A recommendation from me is slippers/sliders 😫 so annoying having to walk through other peoples mess in the corridors/kitchen/communal bathroom areas so to save yourself the hassle of putting on proper shoes each time you need to do something outside your room (also this includes fire drills - my accommodation last year had a track record for them) you’ll appreciate how quick and easy it is to throw slippers/sliders on instead 🙋🏻
Literally wore heels for maybe 5 mins of pre's in the entire year before taking them off and wearing trainers. This was freshers ball too, so don't listen to other people and check with the organisers on the dress code x
loved this video! one thing I'd say though, if you have any extra cool/out there/funky items of clothing you didn't feel confident enough to wear in high school, defo bring them to uni! You might feel confident enough to wear them in a group of new people
Can you please upload a - 'What's in my backpack! ' you inspire me, and I'm going back to school soon and have no idea what I will actually need haha :) x
hey nayna, planning to start uni in jan and am super nervous. this video was super helpful and i loved your recommendations!! your're super pretty i'm in love with your style!! keep posting xx
This video was more helpfull than I expected. The little tidbits of insight like worrying about being too dressy but actually everyone else also dresses up. And now it can get hot even in the winterl. Truly helpful. Great video! ❤️ And I loved that you showed us some of your pieces too!
Love this! I defo did the same and took way too many clothes in first year 😂 I’d also recommend bringing one or two nice dresses for balls/fancier events if your uni or society have them! (Also congrats on 30K, you’re growing so quickly woo 🎉) xxx
loved this video! i just finished first year and I would recommend bringing a bag for going out/clubbing like a clutch bag or bum bag! i completely forgot to bring that when i went and had to buy a new one for freshers, otherwise u might lose your phone easily if you just carry it x
Dresses and skirts are so important, if you have ones that can be layered and dressed down or up are prefect for uni, as you can wear them on a night out, to a lecture, or look nice in winter when you layer : D
I just found your channel and I love how unique and helpful your videos are! I’ve never seen a video about what to bring to uni before but it’s so helpful and I’ll definitely keep this in mind when I go next year!
I would say definitely take into consideration wardrobe/storage space! I took SO many jumpers (I live in them) but storing them was a NIGHTMARE and took up all my storage space😅
you literally showed your teddy bear coat, I went straight to Depop and bought the same one for fifteen quid, thanks so much, it’s so pretty😍 is it thick? does it keep you warm?? ❤️
Ahhh! This video is so helpful, thank you! I’m thinking of going but I can’t attend an open day so I’d love a video on your uni and Edinburgh itself? 🤔
I don't own a lot because I don't have very much space and also because I went through everything I own about a year ago and got rid of everything I don't need (forced but oh well). But I'm getting kicked out as soon as I go to university so I have to take everything with me. And that sounds like a lot to take but it's kinda sad to mention that I own less than a lot of people take with them to university anyway so I'm just going to erase any trace of me at the house (not an issue, my family is toxic af) and pay for a longer let in uni accommodation so I can stay for the holidays too (because I won't have anywhere to go lmao). But yeah I'm watching this like 'I need leggings so bad omlllllll' 🤣
Hi Nayna! I love your channel! Can you do a video explaining how you got started on youtube? I just started up my channel again a few months ago and I'd really love some advice on how to get your channel going!
Are there many places at uni for working out? I’d love to see a video on how you manage to fit it into your routine! I’ve just found your channel and I’m so happy to have found a uni blogger in the uk! So many are in the us which is so interesting to see but might not be the same as where I’ll be going 💕
Where did you find lululemon in the uk x I felt the same about T-shirt’s lol, I bought T-shirt’s for outfits and didn’t wear any of them and now I only bought 4 T-shirt’s for second year
Do you think you could find a link to where you got your veja vegan trainers from? I’ve looked everywhere but can only find ones with real leather :( xx
By any chance, do you remember the exact model of your veja shoes? They're literally what I look for in trainers but I can't seem to find the same on the website.. Besides that, very helpful video! I'm from France and will be attending the uni of Edinburgh starting this fall so this vid is super useful as I don't really know what to expect of the weather etc
Mélanie Dalstein bring more warmer clothes especially for autumn and winter and a good warm jacket is essential, I’m from Edinburgh and it can be quite rainy :))
it’s interesting to see the diffs and sims between your list & what I’d think to bring! overall it’s superrr common to over pack I also posted a back to school video on my channel if ur interested 🌿🌻
I am going to Edinburgh in September I have heard that it is very cold in Edinburgh during winter. What do I need to bring with me to ensure I manage to stay warm in winter and how cold exactly does it get?
Maria Rak I study in Edinburgh and it gets really quite cold, think snowing and about -4 I'd say. Just make sure you wear layers so you can strip off in lectures but stay warm when you're outside

Hey can you make a video about how you take your notes at uni xx
R J on the to do list!!
would love a packing list for freshers/ what you packed but didn’t end up using x
u don't need heels!!
Literally wore heels for maybe 5 mins of pre's in the entire year before taking them off and wearing trainers. This was freshers ball too, so don't listen to other people and check with the organisers on the dress code x
love this concept! i'd say smaller bags for nights out or going places where you don't need books/laptop are also great! x
loved this video! one thing I'd say though, if you have any extra cool/out there/funky items of clothing you didn't feel confident enough to wear in high school, defo bring them to uni! You might feel confident enough to wear them in a group of new people
damn ive not seen an aesthetic/uni student youtuber from edinburgh uni until now! edin's my hometown and i feel oddly proud haha
Lol: opposite with Artistic courses, my advice is bring all your most out there and not necessarily comfy outfits as everyone goes all out 😭😂
im glad lol, i'm planning on taking an art course (hopefully) and i was a teensy bit worried about being overdressed
yay new video!! love this idea! maybe a what‘s in my kanken?
btw, what color is your kanken in? xx
planetmaja good idea! and sorry i’m not sure💕
It’s in the colour frost green !
crackhead hours ah thank you so much dear!!! ❤️❤️
You remind me sunbeamjess sooooo much. It’s like you’re her younger sister or something 😭 and I’m pretty sure she studied in Scotland too
Can you please upload a - 'What's in my backpack! ' you inspire me, and I'm going back to school soon and have no idea what I will actually need haha :) x
hey nayna, planning to start uni in jan and am super nervous. this video was super helpful and i loved your recommendations!! your're super pretty i'm in love with your style!! keep posting xx
definitely bring some formal wear for balls / formal dinners, i.e. long dresses, suits etc !!
This video was more helpfull than I expected. The little tidbits of insight like worrying about being too dressy but actually everyone else also dresses up. And now it can get hot even in the winterl. Truly helpful. Great video! ❤️ And I loved that you showed us some of your pieces too!
Would love to see your most worn outfits for each season, like posting your summer favourites after this summer has ended❤️
the opening of your video shows just how authentically you live. i really admire you :)
Love this! I defo did the same and took way too many clothes in first year 😂 I’d also recommend bringing one or two nice dresses for balls/fancier events if your uni or society have them! (Also congrats on 30K, you’re growing so quickly woo 🎉) xxx
Hannah M For nice dresses you mean cocktail dresses or a proper long gown?
Laia Mallafré I’d say bring both just in case- it sort of depends on the event but ultimately whatever you prefer will most likely be fine x

Dresses and skirts are so important, if you have ones that can be layered and dressed down or up are prefect for uni, as you can wear them on a night out, to a lecture, or look nice in winter when you layer : D
