I live in the Morningside/Ansley Park area just across the street from Ansley Mall and 1 block from the Piedmont Driving/Golf Club and only minutes from midtown and 1 block from the city park (Piedmont park) and feel generally safe here. Just read a summary of murders in 2022 and only about 6 were anywhere near here. And I am not rich, but this is an upscale area and more pricey for homes and apartments. Agree with your list. Buckhead is QUITE trafficky, so beware if considering it.
Hey Thomas! I'm very familiar with Ansley Mall as my wife and I own Discount Nutrition there in the mall next to the tennis store. We've been there now for about 6 years and I LOVE that area of Morningside and the Golf Club. Such a cool are with very beautiful homes, but YES, you absolutely pay the price for them! lol. How long have you lived there? Have you ever been to our store before?

Rent a townhouse; was feeling cramped at Lav Walk-apts too small for me. Moved to ATL from Los Angeles in 2013 after living there for 25 years, and before then - Atlanta! Practiced law in L.A. but now do only consulting for law firms. YES I have purchased items from Discount Nutrition and do so every 3-4 months. My partner is very resistant to buying a house-says then you have to fix stuff when it breaks! Had to do that in L.A. when I owned a penthouse condo, but it was brand new when purchased. And I like a roomy place-P/House was 2 stories. Still I love to see ATL homes-particularly tours of interiors.

Atlanta is the 9th largest city in the US. Yes, there's crime everywhere, but Atlanta is no where near the top of that list. We have 6 million people here and growing faster than our infrastructure can keep up with. Show me one city in the top 20 largest cities that doesn't have a bad traffic problem. What you're leaving out is everything else that it has to offer, because that will override these little bullshit complaints my miles. When you consider our location, the airport, the number of fortune 500 corporations headquartered here, the top universities in the country that are here, our award winning school systems, close to the beach, the mountains, etc...the sports teams, the diversity, on and on.....the your stupid "arm pit" comment no longer makes any sense.

Definitely on the outskirts of the city limits and into the suburbs.
