- Jay Davies was once paid handsomely to ride a surfboard. After covid killed his RVCA contract, he's had to find alternative means to make a living. So, now he's throwing ropes on a WA tugboat.

I remember Jay getting the wild card in the Margret River Pro some years back.....he schooled ALL THE PROs...I honestly thought he was going to win the whole CT event.

From his perspective it seems easy to complain and feel frustrated but it's awesome to see his positive outlook and attitude in this video! Should share his workout regime, guy built like a spartan.
It's a pretty good job to be able to get into, i'm sure with a bit more experience you'll be able to pick up a good roster and more tubes

I admire Jay since a know him. Really sorry for lost his sponsor but honestly i feel its a bit unfair because the guy charges most of lots of freesurfer sponsored i think he needs make more visuals thinks more videos and he come back to the scene. Cheers Jay you"re beast.

It seems that he's an ordinary seaman. I used to be, pretty good job, huge and different, but when you do your best you can be a future tug boat captain.
