I have Saturn in Capricorn in my first house! I have just given birth to my first book. Last Saturn return l gave birth to my first child. I am grateful for Saturn in my life. It's not easy, but it is extraordinary. I am thrilled by the fact that it's my Saturn return until 2020! Thank you for sharing your wisdom and helping me understand what is going on astrologically. Aloha from Kauai.
Thank you Nadiyah, for all you do! One of the issues I have found with professional interpretations of Saturn in a natal chart is that the chart only shows types of energy the person needs to work with in certain areas of their life; but it doesn't necessary tell us whether the person needs to expand that area of their life or contract it. Someone with Mars conjunct Jupiter and Uranus in the 4th house might need to learn to tone down their drive/anger/reactiveness for 4th house issues, or their chart could equally be pointing to a karmic lesson in this life to pursue 4th house issues that they have been repressing and ignoring for a long time. I have Saturn in the 5th house and many astrologers have told me I'll have no fun in life, no love, no outlets for being childlike, and I need to buckle down and realize that life is serious. But actually I was born serious and with a natural lack of fun and lightheartedness in my character, and my first Saturn return really thwacked me on that issue, and the lesson was that being serious and having no fun was making me dangerously ill and depressed! At that time, an astrologer gave me a reading that was the opposite of the professional readings I had received in the past. She interpreted my Saturn in the 5th placement as indicating that I need to get serious about making fun, love and being childlike a priority in my life, and that because this doesn't come naturally to me, Saturn is indicating that I'll need to work hard at having fun. (This is the opposite of the "stop having fun and be more serious" advice the other astrologers gave me!) I took her advice, made fun and love a priority, and my happiness and health improved dramatically. I wanted to share this here so others know that astrology tells us where we need to engage with certain energies and areas of our lives, but doesn't necessarily tell us whether we need to expand or contract that energy of our lives. In the end, I think only we can interpret the finer details of our placements, because we are in our own heads and come to know which perceptions lead us to success or roadblocks.
Thankyou so much for sharing this!! I have been told the same as yourself for a very long time, then I had a reading a few months ago... complete my the opposite!! Be fun and have fun! Many Blessings to you 🙏🦋😄🧚🤣😂
Hi Nadiya! Thank you for this lecture. It would be great if you could also share your insights on the retrograde Saturn in the natal chart and (hard) aspects to AC, MC, DC, IC. All the best!
My natal chart has Saturn in Capricorn. My personal life experience has been that whatever I dedicated myself to heart and soul with discipline and consistency somehow always yielded nothing whereas other things that I did nothing to earn were handed to me on a silver platter. This seems in complete contradiction to what I thought the Saturn energy was supposed to be. Explanations anyone?
Great question. Sadly no one responded for a whole year. You likely have answered it on your own by now. For others curious however: you probably have Neptune and Uranus in Capricorn spinning your Saturn House affairs. And it may even be the 8th which is the House of Other People's Values. Neptune is where you give yourself away and Uranus is where you take an independent stand and Saturn is practical and powerful in Cap so you may be a really helpful person. But Mars in Libra or Virgo may be making things a little problematic. If you have Jupiter exalted in Cancer, maybe even in the 2nd, that would start to explain your silver platters... ;-)
Im 62, a man and just went through my second Saturn Return, I had heard about this, and kind knew what to expect... the 'unexpected'.... My wife of 16 years, surprised with a divorce and the lies and deceit that comes with that, ripping the family apart and lying to our kids and taking everything... I laughed in the face of Saturn and it ripped through my life. It is a out of control bull in a china shop, and trying to stop it or getting in its way only makes things get worse. I let Saturn tear through my life, ravaging EVERYTHING.... everything but me, that is... At some point, Saturn exhausted itself, and fizzled out of my life (for the next 27 years or so) My now ex-wife is 9 years younger than I, and I do so look forward to her Saturn Return... Its going to be a "GREAT SHIT SHOW" and SHE.. will try to 'control' or 'fix it'.. only intensifying it.... Its REALLY going to be fun to watch. I have 3 kids, I will enjoy watching their first Saturn Return as well, a completely different 'realization' for them... and none of them are prepared for it either. Making it trough your first and second Saturn Return is kinda like making it though a mine field, then resting in a grassy meadow on the other side, watch others struggle through it. Being for-warned is being for-armed... I DEFEATED Saturn and Im quite smug about it. my ex-wife and my children, they WILL learn the lessons the more difficult way.
Hello, I wondered if you could tell me about if Saturn is in your midheaven? I have Saturn in Sag Rx. You also talk about the houses opposed to the sign and the different energies. Is there somewhere else where I can look? I also want to know about your Astrology courses!
Kurt Cobain died 3 days after his 27 years old birthday. He hasn't fully experienced his Saturn return. He just took a sip of it and couldn't bear it? My own Saturn return's peak was exactly when I was 28 and half.
I'm a leo rising 18° aries sun 22° capricorn moon 29° neptune capricorn- pluto in scorpio- Uranus in saggitarius I think I have a stellium in taurus with north node taurus- mars in taurus- midhaven taurus as well.. Thank you Nadiya for sharing. Saturn is killing me right now, I'm glad there's an astrological explanation.
