This was pretty recently in late December of 2022, my neighbour knew I was playing guitar and he knew I wanted an electric guitar. So he gave my parents one of his favourite guitars and then my parents gave it to me on Christmas. I still have it to this day and it’s my favourite guitar because of sentimental value. Thanks neighbour, god bless ya.
When I was like 4-5 years old I desperately wanted to buy my mom a birthday surprise. So she gave me a bit money and waited outside the store. I got her a flower and thought I had enough money, but I missed a few cents. The cashier was quite annoyed which I could sense. The lady behind me defended me, then she gave me the missing money, but not in a ‚I’m so generous’ kind of way, she handed it to me as if it was mine and did not expect anything from it. I was quite young but this was imprinted in my brain, now every time I notice someone in a similar situation I help out and try to do it as respectful as possible, since most people feel ashamed to take money from strangers. I sometimes see those videos from people who film themselves as they help someone out. I hate those. It’s disrespectful for the person in need.
I agree. I always try to slip the money quietly without a big show. I have been in a situation where someone helped pay for my groceries, like 20 bucks. I was taking items off, and the couple behind me insisted that I not take anything off. They were pretty loud about it and looking around to see if anyone was looking and smiling. Don't get me wrong, I was very thankful, but also very embarrassed. Especially in front of my little boy. Didn't want him knowing at the time or worrying. So yeah, its best to be discreet.
I asked my dad when I was a kid to give me 20$ to buy Christmas presents for my parents and brother. I gave them 1$ bill each with "merry Christmas" written on them and kept the rest.

I love how polite the young boy was by not invading the man's space by leaning in, how some kids do. He sat straight up and the glance they gave each other was absolutely priceless. The man rewarding his politeness by handing the phone to the boy who was clearly eager for a turn was so satisfying! Salute to you sir.
Politeness is taught at home from parents. Kids now of days are handed games so the parents don't have to deal with them. I salute the boy, man, and the boys parents for raising an well behaved young man. 👏
Polite by staring at the man's screen? Interesting point of view. I shall be polite tonight staring into everyone window then. Lmao The dude saw the kid staring and felt akward by it. That's why he gave him the phone. It wasn't a genuine reflex move bcuz it took him a few thinking moments to do so. He was clearly uneasy by giving the boy his phone. So he was a nice guy by giving the phone but far from special. He didn't even talk to the boy lol

Ann Ellis j wouldn’t thank the mother in my opinion. If I would’ve done something like that as a kid my mom would have told me “ leave him alone sit back and behave here play with my phone and apologize to the man” it’s a bit rude if your child is getting into someone’s business like that.

So often kids are ignored. It’s always been that way. My parents let my siblings and I talk at the dinner table. I noticed families who didn’t and it always made me think I could understand and talk about bigger things.

Yea, he wanted to play so bad. He was very patient.
I always ignore kids on such travels 😒 dont want to get problems with the parents for interacting, everyone will look strange on a man interacting with kids.
T. S. Yea if you’re a fucking weirdo. There’s nothing strange about this other than that kid wasn’t even a kid it was a grown adult and he stole the phone and took off as the doors were closing
Little kid 🤗
Totally...
simply things can be so precious. but always underrated by people. Gbu

I asked my dad when I was a kid to give me 20$ to buy Christmas presents for my parents and brother.
I gave them 1$ bill each with "merry Christmas" written on them and kept the rest.

Politeness is taught at home from parents. Kids now of days are handed games so the parents don't have to deal with them. I salute the boy, man, and the boys parents for raising an well behaved young man. 👏
