Re leverage - are the banks actually taking on the risk? I’m not sure. If the market crashes and the banks want their money back, it’s the landlords equity that takes the hit, hence 25% deposit. The banks own the house until it’s paid off, not the landlord
Hi Jamie. I’ve been thinking about to relocate from the South to North. Which parts of Leeds (or satellite town) would you recommend to move to? I’d need a safe area with relatively low rent that would later be my patch.
Not in the slightest bud. Section 21 removal isn’t bad at all. I’d be shocked if labour is particular extreme tbh. But I don’t really mind if they are. Change means opportunity. Those that adapt will always win

With the scrapping of section 21 won't that mean we will always have to go via the court for reprosesson and then court costs worries.?..one bad tennant could wipe out over a years profit and cost a fortune on top. This makes me worry about investing more in btl.

Very true! But you can also protect against that with insurances with very low premiums
I hate how I always read on reddit and other places how bad BTL is and how there is no profit in it anymore, just not true.

You can actually get 80-95% LTV loans to buy stocks at very low interest rates (below 5%) not from banks though from brokerages like IG and CMC

If the interest rate is high it is not a good strategy. Depends on how big is your cash.

If a house is for sale for 60,000 and i put down a deposit of 10,000, could i then use 50,000 as levearge from the banks?
For a BTL you would need to put down £15k in afraid
