you to jump from building to building like Spider Man. That was just too much. But Unity, that was underrated.
Literally nothing about thus game gets me hyped. First AC game I won't have played, and that's largely because both of the protagonists seem uninspired and boring, gameplay seems like the same old RPG era stuff, but with less weapon variety, no viewpoints is a massive fail, the soundtrack actually sounds silly for some reason, and I can't for the life of me name one big city location that actually looks like it may have some depth and good parkour and stealth gameplay, to top that off, there's no modern day at all, we're talking even less modern day elements than AC liberation had. So yeah, as a fan of actual Assassin's creed, this new shadows game seems absolutely terrible.

I'll just try to balance both, but bro hell naw, I wanna be a shinobi, ninjas are way cooler than samurais, still don't understand how they want us to play as yasuke when it's all about assasination from shadows and yet everybody knows that those who choose to work from shadows are a disgrace to samurai culture and dojos, they automatically flee and become shinobis, which is cool, but everything destroys the whole idea of samurai, so it's kinda weird to play as a samurai in an assassin type game, on the other hand playing as a shinobi would make a better sense, tho the blade should be either a smaller katana like in sekiro kusabimaru either wakizashi, and tanto, + we need some kunais but not as throwables and shurikens as only the throwables. plus there must be literally a whole different level of parkour and movement either combat, more like dojo style, some taijutsu, kenjutsu, higher altitude jumps like ninjas do and little wall runs, ninja dashes and flips, kicking moveset like ninjas literally whirl around in the fights, + literal ninjutsus would be cool, suchs as short time invisibility maybe in smoke bombs or something like dat, long reach attacks with kicks, teleportation and big leaps to travel fast. all this must be considered in this game since it's a bit of a mystic style game.
Ubisoft has shown that with AC games, their best titles are those that they take huge risks on. After AC I, when they showed that ACII would be in a different setting with a new protagonist, gamers were skeptical and there was backlash before the release. Later with Black Flag, it was the same. People said the pirate setting wasnt true to the series. And lets not forget Origins, with its RPG elements. So much hate beforehand. And you know what? Those games went on to be huge successes and fan favorites. I expect it will be the same with Shadows, and I commend Ubisoft for mixing up their formula and trying different things rather than trying to be like everyone else with their AC games

The game is in a sorry state no glazing from this channel is going to change that. I would expect glitches worse than Unity. Ubisofr cancelling season pass and early access to delay the game by an extra 3 days is extremely concerning

Oh well here we go again, saying that the game is in sorry state when it is not out yet is a serious jumping of the building. You can be sceptical about that stuff, sure, but dont jump into conclusions when the product is not released yet and obviously they took some more time to not mess this one up for obvious reasons, they need this one to be succesful. Im kinda fun of that attitude to be honest so its fine for me, if they need more time to tweak some bugs and change something there or there, that should be fine or shouldnt it? As for the monetization, how it is concerning for the game? Many fans, me included, were quite mad at their current monetization system such as season passes, 3 days early access and stuff like that so thumbs up for their change of behaviour towards the customers, at least in some ways. We will still probably get shops and buying xps and stuff like that, but for me they improved at least in some ways. So to conclude, I dont think calling the game being in the sorry state is a right thing to do here, sure the game can turn out buggy, but at least have some faith in them that they wanna deliver something good to us instead of being the executioner right away, thats all.

I hate the concept of playing two characters for the same missions (i got sick of it in Syndicate), i hate the rpg concept (AC was never suposed to be an rpg) and i hate that when we finally get a game set in Japan i can't play as a japanese samurai but instead i get an african tourist. And that's before we even know if the game itself is any good.
@@RafaelSantos-pi8py I love Syndicate, absolutely adore the game! And Jacob is my favourite character in that game. The thing is, evie is actually my least favourite character. She's created by the founder of S B I, so that should give you an indication of how evie's inclusion wasn't for the benefit of the game. Evie is 2 dimensional and boring and without any character growth or depth, when compared to Jacob who has himself a great character arc from reckless young man, to more thoughtful and accountable master assassin. Jacob's journey as he wrestles between being a ruthless gang leader and an honourable assassin is fantastic, especially in the Roth levels, where the pair talk about the philosophy behind their quest for freedom. Jacob is the primary main protagonist of syndicate, and evie is essentially like aya or haytham, a playable character but not a protagonist by any means. In addition, evie isn't actually the canonical character for London stories and gang conquest activities. For an example of this, Roth says to Jacob that he invited specifically Jacob to dinner, because Jacob was seen taking down the gang leaders and helping his accosiates. So we know evie didn't do those levels either. My point is that Jacob should be recognised as the games main protagonist, because if you play syndicate today, the entire way through, then you'll know for a fact that Jacob is the main character, not one half of a protagonist, he's the full protagonist. That matters to me as a huge syndicate hardcore fan.
@@chrismoore5333 One of the things that broke my imersion is that in Victorian London Evie's outfits are in complete contrast with the women's fashion of the time, unlike her brother's who were more in line.
AC Liberation did it better with Aveline, she had three personas( outfits) and one of them was wearing a fluffy dress and a hat, wich limited her combat eficiency but greatly increased her social stealth, she could walk around unnoticed and really blend with the crowd.
Evie instead wears pants and visible weapons in a time where all women wore long skirts and corsets. She couldn't possible be walking in Victorian London without abosolutely every npc noticing her standing out but somehow it all goes away when she couches wich "activates" stealth and makes it all go away. I facepalmed hard every time i saw that.

We're lucky Jacob is the primary main hero of the game, because if it had been evie instead, then the experience would've sucked! And yeah, Jacob not only fits into the setting, but his outfits are also somehow more old school assassin's creed. He has the pointed hood, he has a more historically accurate look, but with the outline of your typical assassin's outfit. Just look at Connor for example. Connor had the typical assassin's creed outfit elements, bit he had a coat not a robe, because his setting didn't have robes. Same as how Jacob has a coat and not a robe for the same reason. Yet evie either wears mens clothes or robes. She's terrible! And as for Aveline, I actually really like Aveline. She's underrated, perhaps not as underrated as Jacob, but still. I was literally just playing liberation, and Aveline is a far better female protagonist, who actually is the main hero in her game, meanwhile evie is a bad character and she's only a side character in Jacob's game. The fact is, the more recent female heros in these games haven't been included for the right reasons, and so they aren't very good. Aveline had actual passion behind her inclusion in the franchise.
Just played as Evie exclusively and not going to lie, since when are Assassin's less sneaky and the other is better at combat. You are right, what they did with that game is atrocious. She should have been the companion sister or even the Brotherhood like Assassin's.
@@RedArc4Lif3 evie sucks, and game journalists and evie fanatics have been so toxic and so consistent in hating Jacob and making it hard for Jacob fans to enjoy this game, that I now absolutely despise evie! She's a poorly written character and worse yet, she doesn't have the lead writer work on her story or character at all. Jeffery Yohalem and Corey may, lead writers for syndicate, both created Jacob, his story, and the games general narrative concept and fantasy. Evie and her story, which is remarkably smaller, were made by Ceri Young and kim belair. It's like an awful dlc that your forced to play through here and there, that's just been shoehorned into a game about Jacob.
People aren't giving this game enough credit, it solves problems that many had with previous games, specifically it relies a lot on stealth and the characters don't seem to have any superhuman abilities.
I'm already hyped.

Originally Jacob was the only playable protagonist, but evie was shoehorned into the game by the person who created S B I. It's been downhill ever since then. Origins and Valhalla were sort of made by the people who made black flag, but their teams were heavily interfered with as well. The people who were causing all these problems for syndicate, origins and valhalla, have now become the only people working on assassin's creed. (Go figure how that happened.)

Syndicate went too far with that steam powered gauntlet that allowed you to jump from building to building like Spider Man. That was just too much. But Unity, that was underrated.

Literally nothing about thus game gets me hyped. First AC game I won't have played, and that's largely because both of the protagonists seem uninspired and boring, gameplay seems like the same old RPG era stuff, but with less weapon variety, no viewpoints is a massive fail, the soundtrack actually sounds silly for some reason, and I can't for the life of me name one big city location that actually looks like it may have some depth and good parkour and stealth gameplay, to top that off, there's no modern day at all, we're talking even less modern day elements than AC liberation had. So yeah, as a fan of actual Assassin's creed, this new shadows game seems absolutely terrible.
